Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Bagu watched the youth take care of his lack of sight, by capturing a flame. Bagu's eyes lit up, his scaly hands covered his beak and he chuckled aloud.

"Ooooooohhhhhzz. Gewdzz ideazz hoomans!"

That hissing from his long tongue could probably get annoying fast, but the lizard was trying. One of his hands fell to the hilt of his blade if he needed to provide support for the boy. But alas, his body was becoming so fatigued from a lack of protein, and his stamina was drained. The lizard began to jump and down, he saw something.

"Ooohhzz! Oohhzz! Hoomanzz!! Lookiez lookeiz!"

He would have been jumping up and down pointing to Mako's left at some centipede type creature stretching its long, many legged body to wrap around Mako. Mako could easily see and defend himself if he wanted to. But his casting flame would have attracted several of these crawly creatures to him, thus would have made it somewhat difficult to escape.

"Zee chamberz north! Northz westiez!!! Go hoomanz go!"

Still jumping up and down, but where did he get all this energy from? Maybe it was adrenaline rush from seeing the impending action. He hoped the kid could maneuver himself well while be so preoccupied. He crossed his scaly fingers.

[OOC: Sorry for the wait and short post, was getting caught up on the previous dialogue to see where to go with this. PM me if you find something you don't like, I'll try to complete this rather fast for you and hopefully make it fun on the last stretch.]

"Wuh-woh..."
A stifled cry of surprise emanated from between the boy's clenched teeth. His trusty torch was still firmly gripped between his chompers, and if Bagu hadn't given him a small heads-up he probably would've dropped it out of surprise. His reptilian friend's warning didn't make the sight of a gigantic centipede any less disgusting though. "Mm!" the youth's left foot came free of its foothold to kick at the large bug. But it was in vain. At this angle and while hanging onto a wall he couldn't quite get the leverage he needed to deliver a worthwhile attack. Unless...

Mako quickly returned his foot to the wall, steadying his grip once more. What he was about to do would be pretty risky...but then again when did he do anything that wasn't?! His jaw would tighten, ensuring that the lit torch remained in place throughout this ridiculous maneuver he was about to perform. For maybe the only time in his life the boy would demonstrate some degree of patience, allowing the centipede to inch closer and closer until it was all but upon him. But it would find no easy meal here. Just as the creature reared its ugly head, Mako would tighten his grip on his left handhold and swing his body around to the left side. "Tahyk dihs!" With all of the might he could muster the grime-covered boy would use the added momentum from his swing and send the back of his right fist splicing through the air towards the centipede's head (Falcon Backfist). It was an awkward little move but hopefully his unnatural strength would save the day once more. Whether or not his attack connected he would use the ensuing chaos to right himself once more on the wall and continue quickly on his way. Using some of that natural monkey-like dexterity he had he would attempt to speedily bound up the wall, heading (hopefully) towards the "northzwestiez" (Acrobatics). If only he had half the chakra control of any decent ninja...then he could just magic-walk up this wall and still fight! Really had to work on that one of these days.

Bagu was lucky he was funny or else Mako probably wouldn't be risking his life for food right now. Ah, who am I kidding? Of course he would be. He almost instantly took a liking to the little lizard guy. It appeared this was mutual, with the reptile even praising him for his "gewdzz ideazz". Imagine that! Mako...being praised for having a good idea. It was a miracle, really. Most people thought of him as nothing more than an empty-headed moron and overlooked his resourcefulness due to his silly antics. But he couldn't really blame them. He DID have quite the track record of doing foolish things. If his luck held out he would be on track to find this chamber and get Bagu and himself some grub! Just...hopefully not actual grubs this time.

[OOC; Not a problem! Appreciate you takin over.]

The centipede was just about to pounce on the youngling before getting a stiff kick that stifled the creature, it would wiggle. But it didn't stop it, slowly its creepy tiny big arms were reaching for him again. This time the boy performed rather nicely, in an acrobatic display back fist at the creature who would disperse into many smaller creepy crawlers upon contact. The Lizard watched the whole thing stoked and jumping around and his display of abilities. But the falling crawlies would leave Bagu with some work and so he drew his sword with speed. Mako would be free, for the time being to approach the door in any way he felt fit.

