Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Seaside Paradise. That's what they called this place. It was one of the few places in all of Wind Country that grew lavish plants and was full of life. The sand was pure white and the water clear as glass. Still, it was such a gimmicky tourist attraction that it made it incredibly difficult for locals to actually enjoy it for themselves. Which lead one to question why Kasen was here in the first place. She had her own private beach, with beachfront property. Well...I mean it was mostly private because it was in the middle of nowhere miles from Sora and there were only a handful of palm trees scattered around her home. So, if she indeed had those things, why would she want to be in a place full of people that didn't seem to respect the land, the ocean, or the locals in the area? It was one simple thing. She didn't think anyone would come looking for her here. Truth be told, the newly appointed Medical Chief was starting to feel some slight wear and tear on her between the wedding planning, the title she had been granted, slight tensions with Kaen, the hospital, and trying to clean up all the mess that the Unbent had wreaked on the village.

The blue haired woman walked along the shoreline, passing many families on vacation with their small children. In the distance she could see lines of hotels and restaurants starting to fill up for the lunch rush. The blue haired woman was wearing a simple attire, one that felt both comfortable and allowed her to blend in with others present. She wore a light blue bikini, the bottom half covered by a cloth skirt with a hibiscus flower pattern in various pastel shades. She wore comfortable sandals that matched the color of her swimsuit, and a large straw sunhat that protected her from the sun. Over her shoulder was a bag that carried a towel, some sunscreen, sunglasses, and various other assortments of things that one may take with them should they want to spend the afternoon at the beach. She couldn't remember the last time she had just taken some time to relax. Things had become hectic so fast, it was hard to manage. One simply was required to push through.

The young doctor continued onward, walking through some of the thick foliage until she found a slightly more private strip of the beach. It was likely that many people just preferred to be closer to the buildings and not deal with the local plant life, but either way she enjoyed being close enough to still hear the noise of people without needing to interact with or bother them too much. She sat her bag down and started to unpack her towel, and spread it out on the ground. Her towel was made of a blue gradient and had little gray cartoon style sharks all over it. Sometimes I think you're too much of a cliche, but I do appreciate the one that looks like me. Kasen laughed as she looked at the rather big shark in the middle of the towel that seemed to dwarf the other ones. After pulling out a small umbrella, Kasen buried the handle deep in the sand and took out her sunscreen and lathered it on. She didn't really need it, but sometimes it was nice to have a routine that made you feel more relaxed. Pulling out her sunglasses, Kasen placed them gently over her eyes. Are you going to let me go for a swim and enjoy the day, as well? Or shall I keep you company here? A small frown overtook Kasen. "Mmm, any other time I would absolutely agree. However, this isn't quite like at home. There are a lot of people out in the waters playing, surfing, boating. I know you wouldn't do anything, but I don't want to scare anyone, nor would I want you to get hurt. But, we can enjoy each other's company. Right?" Kasen could feel Same's disappointment. She hadn't had a body in so long, that any chance she got to utilize it was something that brought her incredibly joy. Still, the large shark was able to understand Kasen's logic, even if it was quite a bitter pill to swallow. You are right. Let us try to make the most of it. Kasen nodded and laid down on the towel, the warmth of the sun shining down on her. She sighed and closed her eyes and could feel herself starting to drift off a bit to the calming sounds of the waves. Yes, this was some well needed time and relaxation.

Being a woman of stature within a shinobi village had many perks. Your name passed easily and often between lips, resources were abundant and standing at the top of your profession was a satisfying accomplishment. However, forevery perk there came consequences. Responsibility lay the heaviest upon those, and the chance to find a moment of even the briefest respite was elusive. Finally she had managed to find hers, hiding almost within plain sight, far away from the walls of the village, without a care in the world. No one knew her name here, expected anything of her and only wanted her attention to sell her some bauble, trinket or delicacy.

