Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The distance from his office to the office of Titan was not too far but it felt long enough as Shin was drowned with his own thoughts. "You seem to be overwhelm with your thoughts, Father." A male voice spoke within the aether. Shin turned his head as he discovered a shrouded figure walking beside him. "You must have known about what Titan has been planning." Shin responded. They walked in silence for a while as they walked across the wet road and behind them trailed their marked steps. Shin could tell they were close to their destination as he could see the towering red Titan flag fluttered on the roof tops.

Shin stopped for a moment as he turned around to face his shrouded companion. "Do you have any knowledge?" Shin said.

"I am sorry. I do not know. I only came here to warn you there is some very strange chakra in the midst of that building." Deta responded.

"I see." Shin muttered to himself. "For now I leave you be let me know if you need me." He replied as he disappeared before him.

Eventually, Shin had reached the steps of the building. The buildings itself was rather normal and mediocre. It looked out of place compared to the rest of the culturally enriched buildings surrounding it. The windows surrounded the building were tinted blacks making the entire building look more conservative. "What exactly could they be hiding in such a small facility." Shin thought to himself.

He noticed a black box resting on the side of post on his right side. Apparently, it was a some sort of intercom as he could the rippled holes extended inward like one of those hunky stereo. At the bottom was a bright red calligraphy embossed in red, it said assistant. He pressed it with the contraption responding with a loud honking sound.

Shin paused for a moment anticipating whether or not someone was at the other end. "This is the eighth raikage, Hayata Shin. I am here to seek an audience with your administration."

For a moment there was no response, but the sound of the camera focusing above his head could be heard. Seconds later, some static from the intercom and then a voice. "Welcome Hayata Shin. We were not expecting you today. Normally an appointment is required, but for you we will make an exception." responded the feminine voice.

With a loud, cacophonous 'ERRRR' the lock of the front door released and Shin would be able to let himself inside. As soon as he entered he would find the woman who let him in on his left hand side. "Please take a seat there, I've already paged someone to come and meet with you." she concluded and then turned around in her chair to continue filling some folders.

It was quiet for the most part. Every so often Shin could hear a telephone ring from behind one of the office doors visible to him. After one of the calls, a door would open and a average looking clerk would walk across the hall to another office, prop that door open and speak some business jargon with their associate and then quickly head back to their own office. Aside from that, nothing too strange while he was waiting.

However, at one point, a mechanical sound appeared to come from the door at the end of the hall, the vision obscured by the corner near where Shin would have sat if he decided to. But the sound soon ended and the door opened, only to be quickly shut behind the man who walked through.

"Good day Shin-sama." said Hato quickly, his bow proper in form. His movements seem hurried, as he quickly sat down beside the Raikage, on the couch next to the one Shin was on. "You grace us with your presence! What can I do for you today?"

The intercom was brought to life by a young woman's voice. She authorized Shin passage into the village as the black gates creaked open by her command. Shin walked through the smooth marble road and surrounding the roads were nice pristine trees. The entire lawn and everything around it felt rather so real as if it didn't really belong in Kumogakure. This was not to say that the village did not keep its place clean, but rather the archaic and ancient architecture of the village could be improved. HIs path led him to small flight of stairs up toward a set of double doors. He could see a young boy sweeping the white steps. The boy took a quick glance at Shin and before the raikage could give a friendly response; the boy darted his eyes away with such trepidation. The only reaction that Shin could give with somber sadness not knowing what had come over the young boy.

Shin sighed as he quietly opened the door. As he entered the door, he was welcomed by the calm air conditioner and the smell of ammonia. The place was rather serene to say the least with the melodic music from the intercom. He was visited by the woman who spoke to him before sitting behind a desk. She wearing a simple black and white suit with a white blouse. "Please take a seat there, I've already paged someone to come and meet with you."

Shin nodded as he sat on the dark gray couches. He reached into his coat and pulled out a quill pen and black notebook. As he waited Shin spent his time scribbling notes taking moments to observer around his surroundings. Before he knew it a man wearing a leather black cloak with a collar that plucked upward like peeled banana. On top of his head was silvery hair that masked most of his face except his one sharp gray eyes looked back at him. His skin was rather pale contrast Shin's darker skin. It would not surprise Shin if this man never worked like the common man.

"Good day Shin-sama." He said as he venerated himself giving the proper bow. His movements seem hurried, as he quickly sat down beside the Raikage, on the couch next to the one Shin was on. "You grace us with your presence! What can I do for you today?"

Shin calmly returned his items into his cloak and pressed his tinted glasses up to his face to get a better look at the man. "And you are sir?" Shin inquired curious as to the man's hasten introduction.

Once the man revealed himself to Shin. Shin took not time to explain himself. "I am sure you know why I am here. Your associates have alleviated a large piece of land on the country side and have been accused of various nefarious acts against the village. I would rather elaborate further in private." Shin said as he lower his voice at the end and glancing back at the preoccupied receptionist.