The crawlies fell down to ground level with slithering lisped lizard who's tongue hissed in the air. In a flurry of strikes which seemed like white and silver flashes of his swinging blade the crawlies had no chance and soon became to look like the grubs he was once eating. Bagu's beady little eyes darted left to right as if to make sure Mako didn't see this disgusting feat, but boy, he was sure hungry. He crouched at the knees and picked up some pieces of the centipede and tossed it down the hatch. Bagu chewed quickly, and his eyes lit up, tongue licking his lips. Bagu sheathed his sword, and grabbed a handful of the centipede grubs and followed after Mako. "Yummzz yummiezz!"

Once Mako would reach the large 15 by 15 foot door to the next corridor of the cave he would be accompanied by Bagu shortly after.

"Wellz hoomanz? Pushiez its openzz!"

Squelch! The youth's expression soured as the back of his fist made contact with the centipede. In a mass of disgusting wriggly flesh the creature amoeba-d off into multiple smaller bugs. Luckily they'd learned from their mistakes and chose to ignore the boy, falling sickeningly to the ground below. Baguītā was still down there being a ham...but he could take care of himself. Probably. After all he did have that sword with him!

"...."
Soon thereafter the rose-haired boy reached the summit of his climb. His agility helped greatly and he was able to scale the rest of the way without much trouble. Once he'd hoisted himself back up on flat ground he removed the torch from between his teeth, holding it in his right hand as his eyes glanced around. "Ragu was right." the boy thought aloud to himself, squinting his eyes. "It is dark up here." Even his burning torch could not entirely stave off the darkness. While Bagu was down there pigging out on bug remains, here he was stumbling around in the dark. Maybe that should be his new hobby? He sure seemed to be doing an awful lot of it lately...

He had only been walking for a few moments when he heard a familiar pitter-patter of claws approaching from behind. It was his little lizard friend! "Oh." the boy mused, his usual smile taking hold on his face. "You're not dead!" Before he began his ascent upwards into the unknown Bagu was making quite the show about being on death's doorstep because he was so hungry. A place Mako had been himself many times before. Not because he had actually come close to starving, mind you...but because his appetite could be considered a Wonder of the Shinobi World. It really was incredible. Anyway, he was glad his reptilian companion wasn't dead. Dying didn't seem like too much fun, and how the hell was he supposed to get out of here without him? Mako couldn't navigate himself out of a straight corridor, so he'd definitely need some help whenever he decided to return to the surface. But that'd be later! Now...a door? "Eh?" the youth arched an eyebrow as he stared at the large portal. This had to be it! With a little encouraging from Baguītā he nodded, took a few steps towards the door, and launched a kick that should either swing it open or completely blast it off of its hinges.

...unless it was made of something really hard. Then he might just hurt his foot.

Bagu hissed at his comment of not being dead and then giggled himself but that laugh was short lived. Mako had busted down the door with a kick, swinging the doors open with a loud crashing sound as it opened! Bagu jumped being startled and gasped in reaction, his long talons covering his scaly beak. He didn't think Mako would just bust it open, or maybe Bagu should have relayed some information on what was beyond the door.

"Geezus you foolz! This iz our exitzz, but you nowz!!! You wakiez everyone!"

As he proclaimed this, deep moaning and groaning, crashing sounds as mumbles could be heard growing into a rather loud distinct chatter. Bagu scurried up to Mako and yanked at his torso linens.

"Foolz! Lookiez! Theee lightiez at the topz!!! We must goooooz, but don't getz caughtzz, these creepiez evenz scarez Bagu!"

Straight: Head directly for the light. Easiest pathway, although encounter more battles. 50% Chance to encounter.

Right; Head right, encounter minimal fighting but a more difficult path to the top. 10% Chance to Slip, 20% chance to encounter, 35% chance to get caught in sticky web.

