Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Never go after your own. This rule resonated deeply in Arawe Zashi - he tended not to go after other vigilantes, but rather, dabbled in the killing of particularly slimy individuals. He sat with Michi, who he had found had a bit of a knack with finding the slimiest slimy individuals. "What about him?" Arawe Zashi looked at her with a puzzled expression, as if to say "why him?" She reached over and pointed at his face. He was a handsome man. That always meant trouble. Zashi began reading his story, and upon completing the task, stood up and reached for his rifle. "I shouldn't be surprised I never heard about this. I'll be back later."

"Okay," Michi sighed. "Just be back before tomorrow, okay?" Zashi nodded, slinging his rifle over his shoulder and, always dramatic, leapt out the window and into the night. He almost let himself get mad in front of her - how could they not tell him about this entry the second it became available? Did they think it would get personal? And even if that was the issue, that's what Shiba deserved. Something personal.

Apartment number 48. That was the listing they provided: the residency of one Miss Obata Ai. To Zashi's surprise, there was already a shinobi outside the apartme-- no. Zashi activated his sharingan and wildly flung himself at the man, who he presumed to be Shiba. The two went crashing into the floor, and Zashi assumed the position, preparing his hands to completely fry him into oblivion, when the man gave him a startled look.

"Arawe Zashi. Do what you will, I won't resist. Whatever you plan to do to me, I deserve, but I want to talk with Ai."

"Over my dead body, you damn monster!" Zashi rammed the butt of his rifle into Kojima's teeth, causing the man to let out a loud yell. He raised the butt of his rifle again, preparing to make another move. He had his opponent pinned, and he still had the element of surprise. He could make this man suffer, and he would have, if not for a quiet voice coming from the doorway. "... Shiba?"

Shiba's head immediately turned to see her: a beautiful woman with long black hair and gentle eyes. Zashi's expression softened at her presence; she reminded him of Michi. What would she think, to see him like this...? No, that didn't matter. What mattered was the mission.

"Shiba," she called again, tearing up. "Shiba, why?!"

He opened his mouth to speak, eyes full of remorse, only to quickly become engulfed in Zashi's inferno. He had taken him by surprise, giving him no opportunity to react. The fire from Zashi's jutsu quickly ate away at his skin, leaving behind the ash-ridden remains of what was once a human face, now hollow and bloodied. Ai let out a disgusted cry as she rushed to Zashi, pushing him off of the corpse of the man once called Kojima Shiba. "Why all this?!" She choked on her tears, shaking his body, as if to wake him from the afterlife. Zashi stood up, giving her a puzzled expression.

"Do you pity this scum? Even after all he did?" Zashi's voice was heavy, but still riddled with the adrenaline of his kill. This was what being a shinobi was about for Zashi. The kill. He wished he cared what this woman felt, but he couldn't bring himself to empathize with her. He was scum, and now he's dead, and Zashi had the honor of catalyzing that metamorphosis. "No, but... but he deserved to speak. He deserved justice. You... I've heard of you, Arawe, you just go around killing these people, but even they don't deserve that! They deserve to be brought to justice, not you!" She wiped the tears from her face. "This is just senseless killing! You're not a hero, Arawe, this is murder!"

Zashi gave several kicks to Shiba's head, dislodging his skull so that Zashi could bring it as evidence of the kill. "I'm a surgery, Miss Obata." He tucked the skull under his arm, looking at her in the face with his still red eyes. "I cut a piece of infected flesh off of the world. I removed a tumor, and I won't apologize. You wouldn't understand men like him, these disgusting little cockroaches. I am justice, and it's my pleasure to burn these insects out of their nests. So don't lecture me."

She looked up at him, eyes still full of sadness. "Arawe..." She looked down at the beheaded man on the floor. "You're a monster."

"Well." Zashi walked away as curious people stuck their heads out of their windows. "Maybe the world needs a monster right now."