"Ah forgive me!" smiled Hato in an embarrassing manner. "Please just refer to me as Hato, if you will."

Once introduced, the Raikage got down to business! His tone was accusatory to begin with. Not the best way to start a friendly meeting. Shin believed Hato to know exactly why he was there, when that could be farther from the truth. There were no mind readers at Titan after all.

But soon it was revealed the business that the Raikage came to speak of, and this elicited a smile from the silver haired man. He was speaking on matters that he had no business inquiring of, at least when it came to the former. When Shin finished, requesting some privacy, Hato too looked at the receptionist with a sly grin. She looked away quickly with a blush, no doubt eavesdropping.

"The moment you stepped through the door, you entered a secure area. You needn't worry about her, we can continue here just fine." he began. Hato cleared his throat for what came next. "As far as I know, no legal action has been taken against our corporation by the village in any way shape or form, so I know not what accusations you speak of. As for what happened on our property in Southern Lightning, what is it that concerns you about it?"

Shin was more concerned about the people who may enter the lobby then the lonely receptionist; regardless it could not be helped. If Shin continue to pester the man for sanctuary they would not get anywhere. "Very well, Hato-san." Shin responded.

"In regards to your real estate, it is rather abnormal for a piece of land to be elevated to the point where seismic activities can be measured and reached across the countryside. What exactly does a non-military organization need participate in such geographic altering? In addition, Titan has mentioned in every conversation associated with a man named Hoshikata, who claims that you are the cause of his motivation to create chaos in this village. I don't believe merely on heresy but there are concrete evidence linking a crime to Titan." Shin said as he calmly reached for his coat. He pulled out parchment sealed by a black stamped emblem. He handed the parchment to him. "This a report by the ANBU sennin discussing about a woman who mysteriously disappeared after dropping grenades around the village. It was the same time in which Hoshikata kidnapped and brainwashed one of my own men. The connections are too much of coincidence."

[Sorry it took so long]

Hato patiently waited for him to finished, taking mental notes on what he had said. His expressions throughout Shin's small bout of speech ranged from concession to confusion and even some amusement. But expressions were one thing, and Shin was looking for answers, after all, that's why he was here. Hato folded his hands together and began to speak.

"Are you suggesting that if we were a military organization that you would not come down to our office and inquire about our real estate?" asked Hato, referring back to when Shin had mentioned that it was strange for them because they were non-military. Basically Hato was saying, what's your point?

"And aside from that, you speak of this Hoshikata character, one whom we are familiar with yes. He's the reason our investments in Kirigakure went down the drain. I'm not privy on the politics of the region, but his exile took much of the money out of the region and the market took a turn for the worse." explained Hato with a frown, trying to remember the details.

"Words amongst the corporate higher ups is that he is a bad investment. A untrustworthy individual whom would stab anyone in the back if a better deal presented itself. If you, the Raikage of Kumogakure are believing the word of this liar, then why even defend ourselves to you? If you believe a man with a silver tongue, then who are we to convince you otherwise? We have never done anything against the village. Ever." he said, his point being made. Of course, it was a lie. But nothing was ever proven to be them... But there were still rumors to address. Rumors without any kind of fact attached to them.

"Some mysterious woman runs around the village causing mischief, whom you didn't apprehend, and Hoshikata kidnaps one of your men. I fail to see how we are involved in any of this?" finished Hato with a confused look after looking at the report.

Hato did not denied his acquaintance with Hoshikata revealing that his relationship with the shinobi was merely for business. Apparently, it was due to Hoshikata that the corporation had lost all of their growth investment with the village. Hato pointed the blame on Hoshikata's exile was the reason why most of their funds left the region. Shin verified that Hoshikata left honorably but for Hato to suggest that it was an exile was another story. It was not like Shin had complete faith at Hoshikata's word, the man had documents accompany him and not to mention Masa held no real grudge against him. More importantly, what would Titan who claims to be genial with their activities have any association with a man like Hoshikata, prior or now?

"I am suggesting no such thing but you are dodging the actual question. What is the purpose of your recent activity?" Shin responded.

"Some mysterious woman runs around the village causing mischief, whom you didn't apprehend, and Hoshikata kidnaps one of your men. I fail to see how we are involved in any of this?"

"Do you speak for this company Hato-san. You sound so sure of yourself even an honest man doubts himself." Shin continued. Shin received the parchment from the man's hands.