Regardless of Mako's choice, Bagu would elect for himself the most direct path, straight. He'd unsheathe his sword and prepare for battle, his long reptilian tongue spilling out his beak. He chuckled again, almost sounding maniacally. He gave it out what could be interpreted as a war cry with whoops and yells before he charged in sword risen.
Choose a path, whether you elect to go with Bagu or not does not effect your chances for pass/fail, although, electing to go with Bagu would help in combat. I'll roll these all off 100 sided die on discord.

"...wakiez?" So maybe he hadn't fully deciphered the lizard's speech pattern? Mako wasn't exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer after all. It seemed like he was grasping the over gist of what his reptilian friend was saying...but only just barely. Maybe his ears were clogged? Either way, the youth's eyes would face forward as Bagu tugged at his open shirt. A look of slight surprise overcame his face as he noted the light that the lizard was yammering on about. Was this actually their way out? Mako couldn't say he'd be disappointed if it was. Sure stumbling around in the dark surrounded by man-eating creatures was fun, but it had since lost it charm. Plus he was starving. Getting back to Suna sounded like the best idea he'd ever had at this moment.

Decision: ...Straight!

C'mon. Did you really expect anything else? Not only was the rose-headed fool straightforward in everything that he did, he was also impatient as all hell. He didn't like to dance around problems or conversations. He said whatever came to his mind. He lived and would likely die by his whims. Mako was a brash, naive, ill-mannered, foolish young man...and he wouldn't have it any other way! Bagu drew his saber and yelped, running headlong into danger like a madman. Madlizard? Whatever. "Ahahaha!~" the boy couldn't help but laugh at his little friend's display, obviously entertained by such a show. This guy had some big gizzards on him. He was starting to like Bagu more and more by the second! Even if he did call him a fool a few times. It was the truth...so even if he wasn't so dense and actually took exception to the insult, he couldn't exactly blame him. But boy oh boy was he dense. Like a star.

A fist pump followed the boy regaining his composure. "Yosh!" his eyes narrowed slightly as he exclaimed his determination. Bagu wouldn't have to brave the dangers of the corridor by himself...he'd have a questionably strong pink-haired airhead fighting beside him the entire way! Without any hesitation the youth charged forward behind Baguītā, giving his own excited war cry as his straw sandals clacked manically against the stone due to his running. A sword-wielding lizard and a brawler with no regard for his own safety or well-being...

What a pair!

You rolled a 96, you encounter 0 enemies this post, proceed 1/4 of the way up.

Baby lead the charge with many solider minions such as Minotaurs, Giant centipedes, wolves or dingos, it was too dark to tell in here this lousy chamber. Bagu would have been seen flailing his sword, luckily deflecting the would be attempts to snatch him into the mosh pit of enemies.

He lead the way with a cackling laugh and snorts surprised he wasn't caught by the huge monsters in the shadow. When Mako followed he would have dealt with the same. But to no avail, neither one of them were captured and had to deal with a fight.

They would both progress up the stairs reaching a fourth of the way up before reaching a flat platform that lead to another flight of the stairs. Bagu heaved to catch his breath.

"Onward hoomanz... We, We must notz fallz behindz!"

Bagu then sprinted to the next set of stairs, shaking his head left to right wildly with another war cry to echo against the large walls of the room, it sounding almost hysterical but comic at the same time.
Three more rolls/posts until the exit.

Clack, clack, clack, clack. Footsteps echoed throughout the corridor along with the distinct pitter-patter of the lizard's claws. Orange light danced about as Mako waved his torch in front of him, using the flame to ward off any potential beasties. And boy were there a bunch of them! All sorts of huffs, puffs, hisses, and snarls were cast their way as the duo charged through the chamber. Some of the flickering light managed to catch a few of the monsters lurking in the dark, revealing their terrifying visage to the frantic duo. But Bagu had the courage of one thousand lizards! And Mako...well he was just too dumb to be afraid. Not to mention that he loved a good fight! He could only hope that if it did come down to a scrap, that his opponent would be just a bit tougher than that scorpion or centipede. Those guys went out like chumps!

