Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Today the young shinobi had traded her custom Samurai style armor for much simpler garb; today she wore a loose pair of charcoal-colored linen pants, a white fitted tank top, a long gray linen vest that concealed a set of three fine kunai that were strapped to the belt she wore around her hips, and on her feet she had strapped a pair of woven sandals, the straps of which she had wrapped up her ankle over her pants legs to keep the flowing fabric out of her way. She also carried an empty back-pack style satchel on her back. The only thing that wasn't different about her attire was her ever-present sword swinging from her hip, however, the ornate hilt was also concealed beneath the vest...she was trying to blend in and the golden sword did anything but. Of course, as usual, the young girl's red hair was tied back in a long braid, a strap of black leather tied around the bottom. All together the image of the red haired teenager was quite pleasant as she had filled out quite a bit in the past year.

The reason for her attire change was that someone had stolen some items from her small display that sat outside her shop doors while she was open, and thus she was searching through the slums for the culprit. This time, however, she would be much more careful, there would be no repeat of the Bingo Book incident. Walking through the grimy streets she received a fair few catcalls from residents, mostly drunk men, and there were plenty of whispers, but she kept a hand under her vest, holding the hilt of her blade and that seemed to keep most of the predators at bay.

Her emerald green eyes scanned the crowds and store-fronts, looking for the weapons that had been stolen. After about a half hour of walking, she spotted one of her creations laying on the counter of a cart, a pair of matching kunai – not anything too special, but still very well made, as was to be expected of a Suchiru creation.

Walking over to the cart, she picked up the pair and gave them a once-over, they didn't look to be damaged in any way, a little dirty from being in this part of the cave, but nothing a quick polish wouldn't fix. Hailing the cart owner, she smiled. “Sorry to bother you, but these kunai were stolen from outside my shop yesterday,” she showed him the small fire shape with the 'S' inside it etched on the handle, then showed him the matching handle on her broadsword, as well as on each of her kunai. “I'm not accusing you, and I don't want any trouble, I just would like these back, also, I would like some information about whoever sold these to you.” Her voice was the authoritative voice her father had taught her, and she reached into the pocket of her pants and pulled out a small bag of coins, setting it on the counter of the cart. The merchant opened the bag and his eyes widened, it wasn't very much money really, but down here it was enough to mean food for a week.

“Perhaps that would be enough for both the kunai and the information?” She had known before coming down here that no one would simply give her her items back simply because they were stolen from her, and she wasn't looking to make any trouble, she just wanted whoever had stolen from her brought to justice.

Ah yes…” the shop keeper said as he eyed the coins and lifted the sack up to reach in and count them with a finger, “He had blue wild hair and quite charismatic, though I had no idea he had stolen these weapons or I never would have bought them,” the shop keeper tried to assure Amy. With a grin the man tossed the bag up into the air almost in victory as he ended this day with far more money than he would have made off the stolen weapons. Yet as the bag lingered in mid air a flash of blue and white shot down from a window right above the keeper’s head and snatched his little jingling back of zenny.

Enter the Dragon! Ryuu Yoen

The boy landed on the ground without a single sound save the jingling of coins sliding around in the bag he grasped. His blue eyes shifted up to look at the red head and the sword sheath that was protruding out of her vest. He gave a sheepish grin and a nervous laugh as he fell back on his rear and began to push himself away from Amy and the shop keeper whose face was becoming as red as the girl’s hair.
Then Yoen outright flipped the tables.
He stuck out his tongue at Amy and threw a smoke bomb between himself and the two that probably had violent intentions towards him. Quickly the Ryuu used the distraction and regained his footing to go sprinting down the road before flexing his leg muscles and leaping onto the top of shop stalls then onto roofs as he made his escaped deeper and deeper into the slums. Not a single drop of chakra had been used for anything he did and his agility was enough to make a highly trained Uzumoreru Assassin grin.

