Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

As you can imagine, his journey had not been an easy one. The Mountain within the lighting country had proven themselves a fierce opponent, but Sairasu had finally made it to what he believed was the hidden cloud village. He wasn't really tired now, but that was simply due to the fact that he knew showing up to another villages gates looking rather dingy and beaten was a sign of weakness. Right now, he was in fresh clothing; a leather jacket, with a low cut tank top underneath, denim boot cut jeans and pig leather steel toed shows. In his mouth was, not one, but two lit cigars; and down at his waste, in his hand, was a clear jar of homemade alcohol. Next to it was a pouch containing home grown chewing tobacco. He stood at roughly six foot tall and weighed two hundred and thirty five pounds, with a muscular build. The look on his face was rather angry, and his stitched scar only seemed to throw in some form of an intimidation factor. His study with the dark arts had turned his dark hair white, as if it had siphoned the life right out of his hair follicles.

The gates were massive, but he wasn't really impressed by them. This place had been far too easy to find; it was nothing like the mythical forest surrounding the hidden mist. A person could get lost for years within the forest and yet, it only took him a matter of hours from the mountain side to get here. Though, to each their own; this place was rumored to have taken in some of his brethren, so he had some form of respect for it. Calling out towards the gates, he introduced himself and announced his reasoning for being here. ”My name is Taishou Sairasu, formerly a medical ninja with tenure of the Hidden Mist. I am searching for some of my fellow mist brethren.”<i></i> He called out, as loud as he possibly could. ”Rumor has it some of them have sought refuge here within this village. May I speak with them and those who welcomed them with open arms?”<i></i> He asked, hoping someone around here would come to him.

Then again, he figured it’d be an Anbu who sought him out, if any, so he didn't have many expectations. In his mind, Medical Ninja were still far more superior.

Re: They Say The Devil Was Born In Kumo [Requesting Entrance

It was looking like an average day at the gates, a few city civilians and shinobi, some farmers and the like from the outlying villages. Nothing out of the ordinary, that was for certain. Fuu was thankful for this, being of the more peaceful persuasion, and was happy to just stand atop the gates and bask in the sun. Despite his heavy black robes and thick, armored mask the ANBU was comfortable in the sun, the wind and fair temperatures facilitating his usual heavy attire. Sometimes he almost felt guilty sitting up here, getting paid to essentially people watch, but he often reminded himself of the inherent risk of taking gate duty. ‘Anybody could meander up to our gates.’ He mused, his eyes scanning the ground below ‘Or out of them.’

Just as his thoughts were turning to the recent happenings of his village, a red flag shot up in his mind and he snapped to attention. A large figure was trudging towards the gate, releasing puffs of smoke as it approached. From size and gait alone, Fuu quickly surmised this wasn’t another farmhand or merchant, causing his pulse to quicken and demeanor to shift. In a moment he had transformed from a relaxed, calm young man enjoying the weather to the battle hardened soldier his village expected him to be.

As the man drew closer, the ANBU inspected him carefully. He was tall and broad, but Fuu was tall himself and not impressed by stature alone. “Look at the way he’s peacocking,” he remarked under his breath, regardless of the fact nobody was around to hear him. “Men that act big, often aren’t.” Grimacing, he cleared his head of the optimistic thoughts and studied the man below, listening intently to what the man stranger shouted up. ”My name is Taishou Sairasu, formerly a medical ninja with tenure of the Hidden Mist. I am searching for some of my fellow mist brethren. Rumor has it some of them have sought refuge here within this village. May I speak with them and those who welcomed them with open arms?”

The ANBU couldn’t help but sigh. If he had it his way, the borders and gates would be shut to foreign shinobi, unless they were on a diplomatic mission. Outsiders brought nothing but turmoil, contributing little and sapping his village’s resources. He had heard horror stories of the Raikage being abducted and tortured, of foreign agents being permitted to learn their ancient dialects and customs, and some even marrying into Kumogakure blood. He distrusted them deeply, and so far had no reason not to. But alas, it wasn’t his place to judge, so his hand was forced.

Instead of simply turning the man away, as much as he would have liked to, Fuu stepped up to the edge of the gate and made himself apparent to the foreign man below. Raising one hand to the his earpiece, he spoke quietly into the microphone in his mask. “Doku reporting, we have another former Kiri nin at the gates. Advise.” With his other hand he rose his gloved index finger to the man below, the universal signal for ‘One moment.’

‘Damn foreigners, interrupting a peaceful day.’

