Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

To the Top: An E-ranked Mission

What an awful day; someone funneled another menial task down to Jomei in the name of paying dues. The sun was on high and a blistering swelter was smothering the hidden stone. Jomei spent his morning with a few friends; they were trying to cook eggs on the pavement and almost succeeded. Today, Jomei held the honorable task of recovering the Tsuchikage’s beloved hat. Sure, these tasks were becoming tiresome to perform, but Jomei was using this time wisely to develop key ninja skills. Finding this single white hat without failure was like finding a needle in a haystack. Someone gave Jomei a single day to full fill the task of a champion.

The best part of taking on errands was mastering the highways and byways through the village. There wasn't an area within the village that Jomei hadn’t explored already, save for the off-limit ones. He knew of all the nooks, crannies, and dark places from avenue to avenue, and had a knack for taking hiding places with such quickness.

All was quiet. Jomei could not find a single lead until 3:46pm, where a chance meeting provided him a view of an individual with notable details. Among the previously-mentioned nook and crannies resided a man with many undesirable qualities. He was a tall and lanky man, somewhat underweight and fragile in appearance. He swayed like a hula dancer, and wore tattered renditions of the standard hidden stone uniforms, but was no true ninja. His clothing sagged and his scent grabbed Jomei’s attention long before his dance and the hat on his head. The stranger danced alone to a radio in an alley behind a restaurant. The Tsuchikage’s headwear bobbled as he made sporadic dances jukes. This man was somewhere between a vagabond and free-spirit; both disrespecting a royal head piece.

“Hey, I’ve been looking for that hat!”

Jomei dropped down from his vantage point above in a slick repel fashion. It was the same technique he attempted earlier during Yuki’s stealth course- but this time there was no room for error. He shaved two threads off of his leader’s headwear during an attempt to impair his target. Something about the weight in Jomei's sword caused him to second-guess his actions. The perp was on his toes and counter-attacked the moment he could turn to face Jomei. This dancing fool gave a stiff front-kick that was too tough to contain. Jomei raised his sword into a kenpo blocking position but the sword style presented too many weak spots. The stone blocks lining the building to his back were unforgivable, and the hat-thief bucked like a bronco.
The stranger’s counter-attacks were devastating while attempting to fight with the limiting sword. The alley’s narrow design restricted Jomei's attack options. He was playing his opponent’s game: getting smacked around like a fool until he made a plan for stealing back the hat, or neutralizing the foe. He’d never hear the end of it if he lost the fight or had to flee.

Placing his ninjato back into it’s sheath, Jomei freed himself for more close quarters combat. This opponent couldn’t match his quickness or agility, nor did he have any kind of trained skills on display. Tactfully, Jomei charged his foe one more time and rebounded himself off of one of the two brick walls they wedged between. Jomei wowed his foe with an inhuman display of agile grace before slinging a heel kick across his temple. The first stunning blow opened his target for two more strikes to critical weak points- his sternum and solar plexus. Of course Jomei hadn’t learned how to strike so precisely yet, his instincts simply guided him to the most vital points on his foe. The instance went according to plan, and even the Tsuchikage’s cap was released from his lice-ridden crown.

This old man began to stumble back in a daze, but not from the beating that rookie had given him. The old stranger pulled his resisting hands away, revealing his face covered in a thick gray spider webbing with extremely adhesive properties. Confused and dismayed, Jomei hardly understood when or how he had done that to his opponent, but without a moment’s hesitation he fled the scene.
