It was an early Saturday morning when Yuko woke from his bed. He had been training a lot since he came back to the village from his mission outside of it. He had been training his jutsu, his speed, stamina, chakra control, everything he could do to make himself stronger, faster and better reflexes then before. On this beautiful Saturday morning his routine stayed the same, he went out and jogged three miles before having breakfast. He finished his morning routine and made his way towards his training area at the academy. However his mind was changed while on his way. He had spent his entire time training physically however mentally he wasn't any smarter than he was before. He had a thirst today. A thirst for new knowledge. What type of knowledge though? He wasn't very good at melee Taijutsu but that was again, a physical aspect. He considered himself exceptional in the Genjutsu arts, not that he has ever truly shown anyone that he is, a secret weapon of his own. No today would be different. He wanted a rich knowledge... something of meaning or of importance. He knew exactly where to go... The scroll Locker!
The place had anything and everything one could possibly want to know about anything, let alone Suna. History, mathematics, jutsu of all kinds, world maps; the place was loaded with a wealth of knowledge. He could sit in here for years reading all the material and he still wouldn’t know it all. Mostly because he would probably forget some of it but that was beside the point here. He looked around the history section. He loved reading about the olden day Sunahoshi, cousin to the Sunaku clan. Today however he wanted to read something unique, something you don’t read every day. A book came up that he hadn’t seen before. Something called the “Annals of the Conqueror”. Yuko gave it a puzzled look, looked around seeing no one else was around and shrugged as he took it off the shelf. The book felt mystical. He went to a corner to sit down and read. He sat down and opened the book and his mind was overtaken. It burn with knowledge being etched into his memory, over taking and forcing any un-needed information out of its way to make space for its vast set of symbols and words. It took Yuko a while but he finally figured it out, it wasn’t random words and symbols, it was a code… a language. Once he figured this out he didn’t fight it, the pain disappeared as well. It was a welcome of sentences and paragraphs of words and meanings. The entire experience was surreal.
The information eventually stopped and he woke up finding himself without the book in the corner of the scroll locker. He must have fallen asleep and the book must have been put back on the shelf. He got up to leave and saw it there, glancing at it quick. The following words whispered into his head “انها بدأت للتو ذلك .... “ and he understood the words… he just didn’t know the meaning. He needed to know what it meant. He needed to find someone who could explain. What had happened to the village and what as this language he could now understand? He had heard of the great Sennin Kuro, though he had never met him in person. The man was knowledgeable even if he was a bit different from what he has been told. Maybe he would start there….