Re: They Say The Devil Was Born In Kumo [Requesting Entrance

A call from the gates blared into his headset keeping Yuuto at a slight delay. A fellow Kumo nin had appeared at the gates ready to deal with a claiming Kirigakure-nin. The newly appointed Anbu made haste to the gates as well, hoping that he could help this come to a decision but truth be told it was a difficult one to make. However Hayata Shin was a trusting man who liked to believe the best in people and did not want to turn away the refugees. Albeit this is how security breaches happened but he knew Shin wouldn't allow one to be turned away on baseless suspicion it wasn't in the man's nature.

Yuuto made quick movements towards the gate. He was draped in the black Anbu robes, and a grey Kumogakuraian vest. The triple eyed mask rested on his face with his white hair hidden and tied in a ponytail secured behind the hood of his robes. Yuuto came to a halt when he reached the gates in time to find Doku and the supposed Kirigakure Shinobi. Upon approaching he could guess that the problem was uncertainty, whether or not he should allow the man to come into the village. It was good gate guards had stations at the very least they could take precautions and discuss with their visitor about their entrance. Yuuto would stare at the man before approaching Doku and begin to speak. "Greetings, I'm Zenku, what is the problem here?" After Doku gave his explanation, Yuuto would approach the former shinobi and speak to him as well.

"Hello there stranger, welcome to Kumogakure. Seeing as you were a former Shinobi do you have a passport to prove your identity?" That was normal in Gate Check ups , Passports were a necessity and without they could by right turn him away however with the destruction of Kirigakure it was possible he could have not had one. Someone from the village who was in Mist could clear him but theoretically should they trust anything from that village? Could Cloud become another target of war in a delusional struggle to take what was theirs? No he was thinking too much at this point. Regardless of the outcome Yuuto would invite the man to sit with him, at a nearby guard's table. They would have time to discuss while he entered the next phase of things.

"I'm going to call someone to the gates, we've had a mist ninja through here but I honestly don't know too much in regards to that. So let's see if we can get you someone out here to meet your request." He'd tap into his headset and begin to call out to any open shinobi. "This is Zenku at the Gates. If anyone has a lead to a Mist Shinobi please escort them to the Gates. We need assistance in verifying one of their own." Hopefully these processes would not put off the stranger they should understand that was the nature of security. Even while they were being nice they were intently focused on how to deal with any potential hostile threat. This man was large and looked formidable, the cautious Masaru was not going to let anything catch him by surprise.

Re: They Say The Devil Was Born In Kumo [Requesting Entrance

One man appeared rather quickly, though he never once came down from the top of the gates. Instead, he spoke over his ear piece to those within the village. It seemed that Kumo Anbu were much better trained than Mist, at least in protocol from the looks of things. Taking a deep breathe, he waited as another man seemed to approach him. He was rather calm and collected, as if he had plenty of experience doing this. He asked if he had a passport, and it did but it was from way back when, when he left the village for two months on vacation and camped out in the country side. ”I have a passport from when I went on vacation, but it’s been expired for some time now. A couple months back, there was a natural disaster within the hidden mist; majority of the water country was flash frozen. Most of our people died, while others sought refuge wherever they could. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough time for paper work. The last thing I remember was one of the Mizukage telling us half of our people were going to The Hidden Cloud and the other to The Hidden Sand. Now there's a hand full of us just serving as mercenaries and trying to find ways to revive The Hidden Mist.” He said as he bent down to place his mason jar on the ground, only to whip his bag over his shoulder and begin digging into it as he came back to eye level.

At the moment, honesty was the only thing he could give them. Rather they believed him or not didn't matter; proof was in the pudding. All they’d have to do was investigate the water country and they’d see exactly what he was talking about. But then again, if his brethren had sought refuge here, then perhaps they already knew the truth. Maybe they were just trying to give him a hard time. That was expected of Anbu anyway; in fact, it was sort of their job. Within a moment’s time, he had found his old passport. Pulling it out, he handed it to the man as swiftly as he possibly could. ”My studies with kinjutsu have caused my hair to lose its color and this scar across my face is newer than that passport, so of course there are a few minor difference in my appearance now than back then. Regardless, I’m just hoping one of the Mizukage happen to be around here somewhere.”<i></i> He told the man, as he waited for a response.

Re: They Say The Devil Was Born In Kumo [Requesting Entrance

The response was quick, as Fuu had figured it would be. In under a minute another ANBU had arrived, landing near the young man and announcing himself. "Greetings, I'm Zenku, what is the problem here?” Stepping closer to his fellow Mempo, he replied in a hushed town from behind his arachnid styled mask. “No problem, yet.” He said quietly, despite the large distance between them and the foreigner below. “This just seems to be a bit above my paygrade.”