After about ten minutes of straight running the teenager jumped down into an alley that looked deserted enough and stopped to catch his breath. He leaned heavy against a wall as he panted, all the while pulling out the sack of coins from inside of his shirt to open and begin counting…

Amy nodded a little as she listened, a boy with blue hair would be quite easy to spot in the slightly muted colors of the cave, much like her own bright red hair was difficult to miss. “Of course, like I said, I wasn't accusing you, you're just trying to run a business, just like I am.” Her voice was very friendly as she looked at the shop keeper, it wouldn't be hard to believe that the man had suspected that the items he had purchased were stolen and just didn't care enough about the legality of the situation and more the profit that could be made.

Just then a flash of blue flew through the air above the conversing pair and landed a few feet from the young shinobi. Turning her head quickly to look at the thief and his triumphant little grin, she scowled at him, tightening her grip on her sword. Clearly this was the boy who had stolen the items from her shop. The boy made a rude face, and Amy scowled even deeper, annoyed with the boy's attitude.

He threw a smoke bomb before running off and Amy sighed, almost a growling sound, before she turned to the merchant and shook her head, “Well, I believe I found him, thank you...now if you would excuse me.”

With that, she took off after the boy - her footfalls making no sound - and ran straight through the dispersing cloud of smoke just as she saw the boy leap up onto the roof tops Rolling her eyes, Amy followed suit, gaining on him little by little as she chased him farther into the slums.

The speed with which the young girl ran was incredible for someone so young, and never once did she hesitate to jump across even the widest alleys and streets. Her small feet easily balanced as she sprinted across poles and around walled fences. There were even a few times that she did a few skilled flips in mid-air to pick up speed as she jumped from roof to roof. Not an ounce of chakra was used by the young girl either to keep her speed and balance due to her strength and remarkably agile frame.

Her emerald eyes stayed trained on the bobbing blue topped frame as she followed him, but she lost sight of him when he dropped from the roof of one building into an alley.

The young girl slowed herself and did a small roll into a couching position as she looked down into the deserted and dark space, spotting the blue haired boy instantly. The boy was grinning and counting the money in the bag she had given to the merchant for his trouble. Scowling more, she pushed herself up and jumped down in front of the boy, drawing her sword as she dropped.

Landing steadily on her feet about two feet in front of the boy, she held the tip of her blade about an inch away from the tip of his nose. “That doesn't belong to you...and neither did the rest of the weapons you took from me that I'm sure you've sold by now,” her voice once again had all the authority of the Suchiru clan in it, and the expression on her face would have been a bit intimidating to even a grown man.

Yoen looked down at the blade being pointed at his nose and grinned wickedly. This girl really wasn’t kidding about her stuff!
Whoa, hey!” he said with a mock surprise as he threw his hands up into the air, dropping the bag of gold coins on the ground beside his left food, “No need to get carried away, yeah? That’s a really, really…pointy sword you got there girly.

Yoen had some kind of weird accent. It couldn’t be placed exactly but there were hints of the outside world influencing him through his seedy family ties to thieves. A few of his uncles frequently traveled through the outside country and communed with the Bandit Lords every now and again. There was also an aunt of his that spent most of her time in Kirigakure but visited on his birthdays. His older sister actually had an in with the Uzumoreru Clan right now who were originally of the Fire Country. There was no reason for the boy not to have an accent given the mixed heritage he was raised through. No actual parents raised him as he was just an orphan, but like all talented orphans with a quick hand he was taken in by a small family of thieves that called themselves Ryuu. He never questioned why they chose the blue-haired boy out of the rest of the orphans, he just happily accepted his training and food and went about his way. There was no way that they could know he had Uchiha blood right?
Speaking of…

Yoen’s helpless face remained in full surrender when his foot kicked the bag of coins up at Amy’s face. It was to block her line of vision for just a second, and in the second the bag and coins flew before her emerald eyes, Yoen’s irises had turned purple and two wheels were attached to his pupils…just as well his nose was no longer being held down by the point of a weapon and his cheek was running inches away from the edge of the swordswoman’s blade. A dagger slid from out a secret pocket in his pants to feint at the girl and make her try to perform a block so that he could catch the bag of coins, with most of the coins still in it, and turn to haul ass down the alley once again.

