Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It had been one of those rare days, at least since Yoshihisa had been granted access to the academy that he had managed to find his parents for breakfast instead of them already hauling around a large variety of rocks to carve behind the house. Not that he could be blame them in any way, considering the weather outside seemed in any sense of the word 'out to kill': The roaring of the brewing storm and its accompanying thunder and lightning were indeed quite frightening, making the setup of this morning even more unusual than it already had been. Still he couldn't afford to be late today, considering the fact he would no doubt get the same speech of the academy instructor thrown at his head if he wasn't going to be on time, but he also felt obligated to be on time not to miss this very important day. He had been looking forward to it for weeks, for today was in tune with the choices the students had after they graduated from the academy and what their options to better Iwagukure.

Had you asked him a year or two ago what his vision of the future was, it would have been related to the business his family ran and had done so long before he had even been a gleam in his parents' eyes. The fact was, a lot had changed. The rain was pouring down on him as he made his way through the narrow alleys, a chunk of bread clenched between his teeth as he tried to go over his thoughts for a little while longer, yet couldn't help but be interrupted. All he could come up with was just that, that his life had changed, and quite drastically if he was being honest. Despite his age, he was already helping out his village in ways perhaps more significant than he might even realize. If he kept up his pace, who knew where he might end up? Each branch of Shinobi secured another part of the village's protection, be it from the shadows or even by mending the wounds of others fighting in their stead. While the former was mostly shunned by the general public and the latter required a particular set of skills, there was nothing to not be delighted about. One could have guessed the last sprint to the academy was a short one for more than one reason, even though the chance to get out of the rain was one he grabbed hold of with both hands.

While not completely devoid of students it was curious to see how few of them had actually managed to make it to the classroom. Several more would be joining them as they progressed through the official introduction of the various branches, but as of yet Yoshihisa was only vague aware of them. Not the greatest speaker, it might have been the very first time the boy Shinobi was hanging to his instructor's every word, which despite being as monotonous as they could get included all the information he needed.

"-... meaning that the pinnacle of these so-called branches are mostly inaccessible to your average Shinobi, yet no talent will go to waste. Every Shinobi of Iwagakure no Sato forms a part of it, at it is the lifeblood that courses through its veins and grants it the position it holds today. Meaning that for even those not cut out to be an ANBU or Sennin later in life, that your efforts still matter, perhaps even more so than those who are."

The crackling sound coming from outside was barely loud enough to make the instructor's voice inaudible. There had been a certain amount of power behind his words as he concluded his presentation, and like before there was a first time for everything: For the first time, there wasn't just a man standing there without any distinguishable traits or features, but someone who had shown pride in being a Shinobi of the village. Perhaps he had been right, and the future had good promises for all of them as long as they did their part. Yet for some still more than others, as Yoshihisa would realize later that morning..