Frowning, Fuu eyed the stranger below warily as his comrade dropped from their perch to speak with him. The other ANBU seemed accustomed in dealing with foreign agents, and the young man decided to refer to his comrade on how to proceed. For now he would stay above, watching and listening intently. From here, he could only make out scraps of what was being said, but it was enough to know what was going on. His eyes were what spoke the loudest truth anyway, body language and mannerisms often proving much more honest.

So far it was the usual routine, passport requests and pleasantries. This irked Fuu slightly, still fuming about the recent surge of refugees. Though he knew it wasn’t fair, the young man wanted to simply tell the man to leave and be done with it. Whether or not the stranger would comply peacefully was another thing, but the ANBU almost found himself wishing he wouldn’t. This was unusual for Fuu, his typical approach to people being a polite detachment. He just couldn’t help himself however, the seeds of distrust had been planted many years ago, and it seemed they were blooming into full blown contempt.

Yes, it would be best if he kept his distance. Fuu stayed on his perch above, motionless as a statue as he glared down at the stranger below. If nobody came to claim him within the next few minutes, he could possibly be turned away. It was nothing personal, really. It was just… extremely personal.

Re: They Say The Devil Was Born In Kumo [Requesting Entrance

There was a passport, first good sign of the evening. However it was old, but that could be overlooked due to the nature of the blizzard and how many it left homeless. He mentioned there was a marginal divide in villager's escape, Yuuto felt there was an obvious question hanging in there however he'd wait for Sairasu to finish speaking before commenting. It seemed that his hair and scar were the only real changes here, nothing that should keep this man from being exempt from entering Kumogakure, however he did not explicitly say he wanted entrance what he was seeking was former leadership and a way to revive their fallen village.

Hmm Sairasu, it seems things check on out on your passport in my eyes. Hmm Kinjutsu are a tricky form of practice no? I suppose Kirigakure must openly accept them, Kumogakure actually assists some in attaining a Kinjutsu properly. The science of the medical world is rather powerful. What abilities do you have?" It was a simple question, he wanted to know how this stranger matched up in a way, idle conversation. "I've taken the liberty of calling for any Kirigakure Nin to be brought here to the gates hopefully someone will come to speak to you. However I guess this runs with my next question. Was your goal to actually enter Kumo, or did you wish to only seek other Kiri-nin? Rebuilding your village... it's a noble ideal, but it will take effort and work. I'm sure if you were to say locate an old Mizukage and partner up with Kumogakure or other villages to assist. You'd need location, villagers, reasonable security and insurance.. a reason for people to come back." Yuuto would stop speaking for a moment to allow Sairasu time to digest his words.

"Do you have a plan for reviving your home? Would it still be your beloved Mist or fall under a new title? If Kumo was to ever fall I think I'd be in your exact position, trying my best to rebuild it. I think that's why I'm asking so many questions I'd like to understand more what you're trying to do here and how to go about it. However if you'd like to come into Kumogakure I'm sure that can be arranged long as you promise to keep peace and not disrupt our village. You seem to be cool headed so far, and have complied with my instructions properly." Yuuto was fishing for information but also seeking to understand Sairasu's major plan. Perhaps he could help the lost shinobi gather a clear idea if he didn't already have one.

OoO: Sorry to barge in just for an OoC comment, but I just noticed something. Sairasu, the last time you were active, you were actually already IN Kumogakure. (Link) Once inside, you only had an RP with Kushin that fizzled out into inactivity, but you were inside. Not sure if you forgot but I figured I'd point it out. I suppose you could void the old one out for the sake of this RP if you want to seeing as the other one inside was voided because of inactivity.

Re: They Say The Devil Was Born In Kumo [Requesting Entrance

”Hmmmm. His questions seem rather personal and out of the norm for the normal Anbu confrontation, though they seem sincere and unlike he’s just trying to be nosey.” He thought to himself, while he waited for the man to finish. The one he spotted earlier hadn’t yet approached them, though Sairasu figured the man never really would. Lurking from the shadows was an Anbu thing; actually, it was a shinobi thing really. ”Zenka, was it?” Making sure he heard the man right when he called out over his headset earlier. ”To be upfront, I am seeking entrance into the village as well. I figure it’d be a great opportunity for me to unwind, get away from the mercenary life for a short while and perhaps make some friends. If allowed in I would treat the village as if it were my own. Though, I also ask that if Cloud has any other shinobi come to the gates claiming they were from the Mist while I was here, please send them my way. I would love an opportunity to speak with them as well.”<i></i> He said, only before taking the two lit cigars from his mouth with his right hand.