He was a thief, not a fighter.

The redhead raised her eyebrows at the boy's nonchalant attitude and rolled her eyes a little, “Yes, I'm serious, you've stolen from me twice in the same week and you think I'm just going to let you get away with it?” Her tone was angrier now, and she grew even angrier as she caught the movement of his hand out of the corner of her eye.

The bag of coins flew into the air and her free hand moved upward to snatch it from midair without taking her eyes off the boy. Then, just as the boy slid to the side slightly and reached into his pants, she noticed that his eyes had turned purple. Blinking a few times quickly, she remembered the boy from before....his eyes had been the same, but they were red weren't they?

Shaking her head again, she brought herself back to the here and now just in time for her emerald eyes to flash down to this new movement to see the glint of a dagger. A low growl rumbled in her chest as she swung her broadsword down to knock the small blade from the boy's hand and away from them, a small clink sounding through the small alley as it bounced off the wall.

Spinning the rest of her body toward him, she, once again, raised her blade to his nose, this time pressing the incredibly sharp tip ever-so-lightly to the tip of his nose, just enough to draw a small bead of blood. “Really? You're gonna try that with me?” Her voice was dripping with rage now as she tucked the bag of coins into a pocket that was sewn just inside the top of her linen pants.

“I can promise you, trying anything like that again would be a bad idea...”

Well you can’t blame me for trying!" Yoen said with a little anger to the edge of his voice. He wasn’t very happy about having his skin actually being pricked by the tip of her sword and the bit of pain that came from it rushed into his mind that suddenly turned it into a steel thinking machine.

The Uchiha wheels in his eyes began to spin a little as he focused his chakra through his body in his arms and legs while taking readings of her power. She was truly an amazing person with that blade and props to whoever was teaching her because it was rare to actually catch a member of the Thunder Ryuu Clan; I mean, they did normally commit suicide if caught as per their religion.

Yoen didn’t have any thoughts of dying anytime soon.

Once again he began to move to get out of Amy’s grasp, but this time he didn’t care to go for the gold in that bag. He had already made his profit from the stolen kunai and that extra bag she had on her was just that – extra. He didn’t absolutely need it as the money he had made on the weapons was enough to set him straight for a few weeks before he had to go back to stealing.
Of course he would theft before that because of his dysfunctional family but he wouldn’t need to for his own food and comfort for those weeks.
His foot once again slid forward as if to try and kick at her as he moved his body like a snake, quickly snapping his upper body over to the left in the hopes that she would try and stab him from his foot movement. He would then step forward and clasp her wrist with one hand and then chop at the palm of her sword hand with the other which would cause it to go numb and drop the weapon – hopefully. Even if that did fail he then ducked down to sweep his right leg to kick out Amy’s feet from under her then form his hands into three seals that would cause a bolt of electricity to drop down from the sky and strike the redhead. It wasn’t fatal, as he didn’t have enough chakra as a Student to muster up a killing bolt, but hopefully it would be enough to stun her as he turned, this time without the coins, to run away from her again really wishing he could of just drew his second dagger and killer her right then and there.

Thankfully Yoen wasn’t stupid either.

If any of his tricky attacks were to land he would then speed down the alley, take a left, and slide himself under a large garbage can that had a little switch under it. Flicking the switch the wall behind the bin opened up a little so he could roll in and be safe from the fiery red head that had some serious anger problems.

