Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

“The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page.” ~ Saint Augustine

Freedom ... It was nice.

Following her infuriating and stressful farce with the passport clerk, likely forever burned into memory, and the crazy episode during gate duty—one could say it was greatly relieving to see things finally fall according to plan for once.
Backpack slung over a shoulder, boots replaced the Chuunin’s typical loafers for the journey. It'd be a lie to claim the kunoichi hadn't felt excitement. How long it'd been since she'd truly ventured abroad—nearly ten years, if recalled correct.
Her stranding in Marsh country, however ...Well, wouldn’t actually be considered her definition of ‘traveling’ per se. Out of country? Yes. An experience? Most definitely. Enjoyable? ... Eh, those wouldn't quite be the words to describe it.
Reaching the gates—the crossroads between Kumogakure and the outside world—the Chuunin inhaled a breath of what almost tasted like new air, despite not leaving home quite just yet. Without a doubt, the outer country of Kaminari no Kuni proved harsh and unforgiving—a great hurdle she'd surely have to first overcome afore even hoping to taste her desire. Yet, risks she'd be more than willing to accept. For the rewards were worth it—or so, she’d imagined. Wanderlust and all that.
Eyes lifted to the skies; bright and pleasant, as if stamping approval upon her journey. The moment would be savoured, with an understanding such blessings gradually faded the further one ventured from Kumo. In the end, the traveler would be left to her own strengths.
A hand reached for its pocket, drawing the passport received through literal sweat and blood to present afore the guard on duty.

Since he was back in the village, Umashi decided that at least passing the time to do a gate watch was in order. Even an ANBU Captain couldn't get out of the basics of maintaining the village's security. Fortunately for him though, the upcoming face was one that he'd seen before, that woman from that gate incident with Miro. Still feeling just as much embarrassed for Miro as she no doubt felt for herself, Umashi made sure that his mask and ANBU gear was secure and then jumped from his perch down to greet the traveler. Easy in and easy out. Apparently the woman wasn't a dummy and instantly had her passport out for the guards to take hold of and verify. Walking up to grab it, he looked it over and made a mental check to make sure that the credentials checked out with the current version of passport approvals. A short two minute process and all was well. Getting the signal for her documentation being legitimate, Umashi handed the passport back over to the woman and allowed her on her way. "Carry on, ma'am. Enjoy your journey." Short, simple and to the point.

Weird as it may've sounded, Siu could've sworn the individual behind that mask seemed vaguely familiar. However, in truth, she'd come across so many new faces as of recently—more so during the red-tape dealings preceding departure, that’d it been a challenge to determine exactly from where. Rummaging through memory, eyes attempted to piece the familiarity with clear association, yet nothing quite came up: Without a doubt, ANBU proved exceptionally skilled at that whole identity-concealing thing.
Accepting back the passport, a pleased smile returned: Short, simple, and done—no silly questioning or pointless hassle. Just the way she liked. A polite nod acknowledged the male’s cordial wishes, and Siu’s boots would continue their way—stopping after a few steps.
Her figure turned; considering most people from ANBU likely were pretty well connected, in comparison to the larger Main Branch.

“If you see the old man and a fox sometime, mind passin’, hope everything goes well with the whole—” Siu cut completion following an intervening thought. While that event likely reached no few ears—and eyes—the Chuunin considered she’d very likely witnessed far more that day than the Sennin might’ve liked. May have been playing it overcautious—but better safe than sorry. Risking possible trouble just afore leaving didn’t seem like too good an idea.

“Eh, yea—just wish ‘em well.... Have a fine day! Gate duty sucks, I know.”

And with a wave, finally, the long awaited journey would begin.

Nodding to the woman, Umashi gave her the same salute that he had when he'd last seen her. Whether she realized it or not, she was in fact speaking to the very same old man. Allowing the woman to leave, Umashi quickly went back to his perch where he was able to wait for the next adventurer ready to start on another fun filled and exciting journey.