"Alright why don't you humor me. What were your dealings with Hoshikata." [Using Saimin Chakra]

[Requesting permission to use Saimin Chakra]

[spoilername="SaiminChakra"]Name of Jutsu: Saimin Chakra (Hypnotic Chakra)
CRPJ Effect: This jutsu utilizes the power an Uchiha's hypnotic suggestion and extends it through out the body like a weak pulse. It is much weaker than the doujutsu form as it does not take effect instantly. Instead of suggesting particular tasks to the target it suggests behaviors. To illustrate, this jutsu can change the alignment of a target one level up or below toward good or evil for a brief period of time (in a single thread). If target A is neutral evil this jutsu could make target A into neutral good or vise versa. In addition, this has a byproduct of the target gaining a sense of trust toward the user. Requires permission to use on target.
Example RP of how it will be used: Have anyone ever asked the question as to why Uchiha seemed to draw so much attention to themselves? Most people just see them as an attention seeking specialist (A.S.S) but really it is just a curse of using their renown Sharingan. Everyone knows the Sharingan grants the Uchiha the power of hypnosis but some, even Uchiha, don't know that this power leaks into the core chakra pool like a broken faucet. Shin, or rather a few of his Uchiha brethern, have gained a degree of control over this. An example can be shown at the end of a taxing mission.

There was a crippled man with his back perched behind an oak tree. His face painted with shurbs and his own dry blood. He was panting and out of breath feeling as though his body would give way except his eyes remained vibrant staring straight at the sharp edge pointing directly at him. He was a man discovered for selling his son to settle his debts to the government. At the time his son was rather young perhaps three years old and the man was consumed by his overt drinking problems. Now, his son who has become an assistant for a local baron seeks vengeance for the childhood his drunken father had given him. Shin, dressed in common shinobi gear, stood by as he watched the young man threaten his father.

"Do you believe after all that has happen you still seek to take your father's life. What would that accomplish." Shin said bluntly.

"Shin...you would not understand. I am not a shinobi like you. Even though I have came out alright I can't still forget what my father did." He said. His right arm was shaking as he struggled to keep it in place and pointing the knife right at the man.

"Hmmm..he may be a drunken man but there is always a better way. My mission was to find your father but I can't see you killing him in cold blood. Or am I wrong?"

The man paused letting his arm give way. He dropped the knife knowing the futility of his actions.

"Perhaps you are right.." The man said.
...

There other cases when this power has revealed in less obvious ways. Strangely, he has this inert ability to seduce women with his charisma, usually unintentionally, but in reality it is emollient chakra.[/spoilername]

Hato shifted in his seat with a smile and shook his head. "We need not explain what we do with our land, even to you Raikage-sama." thus was the answer to Shin's first question.

--

Shortly after, Hato shook his head and shrugged his shoulders to his first comment. Doubt was not something one in his position was allowed to have. Upon the final question, a renewed sense of honor and pride was instilled within Hato and he looked to Shin with a new aura. An obvious boost in his devotion towards his goals and loyalties. "Ah back to earlier. You see, Hoshikata is the leader of the Isaki clan, I'm sure you are aware. They are arguably the largest clan in all the land. So when he and his clan left Kirigakure, an economy doesn't just remain constant when thousands in it's workforce get up and leave town. Hence, the drop in the market and our lost investment. We didn't trade with the clan directly, but their business and our own mingled from time to time."

Unfortunately, Hato was under the impression that Shin was referring to their business dealings.

"You do need to explain if you expect to have your headquarters in this village. What good is it to the both of us if we can not trust one another?" Shin commented.

"Interesting." Shin said as he returned the parchment into his cloak. "So it would appear that there was more to the exodus of the Isaki clan than expected." Shin thought to himself. Was it farfetched to assume that there was a connection between the two parties. "It sounds rather irresponsible to have most of your workforce to be entirely composed of indivduals in one group let alone a shinobi clan. I am sure you were rather impress with their abilities that you knew nothing else?"

"Quite!" exclaimed Hato with a smile. Shin posed his own comments on the situation, to which Hato could only whole-heartedly agree. "Irresponsible indeed, however, the Isaki number in the thousands, I'm not so sure that the government within Kirigakure expected ALL of them to abandon there home at the word of there leader. But I guess they learned didn't they!" he chuckled. "Though, with the whole calamity that froze the place over, I'm not sure it mattered as much. Good thing we backed out when we did or more of our capital would have been sunk in that wasteland."

After a few moments, Hato tilted his head looking down at his watch. "Is there anything else I can do for you?"

[No need re-posting my post in your own, it's not needed. I really don't like having duo dialogue topics in the same post, screws with continuity. Shin can bring it up again.]

The man was complete jocular about the entire thing expressing the anomaly as joke rather than a serious matter. Shin was hoping that the persuasive emanating from Shin's body would cause the man to be more relaxed enough to get some valid information. There was still many questions to be asked but Shin running out of time. After a few moments, the man was growing tired of the conversation seeking an abrupt end.

"That would be it for now. We will keep in touch, Hato-san. I do have one last question before I leave. What is your current position in Titan?" Shin said as he rose from his seat. Once the man answered his question he will leave the establishment, there was much to be done.

Hato looked at him quizzically. What an odd question.

"Well, technically I'm just an administrative assistant. But I've worked in the corporation for a long time so I've gained responsibilities along the way. Thank you for taking the time to visit us! Have a good day."