”But to answer your other questions, about the only thing I can say for certain is that I possess the ability to resurrect the dead, though it is not true resurrection. Their corpses simply become my tools. Also, as for reviving the hidden mist, the first step is to amass a following and persuade another village to lend their support. Unfortunately, I do not believe I’ll be able to do either as I am now. In order to revive The Hidden Mist in all it's glory, I need to become the new Mizukage. Holding that position, much like holding the Raikage’s position, could inspire hopes into the heart of thousands.”<i></i> He said, while quickly flicking the lit end of both of his cigars. ”The New Hidden Mist would be a village built off Loyalty, Respect, and Honor. The main difference would be that the village would now be highly focused on military strength and operations. In fact, one of the main goals of the Anbu branch would be to eradicate any and all Missing ninja. Also, if another village aided in its revival, The Hidden Mist would forever be their loyal ally. As for the land for the new village, I have an idea.”<i></i> He told Zenka.

Sairasu already had a plan and he was willing to go to any lengths what so ever to accomplish this. Yeah, he had said a lot and ranted a little bit, but he spoke from his heart. Every single word that escaped his lips had every bit of his soul poured into it.

I appreciate your efforts Ayumu; that thread was inactive and I didn't remember where I left off so I just started in the outer zones. I'll just consider it void and continue with this thread for the sake of roleplay. Again, thank you though.

Re: They Say The Devil Was Born In Kumo [Requesting Entrance

His glare intensifying, Fuu fought hard to make out the words being said down below. From atop the gate, the wind and the noise of the village behind him disrupted his hearing, allowing him only segments of sentences. What he could hear however was enough to make his hair stand on end. “is that I possess the ability to resurrect the dead”-“ Their corpses simply become my tools.” It was enough to trigger an array of red flags in the ANBU’s head, having dealt with his share of dark practices. In his eyes such things were abominations, a slight against nature and whatever god responsible for creating that nature. Of late, it had become more common in Kumogakure for shinobi to employ the use of Kinjutsu, though what had caused this alarming trend was a mystery.

“I need to become the new Mizukage”- The man below said, seemingly at ease with the whole situation. The two were talking as comfortably as old friends, or so it seemed anyway. Of course his comrade below was entirely safe, here at the threshold of his village, but Fuu was on guard none the less. -“highly focused on military strength and operations.”- “another village aided in its revival, The Hidden Mist would forever be their loyal ally” Gritting his teeth, the ANBU fought the urge to leap down to the ground below, to look the big man dead in the eye and tell him just where he could stick his new village. “We’ll see how loyal you are.” He growled softly watching the men below banter, unaware of the motionless storm brewing above. “Taishou Sairasu, I’m your new shadow.”

If the man was permitted access, and it looked like he would be, Fuu would personally follow him for the entirety of his stay, or until he was proven trustworthy. ‘That will never happen,' he thought, feeling the vein in his temple throb with anger ‘So he’d better get used to being watched.’ The idea that a weapon from a foreign land could just walk into his village, the same village in which his family resided, and simply meander about unescorted was absurd. The fact that it had happened repeatedly, multiple times this month alone, was cause for outrage.

‘Damn that bloody Kirigakure. Damn that bloody Mist.’

[Nothing personal, I'm just bored.]

Re: They Say The Devil Was Born In Kumo [Requesting Entrance

"My name is Zenku actually." He'd say it still in a cheerful like tone. Sairasu, wanted to enter the village. This man wished to find a place to rest for a while until he got his next move figured out. He wanted a direct line to other Kirigakure shinobi to speak with them of his plans. At the very least Yuuto could do this, especially since he was with-holding information but Sairasu did not need to know that, not yet. His job as an Anbu meant he had to protect the village and letting in a mercenary to perform some hit job, was not going to be the right move. However this man seemed more honest than some who had come here previously, but there were so many refugees that he couldn't truly know them all. "Yes when I go back to my headquarters, I could take the time to look into our files and see if any mist shinobi have come here. We've taken in refugees but I have no idea who." Nobody had come yet, this was disappointing. Mister Sairasu would simply have to search on his own to find another Kirigakure ninja.

The mercenary began to mull over his techniques revealing he was able to use Necromancy. Yuuto couldn't say he was too thrilled about that, but seeing as Kinjutsu were an overly accepted practice he could bear no grudge towards the man. The next statement that came from him was one of how he wished to accomplish it. Sairasu believed that the only way to properly restore the Mist Village was if he was able to be it's Mizukage. He wanted loyalty and after recreating the Mist, he wanted to capture any defectors, but how could ones cast from their original home be defectors. Maybe this was a bad example for his overall goal seeing as Yuuto was sure some Kiri nin wouldn't just stay lost or give up, no they'd move on and join up with another village if Mercenary work didn't suit them. Being on the move, with no security did not sit well with some people. Others just had a family and needed to secure them. He wondered what would happen if people did not want to fall under his leadership as Mizukage. Would Sairasu attempt to take it by force or allow himself to step down.

