Name: Toruka, Haruto
Age: 15
Physical Description:
Haruto is a bit tall for his age due to his father's barbarian genes. A tough, but not unloving childhood made Haruto tan and lithe from long days playing unsupervised in Sunagakure. His tan and often sun-reddened skin is paired with deep brown hair and hazel eyes. Haruto has a way of always looking friendly and full of good humor despite not always having so much to be happy about. Being comfortable with his physicality and using it in his ninja training causes Haruto to dress a little different than most shinobi, preferring to wear a more gi-like garb and often wrapping his arms and legs like a fighter would. Haruto has white tattoos starting on the top of his shoulders and working their way down his bicepts on both arms of waves that are representative of the wind in the desert and a sort of memento of his unknown father.
Mental Description:
Haruto is a shinobi with a generally optimistic outlook and sunny disposition. But this is just a piece of his personality. Deep down inside he harbors a great and simmering ambition to rise above his unremarkable birth and to become a truly exceptional shinobi. Haruto is focused shinobi, he has a good sense of humor and polite manner but doesn't shy away from hardwork. He smiles a lot and wants to be liked by his peers and superiors. Perhaps Haruto lacks the confidence his size and natural strength normally gives boys his age, but its all for the better because it gives a more teddy than grizzly bear disposition for the most part.
History:
Born in a small outlining town in Wind Country, to a powerful Sand Jounin mother and a father whose history is mostly unknown. Haruto's mother Ibis died in childbirth unfortunately, and since she never spoke of her son's father even to her family saying only that he was a powerful and handsome warrior from a nomad tribe, the young orphan would be raised by his poor working class village he was born in. So it was that Haruto was raised in a simple fashion like most kids in the small village, dreaming of becoming a shinobi one day like his mother. Haruto's aunt and uncle supplied him with many tales of adventure about his mother, who was a powerful shinobi in her own right despite not being from one of the great ninja clans of Suna.
Haruto spent every free moment away from chores training himself on the bits and pieces of knowledge he could garner from passing shinobi and friends in the village. Every year when the scouts for the academy came Haruto hoped, prayed, and strained his mind all he could to try and exert some control over chakra, but try as he might the boy simply couldn't accomplish any of the simple tasks assigned by the academy scouts. At first he dispaired at having seemingly only taken after his mysterious father, being strong limbed and agile but not particular inclined towards control of chakra. It didn't take long however for his better nature to rise to the surface and Haruto resigned himself to train his body just that much harder and so that the next year when the scouts came they would see that even if he lacked control over chakra he would make a fine taijutsu specialist.
Another two years came and went without any luck and the boys hopes started to fall. However, hard work and perseverance finally paid off on the third and final year he would be eligible for admittance to the academy. It was starting to looking like once again he could not tap into and control his own chakra when he was at last finally able to determine his chakra nature which was earth. He then proceeded to fail at each subsequent test given to him to see if he could perform ninjutsu and he couldn't. It wasn't until the final genjutsu tests were administered that he showed any control, being able to see through and free himself from basic and simple genjutsu. It was this last triumph more than his physcial skill or ability to crinkle the chakra paper that got him accepted into the Suna Academy in the last year he possibly could've been taken. Over joyed at this new development, Haruto kissed his auntie and uncle good-bye before rushing back to the capital to start his true destiny.
The next period in his life was the happiest time he could ever hope for. Haruto wasn't a particularly talented shinobi when it came to ninjutsu, but his natural size and build made him excellent at taijutsu and the combination of his own willpower and perhaps inherited talent from his mother made him fairly decent at defending against genjutsu if not using it for offense so much. Now that the academy is over, Haruto seeks to find a great master to train him so that he might continue on his mission to become a powerful and famous shinobi to bring honor to his unknown name and to the village his mother loved so much.