The two were being incredibly loud for two people who he suspected wanted to have simply a quiet interaction outside the public eye. While it was fortunate that they both were having this dance of coinage and feelings in a small space that many would not have visual access to, they also unfortunately disturbed his rooftop napping session. He wondered just how well they were aware of their surroundings as he rested on the edge of a nearby roof, his feet supporting his squatting weight while his eyes remained transfixed upon the days entertainment. While it was true he was out of visual range to accurately follow small details with the normal eye, his pupils at the same time were not in their normal state but transfixed into his clan's doujutsu. Blinking momentarily, he grew to watch the events play out below him as if he was standing right before them both and noted simple movements that each of them were taking that gauged their overall skill level.

"They are not much more if any more skilled than I am....Though the boy with the spiraled eyes, I wonder what their abilities are?"

His bane and downfall as a child was his innate sense of curiousness which often times led Mun to become involved in situations that he never should become involved in. However his overall immature ways of thinking did not impede on this impulsive nature but instead seemed to inspire it as various scenarios began to play in his mind, egging on his behavior. He stood up calmly then, his balance nearly perfect due to the specific nature of training he went through to better suit his natural talents. Reaching into his belt pouches, the boy would remove a black handled kunai and a white handled kunai from each with one held firmly in each palm. Mun was a strategist and knowingly so he needed to ensure that these two did not run off before he could further peek his curiosity. Mun's actions next were quick and would instantly bring attention to the two below him fighting that they were not alone. It was almost at the same timing of Ryuu's lightning jutsu that, given his sharingan eyes he would naturally be the first of the two to become aware of, kunai knives began to rain down on both pathways of the alley. These kunai stuck deeply into the sides of the buildings and as each one would stick another seemed to rapidly strike the same general area. The thing most apparent about this would be the fact that the kunai themselves weren't the focus of why Mun threw them, but it was what they created that would set the child's preparedness apart. Each kunai had an attachment of ninja wire wrapped inside the ringed design at the base of the handle and they all seemed to interlock like a spider's web with various explosive tags suspended upon random areas of the notes themselves.

"You two woke me up...."

It was a bold statement but the boy was stating a fact after all. He did not relinquish his advantage of being at a higher ground than the others but instead stood completely straight with his palms visibly still holding onto his kunai. That was the trick in his weaponry, even though he had thrown the kunai it was with each throw that a seal would activate upon it's handle with his chakra that the weapon duplicated itself. Given the height and distance variations between them it would be up to Amy if she saw the distinct eye pattern of Mun's pupils but Ryuu had virtually no choice but to notice it given his own doujutsu. Spinning his kunai calmly the boy made a rather bold declaration to both of them, something which obviously told off on his lack of interaction with others his age.

"You two both know how they work, so it would be wise if you not use lightning jutsu again or try and tamper with them. Also, if you try to move upwards or towards me trust and believe I will be able to strike you before you can complete that task. Now...entertain me more..."

Yes, he wanted them to continue their fight solely so he could watch and observe the abilities of them both. After all they had awoken him from his dreams so now they were his entertainment.

As soon as she felt the blue-haired boy's hand wrap around her wrist, she pushed chakra down into her feet to propel her from the ground. From there she flipped her body backward, flipping three times through the air before her feet touched the ground again. Just as she landed, a lightning strike dropped from the roof of the cave to hit the spot she had been standing just moments before.

Her scowl deepened as she lifted her emerald eyes to the back of the boy's head as he began to run away and she took off after him just as he dove underneath the dumpster. Skidding to a stop in front of the dumpster she sheathed her sword quickly before squatting somewhat, gripping the bottom edge of the trash can with both hands, before lifting it and flipping it onto its side, causing the contents to spill out onto the ground.

“I told you not to try that again!”

Amy's voice was becoming angrier by the moment, and she bent down to grab the boy's collar as he began to scoot away from the raging redhead. Her green pupils flashed dangerously as she pulled him up into a standing position just as the pair became surrounded by raining kunai.

Still keeping a firm hold onto the Ryuu's collar, she looked around at the number of explosive notes that they were now trapped by just as a new voice entered the scene.