Luckily, it seemed like they weren't going to be devoured this day. Not yet, anyhow. Eventually after a bit of running they came to a flight of stairs which they hastily bounded up. Their surprise waiting for them at the top? More stairs. "How far is this thing?" the boy asked, staring at his scaly out-of-breath comrade. Bagu had to get his cardio up! Say what you will about his simpleness, the kid could run like no other. He was barely even breaking a sweat here. But...I suppose that's what happens when you're subjected to hellish life-or-death training from a young age. Sure he had war flashbacks of his grandfather clocking him over the head with his huge fists, but at least he could sprint for extended periods of time! Totally makes up for it...

...right?

Baguītā soon managed to catch his breath and declared the start of their jog once again. "Right!" confirmation came and without wasting any more time, the two were off once again! Mako's lizard companion resumed his war cry with renewed vigor, even careening his head from side to side for maximum uh...'warcry-ness'. Whatever he was doing it was working because they hadn't been eaten yet. Though that could've just been the sword he was flailing about as he ran. Or the heat from the torch. Or purely dumb luck. Y'know, either one! Hopefully he could keep it up and they would get through this gauntlet of beasts without much issue. But if they didn't you wouldn't see Mako complaining any. He needed the practice anyway.

You rolled an 86. No encounter

Baguita charged in like a bad out of hell, well, to him he was in hell and bad enough trapped in here with a bunch of creepiez trying to eat him. His war cry rang throughout the old hollow halls, to his dismay to awaken a large and massive behemoth with a snort that caused a sweeping gale across the chamber. Bagu paused and braced himself screaming out in response. He gasped, looked back at Mako and began to high tail it even faster. "Hoomanz! Getz a movez on itzz!!" Bagu kept charging and a rather large arm from the crowd of creepiez reached out grab him, but Bagu swiftly reacted with a spin and swing of his lizsword rapier and sliced the arm clean off. It fell to the floor bleeding and twitching. Bagu chuckled aloud

However far Mako was away from he couldn't tell. But both of them could notice a sweeping wave or creepiez all yelling for their own leaves being swept up by a giant swinging tail of the awakening behemoth. This wave of creepies fell right over head of the two and they could seen a scaly, horned tail flying across the room and then slamming hard at rest against one of the cave walls. This result cause some fragments of cave spikes to fall, if Mako didn't dodge as good as before he could easily get impaled and become mince meat. Bagu shrieked and added.

"Heyz! Letz makez likez a snake tonguez and splitzies!"

Bagu charged now that they're opening was slightly bigger now. Was this behemoth, friend or foe? Who knows? The pathway was clear, Bagu took advantage, still hungry for a whole platter full of grubs. Plus, he himself had enough this cave, he wasn't too fond of it. Mako could hear Baguita snicker as he would be seen darting off again up the stairs, appearing to more than half way now.
Got the okay to finish, so after this, i will post an exit to make the thread 3 pages long, please post an exit after, and im sure one of the upper cmods will notify you of the good news! Sorry for the delay!

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" a familiar cry sounded out as Mako picked up the pace. Boy had this come full circle...

Was he really scared? No. Actually this was the most fun he'd had in a while. But hey, comic relief is comic for a reason! The rose-haired youth was tailing close behind his scaly friend, who continued to lead their desperate charge to freedom with blade in hand. A sudden gust of wind startled the duo, but didn't slow down their run all that much. Mostly because if they slowed down they'd probably be ripped to shreds and eaten by a horde of monsters. Bagu got to show that his sword wasn't just for show when a large arm reached out to grab him. A quick glint of steel later and the massive limb crashed into the ground, severed at the elbow. Mako let out a slight, "Hup!" as he hopped over the still-wriggling arm, a look of awe on his face. Looks like Baguītā wasn't just a whiny melodramatic troublemaker after all!

