Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Osuteno couldn’t believe it. He was actually here. He managed to cross the sea with no pirates, or cultist or obnoxious dolphins or anything. Not only that but he had managed to find a nice area far from civilization. He pulled out a scroll and unpacked his things… He looked around… Nothing.

Osu examined the spot he had decided to set up camp that was a fair distance from the water so high tide and such wouldn’t ruin his day, but not too much so to ruin the effect. He looked around some more. Still nothing. Nothing at all was happening. He never thought he would see the day. As in he was actually having a peaceful experience for once… It was marvelous.

He proudly laid out a very nice camp. He had camped many times in his life but never on sand before. The only sand he had experienced before was that horrid and hot stuff in Wind Country. This… was very fine and even though it was day only had a mild heat… He always forgot how much oxygen was down in the lowlands with all the time he spent on that mountain. The smell of the sea filled his nostrils as he took a deep breath. Absolutely brilliant.

It was still pretty early in the day though and he had more setup to do now if he really wanted to relax and enjoy the next few days. He judge about where high tide would probably come up to and began making a small weir, after that he tested the plant materials around him before deciding what to make some funnel shaped traps and such out of. A few hours passed and he even had a net made to support his weir. Sure he may have cheated a little by using long crystal spikes to pierce very deep but they were effective with all this shifting sand. He made his fire pit, and gathered some local fruit which would be his dinner that night.

Seeing as he had a few hours more sunlight left to work with, he got started on his biggest project, a seaworthy raft. Well, by get started it was mostly planning the boat and gathering the materials. He got a bit of sizing done but it wouldn’t really be anything until the next day. And so Osu watched the sun set into the sea.

And so Osu slept outside on the mildly warm sand with only a bit of material to keep it from sticking to him, practically a sheet. The sound of the ocean gently lulled him into a peaceful state and then to rest as his fire pit crackled on the sandy beach.

Osu awoke the next day very well rested and early enough to get to work on his raft before the sun truly rose. Very different than being on top of a mountain that was for sure, being unable to really watch the sunrise as he normally would. That aside he began to assemble his craft while his clone retrieved some choice fish from the traps and took them to cook at the fire.

It was well into the afternoon before he deemed his raft seaworthy, but he still wanted to improve the balance a bit with buoyancy to one side to help balance it and make it easier to flip back over if something happens. Well… he could stand on the water but… that just didn’t feel right.

Smiling with a bit of excitement he looked out towards the coral reef. There would be fantastic fishing there he thought while taking a bite of some unknown sea creature. Not bad… probably would be better if he smoked it.

Lunch being done with he loaded a few lobster cages he made to experiment with, a couple spears, a medium net, a basket with fish guts, a couple clean baskets, and his fishing pole. Before he pushed the boat into the water he looked down at his clothing and thought about it for a moment before removing it. It wasn’t like his skin was able to tan or burn.

So the sixteen year old wore only a loincloth he put together real quick, and displayed a slim and extremely feminine figure, with no muscle apparent at all. Even with his chest exposed one might be unsure if he were a pretty woman or a very pretty man. Honestly it caused issue every time he tried to use the men’s side of the hotsprings back home… or when female acquaintances tried to take him to the women’s side despite his protests and he always just ended up in the mixed bathing.

No, he was here to ignore the constant oddities of his daily life. He pushed thoughts of home to the back of his mind as he paddled forward.

To be brief, the reef was gorgeous. The clear, beautiful water exposed a diverse world of color and activity under the surface, with coral, fish, and countless bits of colorful life all around him.The boat rocked gently under him as he made a shape with his hand and held it towards the shore to help him find this spot again later and drop his cages into the water… Excellent the rope was long enough to link the cage and his buoys.

Moving a bit further along he noticed with some novelty that there were fishing coming up to swim directly under his craft. Well it was finally time… He took a breath… and cast the line.

*plop*

… He was fishing. He was fishing! Osu was finally, truly fishing! He had waited years for this moment. All those shenanigans that kept him from this! He was really going to get to peacefully fish! And did he fish. That day alone he came back with things larger than anything he had ever caught in a river or lake. He also had a variety of smaller fish. Preparing them and cooking portions of each he deemed safe and trying them raw as well he nearly cried from how much he was enjoying a vacation for once.

Some were fantastic, some were not. But he had plenty of chum and guts to fish with the next day and bait his traps with. He even made some pools (cheating a bit to do so) to keep some live fish in.

The next day he had to throw so many fish back it was ridiculous, not to mention he had actually caught a good number of sizable crabs. And once more that night he feasted like a king, expanding his cooking methods a bit and tasting dozens and dozens of different flavors… a bit excessive actually as he took a look.

Since he had been trying to try as many different things as possible, he originally had been using the extras to bait and chum with. However he could tell he was getting too out of hand and had much more chum than he knew what to do with… And then he looked out at the reef… What if he…

The next morning he ate some fruit for breakfast along with some urchin he had found, and paddled out to the reef, near the outside edge but not quite. There was one section he found that had opened up a bit more… there it was. Osu looked at the gallons of chum he had along with spears he had made sitting in the bottom of the boat. He dumped all the chum into the water, then… knowing that he was being a bit excessive just by thinking it… he dropped several cubic meters of blood into the water and waited... waited to see what predators might come...