It was the voice of a mere child, and Amy's eyes darted up to look at the boy perched on the rooftop. How she had missed him there when she had chased Yoen to this spot, she wasn't sure, but it was most likely due to his small stature and the fact that he had been sleeping. Even with her average eyesight she could see a distinct pattern in the boy's eyes, though it was one she hadn't seen before, and she rolled her eyes a little, wondering how many of these freaky eyed kids she would meet in her lifetime. “This isn't any of your business, kid, but if you insist...”

Shaking her head at the boy's sick sense of entertainment, she lowered her eyes and turned back to look at the blue-haired boy, quirking her eyebrow at him, hoping he was intelligent enough to catch on to her idea in enough time to keep them from being blown apart, also to keep this little boy out of their business.

After another heartbeat's time, Amy had her sword unsheathed and her hand had released Yoen's collar and was running at the mass of ninja wire that held the pair in the alley way before jumping and aiming a wide slash at the trap before spinning into a back flip to propel herself back toward Yoen, grabbing his arm and throwing him with all her strength toward the mass of explosive notes, hoping his speed was fast enough before she flipped herself once again through the air to the bricked off end of the alley.

Yoen swore that for a second he saw his very short life flash before his eyes.

The next thing he knew his beating was being delayed by some kid who was throwing kunai at the red and blue hair pair and demanding that they fight or else be blown to smithereens. The speed in which all of this happened was so crazy that even his Uchiha eyes couldn’t keep up with everything at first. However once things settled for a second he was able to see the explosive tags and the mild amount of energy that were packed into them.
It wasn’t enough to kill someone, per say, but enough that it could possibly cripple a person if used correctly. This was turning out to be one hell of a day already considering he had never had so many strings of random events tie in together all at once like this.

Seriously this was more up the alley of a crazy person’s life.

Then all of sudden Amy’s emerald eyes burrowed into Yoen’s purple irises with a quirked eyebrow as if to ask him for a truce until the nuisance with the exploding tags was dealt with; honestly the thief just wanted to go home by this point. Yet with or without his approval the girl let go of his shirt, drew her sword, and began to cut away at the wire. The thief’s eyes widened dramatically as normally for e-notes, as soon as the wire was cut, there was only a 2-5 second delay in the explosion.
He swore he had a mini-heart attack when Amy then grabbed his shirt a again and threw him at the bombs.
Why!? was all his mind could think as his formed together to make a single seal, his entire body being covered and tangled into the wires full of e-notes.

An explosion rocked the lower district for probably the third time that morning – it was quite normal in these parts. Bits of wooden kawarmii jutsu were scattered all over the blackened alleyway as Yoen clung to a wall a little bit above the site of the explosion. He was panting and his eyes wide in terror.

Who the hell were these people!?

Where they would proceed to brace themselves for the explosion to come after a few seconds passed they would hear the sounds of nothing. It was once their eyes would naturally re-evaluate the area in which Amy had offensively attacked they would see the ninja wire strewn across the ground floor of the alley. The tags were still attached to this wire and had not gone off however standing in this location would be Mun himself. Using the moments where the two had prepared for the explosion they thought would be coming, the boy had motioned down into the alley itself in order to physically engage the two. His eyes narrowed as the boy seemed to have a tinge of seriousness behind them now, his fingertips rotating the kunai within their grasp slowly.

".....Bad entertainment......."

Each of the black and white handled kunai's would be slid into the weapon holster's upon the boy's legs before Mun would motion his hands behind his back. He did not take a step forwards but did brace his legs. There was a lot of details about the boy that both could tell now that he was a lot closer to them, the main thing being that he was obviously younger than the two. Having only been in the academy for a year the child's level of overall skill was obviously going to be below that of these two however he made up for this by being particularly adept in certain areas. Removing his palms finally they would see that he had three kunai resting between his fingertips on each hand.

"I am a Hassha-tai..."