Pandemonium ensued as the two kept on running. Apparently there was some in-fighting among the monsters as shrieks and hisses filled the room and some of the creatures were sent flying over the duo's heads. But there was no time to stop and admire the carnage. If they didn't get out of here soon, they'd likely be next! Mako witnessed a colossal scaly tail crash into a wall, shaking the entire chamber and almost causing him to trip. Oh! And it also shook loose some jagged stalactites. Fun times. "Woah!" he shouted as he shifted momentum and jumped backwards, one of the large rocks piercing the cavern floor about an inch in front of him. Unfortunately he wasn't out of the clear yet...but this is exactly the kind of situation that proved his Sense was invaluable (Sixth Sense). Pings of incoming danger blinked in the back of his head, helping to guide his erratic zig-zagging of the falling rocks. Only the forces above knew if he would come out with all limbs attached.

Whatever that thing was that was wreaking havoc actually ended up helping them. It was knocking the rest of the beasties senseless and creating a gap for the fearless duo to escape. Mako lowered his head, leaned forward as much as possible into his run, and began to pump his free arm with more vigor than ever before. He was kicking this sprint into overdrive! Sure he did have a particular speed-enhancing technique that might come in handy here...but what fun would that be? Plus he didn't want to leave Bagu behind...because he still owed him food from the antlion thing! "Hehe...~" the boy chuckled at the snake tongue quip. Jokes were fun and all but hopefully that rampaging behemoth kept on attacking other monsters and not them. Anything that could cause as much carnage as it was causing currently HAD to be a tough cookie. Hopefully? They wouldn't have to find out anytime soon...

[OOC: Sounds good! You've been speedy as all hell Shouyu I appreciate it fam.]

Baguita charged up the stairway with an almost refresh vitality regardless of the fact that he was out of breath. If they could make it out alive he could have the chance to explain the severity of the situation. His war cry rattled the room and any impending creepiez were swept away by the oversize tail that Bagu had constantly time a nice hurdle over it. He was still waving that sabre around in a circle. The fool didn't know that this was the resting chamber over the Lizard Overlord, and he never liked being woken up. Oh, especially not like this with some wild youth busting his old and tattered doors almost off the hinges. An awakening like that would sure make someone feel threatened, he had to get Mako out as soon as possible and speak with the overlord a next time.

All of these thoughts running in his head at the same tempo of the quick pitter patter of his tiny scurrying feet. His legs seemed to move lightning fast, though, being so small with short legs it didn't make up the distance and what seemed fast, wasn't really fast at all. He had moderate speed, and if not for the luck of this cascading tail of the overlord he'd be doomed in combat. Well, not really, Mako was a good help until now. Bagu could definitely see himself being good friends with the young lad, which is why he chose to lead the way with a sway of his blade. His acrobatic movements evading the tail and creepiez consisted of sliding, dodge rolling, a flip here and there, a side step and swipe of his sword cutting off the hand of a reacher!

"Nuuu nuu nuuu Weeez will notz beeez defeatedzZZ!!"

Bagu stopped in his tracks and held his sabre high above his head that he tilted back giving out a savage war cry as they reached the top. Bagu jumped and high kicked the door, much like Mako did earlier, revealing a huge sand box, or so it looked like out here. But they would be free of the chamber, the doors Baguita would close quickly behind Mako. After he'd rub his scaly hands together dusting them off, and himself. He reached at his waist and revealed a scroll that he unrolled and pricked his finger. It read some strange inscriptions but, if Mako could deduct, this was a deal about to be signed. And Bagu signed his part in blood, leaving a space next for Mako to follow suit if he would.

"Bestest of friendzz for lifez hoomanz."

Bagu would say that rather soflty to Mako, and after he would sign, Bagu would put a balled fist up for him to bump. After Bagu would snicker loudly and run off into the sand. His laugh even echoed out here before he vanished a vapor of white smoke that evaporated and faded into thin air within seconds. Bagu was gone now.

[Topic Left. Sorry for the late reply, busy weekend.]