One moment Kasen was able to enjoy the relaxing sounds of distant conversation, the warm touch of the sun through her umbrella and the gentle caress of the salted sea air. Within the next moment the sun was blotted out by a mountainous looming silhouette and words she likely had not hoped to hear for at least for a few days rumbled from behind a wooden mask. “Shinku Kasen.” Spoke a slightly muffled voice from overhead. It was not a voice she recognized, but the man’s figure along left scant possibilities for where he had come from.

Clapsed within his thick gloved hand was a relatively small wrapped scroll, the seal of the Ouishi-Ouja clan pressed into wax holding it shut. “The Storm Lord requests your presence within The Eye of the Storm immediately.” He held out the rolled scroll for her to take. His hand was nearly twice as large as her own, and the scroll seemed completely normal once it was out of the giant’s hands. He stood there, his hands behind his back respectfully as he stared straight ahead, the guise of an ox painted on the front of his ANBU mask.

Within the scroll were slightly more details, though most of them were elaborate fluff. It seemed that the patriarch of the Oushi-Ouja clan requested her presence within his meeting chambers at the Oushi-Ouja compound. The details were scarce, but it had something to do with her position at the hospital, and the scroll also bore the signature and stamp of the hospital’s administrator, and so there must be something beyond the mere whims of one of the modest clans of Sunagakure.

Whenever she would finish looking at the scroll, the man would give her a shallow bur respectful bow. “Do you wish for me to escort you back to the village?” The offer did not sound entirely optional as he stood back up to his full height, the ogre’s face hidden behind his mask. Wrapped head to toe in blacks and armor, the man must be dying after having traveled through the desert all this way to delivery the message, but he did not appear to be bothered by it, as much as one could tell through his uniform.

The sun had just started to warm her skin and she was beginning to drift off into a somewhat deep sleep when suddenly the vibrant sunshine dissipated, only to be replaced with a dark shadow. Kasen's nose crinkled slightly at the mild disturbance. Was a cloud passing overhead? It was Wind Country though, so likely it would be gone soon. The blue haired woman need only to remain patient and she would surely be returned to her relaxing afternoon.

However, unbeknownst to Kasen, as she had yet to open her eyes, there was a figure present that was the source of the shadow that had been cast. She nearly jumped out of her skin when she heard her names fall from the lips of someone with a masculine voice. A startled noise left her throat as she rolled over and scrambled to her feet. She grasped the handle of the umbrella she had brought with her and pointed it towards the man. She hadn't really planned on anyone knowing she was here, let alone who she was. Why would she have a need to bring a weapon with her? However, the lack of retaliation from the other figure eased her into relaxing a bit, but she still remained on guard. It could have been one of Father's lackeys again. "Yes, you've found me. Now what do you want?" Kasen paused, her breathing calming down with each passing moment.

A small scroll had been extended towards her. She looked down at it with some perplexity. Had she seen that family seal before? She couldn't quite recall, but she had a fairly decent grasp on many of the clans that resided within Wind Country at this point. The man mentioned someone by the title of The Storm Lord. She definitely had not heard of him, but she knew only slight bits of information here and there about the actual figure heads that were apart of the clans, merely their history. Kasen gently reached her hand out to take the scroll, allowing it to roll open with ease. It appeared that the document was drafted up fairly recently. Her eyes drifted across the page, reading the request of her summons for her medical expertise as well as a location of where and who she should report to. The administration of the hospital had even formally assigned her to this task, despite it being first news to her. That was interesting indeed.

Finished with her perusal, she hesitantly looked back up to the man that seemed to be twice her size. A light sigh fell from her lips. Kasen turned and began to collect her things. The towel, the umbrella, and many other essential items she had brought to relax for the day. Seems that was all about to change as she would soon find her hands full. Slinging her bag over her shoulder, Kasen gestured towards town. "I guess it was too good to be true anyway. I just need to stop off at my home nearby and grab some things if I'm going to be performing medicine in an official capacity. Unless the Storm Lord wants a show too." Kasen gestured to her bikini. "And I'm not likely to oblige in that regard. So, shall we get this show on the road?" With that, Kasen began heading back towards the direction of her home. She would surely meet up with this Storm Lord eventually.