"We've had problem with mercenaries lately. Whether or not they came from another village is an entirely different matter I haven't researched into. I heard one was killed at the gates for senseless murder. The easy thing would be to just turn around strangers, but you have a good air about you. Driven, determined, and ambitious to see your village revived. I truly hope you make the best of your opportunity." He would tap his headset and begin to speak to whoever was listening. "Allowing a Taishou Sairasu into the village. They wish to seek Kirigakure shinobi out. They're passport is from before the natural disaster in Kirigakure but they seem to be clean."

The village gates would begin to creak open, as the giant reinforced doors revealed Kumogakure. Yuuto himself would begin to leave the chair and walk towards the village. He'd look to Sairasu before leaving and say, "Welcome to Kumogakure, please enjoy your stay and keep your peace. Doku be safe, and you know my line." He had another task, something that had to be with-held until he figured out everything. Let's hope things wouldn't have gotten too far without him.

[Allowing Sairasu Entrance into the village, waiting to leave topic with everyone else]

Re: They Say The Devil Was Born In Kumo [Requesting Entrance

”Well then Zenka, perhaps sometime during my stay we should catch a few drinks and have a meeting of the minds. Might help you get to know me better as a foreigner within you're homeland and perhaps, build a friendship. It'll be on me..”<i></i> He smiled, as he gathered his things and flipped his bagged over his shoulder. ”But Honestly, during my Tenure as a Medical Shinobi I never once found an Anbu I could stand; you’re the first. It was nice to meet you either way.”<i></i> He said so in a kind, jokingly manor.

After saying that, the two cigars he flicked out were placed within holders on his jacket as he began to walk into the village. What awaited him inside? They seemed rather to comfortable with him entering, so of course he had to be on guard. As he watched the gates open, he casually began to walk into the village. The sights he could see from this moment were rather marvelous, and he was already impressed. As he walked past the Anbu, he raised his hand up over his head and made a salute like motion towards the sky. This was his way of saying good bye for now. "Cross walks and crossed hearts and hope-to-dies. Silver clouds with grey linings. So we can take the world back from the heart-attacked; One maniac at a time we will take it back. You know time crawls on when you're waiting for the song to start, so dance alone to the beat of your heart! Hey young blood, doesn't it feel like our time is running out? I'm gonna change you like a remix, then I'll raise you like a phoenix!"<i></i> He sang with each step.

Sairasu did this very often, not to make a scene, but to keep himself in a good mood. It wasn't because he was depressed or anything, but because his anger is legendary and not something he wanted to unleash upon The Hidden Cloud Village.

OOC: Fuu, it doesn't bother me at all. So long as you stick to IC, all is cool with me. But keep in mind that we ninja tend to notice things, even without trying. So don't be surprised if a stealth check is called.

Re: They Say The Devil Was Born In Kumo [Requesting Entrance

So it began. Fuu waited, not moving a muscle as the large man passed below him, tossing up a mock salute as he passed. At least, the ANBU figured it was mockery, having just heard the man in question speak ill of his branch. Of course it was the Kiri ANBU that had given the foreigner a bad impression, but Fuu decided there was probably a reason for it. ‘He probably had one too many run in’s with law.’ He thought, crossing to the other gate just in time to watch the stranger emerge below. The sight of the man striding confidently into his home nearly sent the ANBU into another rage, but he bit his cheek and glared in silence.

No, this wouldn’t be the last Sairasu would be seeing of him, not by a long shot. Indeed, the man would probably be noticing Fuu and his spider mask for the remainder of his stay, the ANBU had no intent to conceal himself. This was his village, these were his people and if the stranger made so much as a step in the wrong direction, there would be Fuu. Of course, the young man had no way of knowing just how capable a fighter the stranger was, but this wasn’t enough to deter him. ‘My life for my country.’

With practiced precision and speed, Fuu launched himself from the gate, catching his foot on an outcropping rock and flying onto the nearest building’s roof. For now he would follow from above, walking precariously close to edge of each roof, his eyes never leaving the imposing man below.

[I don’t even mind other villages, but Fuu does. So yea, no worries about this becoming some OoC thing. And feel free to spot Fuu whenever you want, he doesn’t care if Sairasu notices him or not.]
