The letter Ao had received while he was conversing with the strange man in the gambling hall was from his fox allies. It had requested that Ao head to the Moon Country as soon as possible as there was some sort of emergency there. Ao wished the letter had given him a little more direction, it did not tell him what was going on there, or where to go once he entered the foreign land.
Ao had reached the outskirts of Crater City and looked back down at the crumbling homes and shops that made up this interesting place. His eyes kept returning to the gambling hall, a place that Ao had decided that he would return to sooner rather than later. Something about this town, the gambling hall, and that stranger weighed heavily upon him. Regardless Ao had a promise to keep, and the quicker he went about fulfilling it, the quicker he could return to this place. Then he would hopefully be able to help the people here who the Village Hidden and the Leaves and the Damiyo of this land had forgotten.
Ao started to realize that his calling may be to help the people in villages like this, who had no one to stand up for them, and possibly bring change to the Shinobi Villages that were supposed to protect them. Ao pulled out a pipe from his cloak, packed it, then lit it as he made his way towards the Moon Country.
Maybe Ao had found his true calling, but first things first; he had a job to do.
