Kagari Toshiwakai
Age: 13
Physical Description: Kagari looks like the type you don’t really notice. He looks as though he seems to be just a simple background character. With black hair, brown eyes, it’s hard to stand out in the crowd.
Standing at about 5’0, Kagari is a skinny child, but doesn’t look like as if hasn’t been deprived of his meals. Weighing in at about an average weight for his age, 100 Pounds; his build is rather skinny, with most his muscle definition in his legs and a bit on his arms.
Clothing:
On his school days, he wears an open grey hoodie, with a simple t shirt. He wears dark grey Capri pants, with the trademark ninja open toe shoes. If you don’t catch him at school, then he usually is wearing a shirt and some shorts, and may be caught walking barefooted from place to place.
Mental Description: Kagari is soft spoken. Never drawing attention to himself and hesitant to speak up, he rarely talks to strangers; only to those he knows like his various teachers or mother. When you speak to him, he listens, nods, or sighs. Don’t expect to get anything out of him, his mother quoted, “It’s like pulling teeth”. If you every try ask him about his feelings on anything or how he’s doing he says, “I’m okay”. Kagari sometimes utters the occasional zinger that he finds funny, depending on the situation.
Most times, you may find him, mindlessly staring at someone or trying to catch up on sleep, but he actually is observing the people in the room or those who pass by his window. He observes them, and try to figure out who they are by just staring. And occasionally, dub over their conversations for this fun.
History: Kagari wasn’t born in the Suna but was literally born in the Sand; in the harrowing deserts surrounding Suna. Kagari’s family father and mother were roaming entertainers. Both his parents were minstrels, or bards moving together with a large group of other entertainers. Basically, he was part of a family circus.
Unfortunately, his father; Takeshi didn’t know when to hold his tongue when he needed to, and received a knife to the gut from a drunken man he upset. Kagari was only 9. His mother, Yukari moved them to the Sand, where both she and Takeshi were born. They had enough money to rent a small apartment with some help from close relatives and family friends.
Sometimes it wasn’t easy living in Suna. He was only 9 and his mother knows only how to play a shamisen and sing; job opportunities didn’t exactly open up for the Toshiwakais. After one day, watching shinobi at a festival do demonstration of their abilities; Kagari wanted that. He wanted to be able move that freely, to be able to conjure up magic from his fingertips and mouth. Maybe it was the entertainer in him that wanted it, but he wanted it for various personal reasons.
