Today Kazan found himself training alone, without another eye to witness what had become of him. Many times had Kazan visited this place to train, practice, or just work out in general. Today though, he needed to figure out what had happened to him this time. As he stood there, he he clinched his fist before forming seals and summoning his good friend, and former mentor, Skully. With a blast of white smoke, the old mountain goat appeared. Without Hesitation, Kazan let the questions fly. "Hey, can you sense any natural energy in me?" He asked. As Skully stood there, chewing on what Kazan assumed from grass, the goat just stared at him before giving a reply. "No. Not a single bit of it." Answered Skully, as he turned his head. "You messing with that Sairasu fella again?" He asked Kazan. Clinching his right fist yet again, he looked down towards his feet.
"..... No." He said, letting out a sigh. "This Blue Dragon showed up at the Village's Entrance, and then I went out on a mission and got injured by a weak creature." He told Skully, as he watched him continue to chew the grass he had brought with him. After a moment of silence, Skully spoke his mind. "You should probably avoid Dragons and Demons." Skully suggested, causing Kazan to have a confused look upon his face. However, before he could question it Skully continued. "Think about it. You met a dragon and got strong, then met a demon and lost your power. Then, you meet that demon again and exchange one power for another, only for another dragon to show up... and now you don't have any natural energy. Also something else... can't quite figure it out." He told Kazan, as he continued to think about it.
For the moment, Kazan was just soaking it all in. He was frustrated, and mostly annoyed; things kept changing, and he had no explanation for it. But, he trusted Skullys advise. For the foreseeable future, he'd have to keep his distance from Sairasu and if he spotted a dragon, he'd avoid it at all costs. "Ahhh! Kazan, perform an elemental Ninjutsu!" He screamed. Shocked, Kazan hesitated for a second. "Why?" He questioned himself, before just doing it. Forming handseals, Chakra began to focus towards his throat, as he took a deep breath and performed The "Dragon Fire" Technique. As the flames spewed from his mouth, he instantly noticed the difference. His technique wasn't fire, almost as if it's properties had been stripped from it. Ending the technique, both he and Skully stood in silence. "Bullshit." He said out loud, as he formed the hand seals once again and performed the technique once again. However, the same thing happened once again. The technique was perfect, except it lacked it's elemental properties. "I see." Said Skully, as Kazan's eyes shifted to him.
"Somethings messed up. Try a different element." He told Kazan, as he began to sling several low level elemental ninjutsu techniques. All of which stripped of their elemental properties. With each use, his concern and worries grew. "They seem about the same strength, but they're more like non elemental techniques." He told Kazan, as he immediately questioned Skully. "So whats this mean?" Asked Kazan, as Skully waited to reply for the sake of building up anticipation. "It means you've got some things to figure out." He told him, offering no advise. Not because he didn't want to, but because he couldn't.
For the next few hours, Kazan and Skully would continue to spend time here at the training facility. While it made no sense to him, he eventually came to understand where he was at. By the end of the day, Kazan made a decision. Every time this had happened to him in the past, he had gotten stronger. He wouldn't dwell on this turn of events, but figure out a way to benefit from it. His spirit was far from broken, but now he knew he had to restart his own training from scratch. Things would be different, but as a Sennin he had to make due. A bump in the road wouldn't hold him back; that he'd make sure of.