Mun's statement was immediately followed by his arms crossing over his chest, which was a universal sign that the kunai were about to fly. His movement was quick but his eyes gave him a visual advantage in being able to hone in on distinct areas to target in tangent with his throwing. Six kunai knives suddenly propelled forwards though even though the boy had touted his aiming skills, immediately it would seem as if his aiming was less than impressive. Only two of the six kunai even flew straight towards their targets, Amy and Yoen, while the other four arc'd either to high or to much to the side. With the battled started however there was one hint that would attributed to the wielder of the sharingan, thanks to its abilities, as he would notice the subtle movement Mun's fingertips made after the projectiles were thrown and possibly a quick reflection of light upon one of the kunai's trajectory paths...

What this meant would be up to the Uchiha to understand and react to but one thing was for certain, a kunai was on correct target towards Amy's right shoulder and Yoen's left knee.

Amy had crouched in the back corner of the alley way in preparation for the explosion that never came, her hands covering the back of her head before she lifted her eyes to look for the reason she hadn't heard the explosion. Looking toward the other end of the alley she saw the small boy that that trapped them in the first place with a much more serious and almost demented – as it seemed to the teenage girl – expression on his face. Her eyes then raised a bit more to look at the blue haired boy who had apparently not come up with anything better than to throw out a body switch jutsu and get himself away from the explosion...what a useless kid.

Rolling her emerald eyes, the wiry muscled girl stood up straight once again and drew her blades taking a few steps toward the stupid boys before stopping as the younger of the two began to speak.

The boy returned his pair of kunai to their holsters before drawing a set of six from behind his back. Amy looked at the weapons, trying to ascertain the quality of their craftsmanship before the boy spoke again and threw all six knives through the air. Four of them went completely off course, and Amy scoffed a little, though she easily spotted the one that was heading for her and she curled her body to flip out of its trajectory.

This shit had just gotten serious, and Amy wasn't about to put up with being attacked for no real reason.

[[Shooooort....but at least its a post :p]]

Yoen still really had no idea what was going on. They were entertainment? What?

The blue haired thief looked up as he hit the ground in a roll, realizing that the tags hadn’t gone off amazingly and that his dagger was right where Amy had disarmed it of him. His hand gripped the hilt as the purple irises looked up to see Mun continue his attack on the two people below who wanted nothing more than to resolve their own differences; Yoen just wanted to go home honestly. This had gotten way out of hand for his tastes.

Lifting up the dagger he parried two of the blades coming down at him and ran down an alley that he knew had a ladder leading up to the top of the building where the strange kid was pelting them with kunai. He hadn’t exactly been very masterful with his chakra control and it was actually one of his major downfalls in the academy. Despite being blessed with the great eyes of the Uchiha, Yoen was actually very much your average shinobi in terms of power and ability.
Hand over hand the thief used what little training he was good at and quietly maneuvered his way up and over the lip of the roof. Quiet as he could muster the thief skittered from the ladder over behind a small bricked up room that was the roof access from inside. He wasn’t sure exactly what he was going to do from here but he figured at least now he had the stealth advantage. It was better than what the hot-head down there was doing which was probably knocking aside kunai and cursing.

Red heads man, just…damn. Feisty, yo.

Yoen reached into the cloth belt around his waist to fiddle with the inside pockets to see if he had anything that would be of immediate use in this situation. The sole smoke bomb that he carried had already been used, throwing knives seemed like a bad idea against someone who was using kunai as their sole weapon…he had a breakfast biscuit which he took out and began to munch on while he tried to work out something smart.
It was about that time that the blue haired thief noticed something lurking in the shadows behind the steam vent for the building. He tried to focus on it as he chewed on the sausage and egg combo but he couldn’t get an exact detail of it. Whatever it was suddenly decided to melt and slither away from the shadow of the steam vent in the form of a black liquid that was quickly moving up towards Mun’s back. The liquid slowed up as it neared the boy and from it a black hand with a black short-sword rose to strike down.
