Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

While she had was beginning to develop a new telnet of her own. Megumi had come across some other more useful abilities along the way. Name a rather interesting ability that she dubbed her Acoustic Strings. Sitting a top of the Hokage's Mansion, to most it would look like someone simply taking in the sights of the village. To a more observant eye, one would see tiny blue strings hanging all around the mansion as if it was encased in a glowing blue web. The threads would dance as they caught sound from across the entire village, whispering what they had heard back to their owner.

Focusing hard on the voice of the village, it was overwhelming for Megumi as she sifted through all of the collective voices of the village. Trying to slow the wave of sound to her mind as she scared through all of the voices to find anything that could be a threat to the leaf. Hearing families and lovers talk about their plans and futures. To ninja and friends sharing their exploits. Trying to hold her focus as all of the voice began to overflow and rush into her mind, it quickly became too much for her to handle. Dispersing her web, she fell to the floor breathing heavily as she clutched her head from the pain of all of that information flowing into her at once. Her head felt as if it was about to burst.

As the pain subsided, so thought about who she might of bit off more than she could chew. She should've practised her jutsu more thoroughly before speaking with the higher ups and offering her service to them to get a recommendation towards her goal of being in the intelligence division. Dragging herself back up and refocusing her mind, she could not fail to bring anything back from her search. She had to make a good impression to show that she was worth considering for the division and she could not let her clan down.

Setting back up and cutting the threads down by half, she would make routine changes as she searched for any kind of info that may be harmful to the leaf. Catching laughter, cries and yells from all around the village’s residential area. She would change over to another part of a village. Bring her search towards the Red Oak District. Listening in on the sounds of clinking glass and chopsticks transporting their cargo to their destination. Megumi would be sure to tone her jutsu down to ignore the gross sounds of the human anatomy. Not getting anything of note out of the servers listing off their menus and specials that only made her steakout wishing it involved more steak. Hearing ninja planning out their next mission and celebrating their training and completion of their latest mission, was not interesting to the young girl.

Wrapping her web around the Hokage Rock, she was sure to find some more private conversations a top the founders of her village. She was looking for private, but not in the sense she has hearing. Her cheeks would go flush with colour as she heard the sounds of lovers meeting. Quickly bringing her attention away from the rock, she would be sure not to wander through it in the later hours.

Almost losing her focus from the close relations from the couples of the Hokage Rock. Megumi would focus her string towards White Oak Street and pleas with the gods above, for the street and springs not to be filled with passion. Staying away from the springs and the more scenic areas of the streets to avoid another close encounter with the birds and the bees. Megumi would stick the many workshops that continued to work their forges and craft into the late hour. Aside from the sound of metal upon metal and the scraping of fresh leather, it was as quiet as a mouse.

Focusing and enhancing her string and even reluctantly adding more, Megumi would encase the area in her web. Looking for any sounds or hints of speech Megumi would narrow in on one forge in particular. She could only hear the sounds, and she would have to follow her strings to get a visible lock and a name on the location.

“ Oy Takayuki, where are the packages we requested”? What sounds like items being knocked over and a table being smashed echoed from the area. “ Please stop i need more time, i am only one man, and the weapons that you requested are intricate and require time”. Hearing a the sound of flesh smacking against flesh followed bad a loud thump, the aggressors would continue. “ The fuck do you think you are!? We are the reason you can put a roof and food on the table for your family! We can go elsewhere you're not the only smith in the village, we only picked you out of the goodness of our hearts”. By the sounds of it she could make out a few others besides the two. “ Yes, Yes i know please just give me more time”. Hearing the man that was knocked down shuffle towards the other man, Megumi would keep her focus on what the man’s desperation has lead him into. “ Alight, because the claws of the scorpion only holds those about to be embraced by the stinger. We will give you one week, i don’t have to tell you what happens to you and your family after the week has ended and you fail us again”. “ I won’t i will have your package at the end of the week just please don’t hurt my Family”!

Tears could be heard off of the man, and Megumi had heard all she would need. Following her string and getting to the tops of the buildings. Megumi would peer down and look at the group visiting the establishment. Even in the dim lit streets Megumi could make out the group's faces and builds. One of them had to be a least six feet tall bald and had a large black scorpion tattooed on the right side of his neck that went just up below his right eye. The other two did not have a similar tattoo, but one of them had black hair running down the sides of his face and dead cold golden eyes. He was taller but more lanky than the pervious man and wore grey slacks and a vest with a white dress shirt. The last man was a mix of the to her wore black slacks with a matching tea, his black hair had a mix of red in it in the shape of a scorpion. These men stood out from the rest of the village and in the day would get picked out from the crowd.

Keeping to the shadows, Megumi would wait for the men to leave the area before checking out the smith that they are strong arming. Jumping down and looking at the Kanji across the plain wood board, Takayuki and Sons. Well the name seemed plain and friendly enough, she did not really know the Takayukis which was a surprise as she knew most of the tradesmen and women of the village. Taking the name of the shop down in her report, she would not enter to gain anymore information as the man is clearly under their thumb out of necessity. She could not risk him tipping off those men or risking his family by knowly getting involved. If he has not gone to the village about this already it means they have his claws in him.

Moving back up to the roof tops, staying out of sight and out of mind. Megumi would spread out her web and continue her long night of service to her village. She did feel bad for the man, as it could've been her and her family under the thumb if those men, but in the shinobi world your personal feelings are worthless.
