Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Even as a child, he was known to roam in the wilderness, even in places that were known as forbidden to their village, mainly the jungle located in the outskirts of their village. Despite the danger of being fatally injured or even a possibility of death, he continued on without a second thought. While many were worried, he would come back everytime he would drop by the jungle.

One curious boy, much younger than he is approached him and asked how he was able to manage. A grin appeared in his face as he told the story:

"There I was, running in the jungle - jumping from one branch to another as a pack of wild animals chased me. I kept running like my life depended on it while at the same time, I felt the surge of excitement and my own blood boiling, keeping me up and going." He started as the boy gazed at him with awe.

"Then I saw an opening, in the very end of the tree line, a temple - covered with moss and dust, with nothing to save me from being devoured by the wild animals, I leapt at small opening inside the temple, a few bruises here and there but I was fine and safe... or so I thought I was. The moment I took my first step in the dark cold ground, I felt the ground sink and dust came out of the mossy walls. A rumble broke the silence as I turned around, I saw a large boulder coming right at me!" He continued as the young boy listening was trembling with fear and excitement.

"I runned as fast as I could, with each step I felt the ground sinking and soon darts were flying left and right. I constantly dodged as I moved forward to the exit, a small little hole that let the light inside. What seemed like seconds to get there felt like hours, but I was still full of life and kicking. Finally, I was a few inches away when I could hear the boulder's rampage just beside my ear. Without a thought, I jumped out of the hole and into the light... and here I am now!" He ended with a smile.

Not all days are sunny for him, there are times that injuries are unavoidable but his trip to the local doctor was something he would treasure in his memories for a long time. Coming into the door with a fractured leg and a few broken ribs. He was basically limping inside the room until he was given a bed to sit on for a moment while waiting for the doctor.

"So... where's doc?" He asked a nurse with a smile but in return, the nurse simple smiled and waved at him, signalling him to wait - or maybe it was goodbye? He couldn't tell.

A few seconds later, the doctor arrived, a beautiful woman with nice curves, all dressed in white. She took a wooden chair and placed it in front of him as she started to look over her notes.

"Such recklessness. Tsk, don't worry though I'll take care of you." She smiled as he grabbed her pen and poked him in his chest, a stinging pain crawled all over his body as he yelped.

Then after the pain, a sudden realization that the doctor never examined his body, not even once and nobody in the clinic actually examined him. He only had to write the problem in a piece of paper and wait for the doctor. Surprised and amazed, the doctor gave a smile.

As the doctor slowly healed him, she gave out lectures about the human body, the weak points and how the body works. He was young, he knew the basics but never thought that the body could be an interesting subject. There were occassions that the doctor would poke with him with her pen and he would feel numb in some parts. But in the end, not only did he recovered but he learned so much about the human body. Something that he'll need in the future to take care of himself.

As he grew up, he knew that his village was a just a smudge in the world, not even worth noting but facing the unknown was something he always wanted. During his travels, he ended up in an isolated mountains, the air was cold and blowing hard that even the slightest misstep would cause his death but still he strive and was able to find a quiet temple, a lone hermit who sat on the temple's doorstep, silently drinking his tea. Something was wrong, unlike where he came from - the place was tranquil, he actually felt warm for the first time in a few hours of climbing the steep mountain.

There, he was greeted by the hermit who introduced himself as a retired shinobi and despite the fact he was keeping himself isolated from the world, the hermit was enjoying himself with some company for what it seems to be, the first time. He spent days in the silent temple, accompanying the old hermit and when he was about to leave, the old hermit offered him another day, but it wasn't for the sake of keeping him there but for training.

The old hermit was a master with whips, made of woven roots of nearby plants and trees. The hermit gave him a whip, worn-out but still durable enough for a fight. Teaching him the basics on how to use the weaponry, it only took him a few minutes to get things right. A natural talent for one could say. Right after learning the basics, the hermit challenged him, a sparring match just to see how he can apply it in an actual fight.

Crackling sounds echoed throughout the mountain, breaking the silence as the two made their way to fight. Exhausted and weak while the hermit was still up and standing. Deep inside, he knew if he were to fail, it would be an insult to the old hermit as this was basically his gift to him for being there with him for a few days. Rising with power, he weaved and moved his own whip with such force and control that one can actually tell that he held the whip for years yet it was his first time.

In the end, the hermit gave his farewell as he made his way back down the mountains, a whip in his hand to protect him from danger.

Being a Treasure Hunter basically means having a clear goal in mind and knowing the path to take. Such things were printed in his mind and never once did it failed him in his quests to find a treasure. But little did he knew that these things that were so natural to him were actually helping him out in things one wouldn't like to get caught.

His natural talent to find the right path, be it a person or a place - he was able to somehow take note of things around him and check for any sudden changes, if not - he would somehow notice things that were not right for the situation. There can be several examples yet all of them followed a simple method and it was unique to him only. While he would be hired for tracking down people, he would sometimes decline since his only goal in mind was to find treasures, not people.

This desire turned into power, especially when competiting with others, he would see things that weren't supposed to be there - illusions, tricks and deceit, each and every single thing was clear to him. Discerning reality from illusions, none of them could trick him and he never failed to see a single one. Although there are some illusions that were too powerful for him, but still - he can see it is wrong and think carefully before doing something he would regret.

Agito was in a fierce fight, overpowered by the sheer amount of numbers, although he has no way to subdue all of them in an instant, he knew that he'll have to do it sooner or later, otherwise he'll be the next corpse beside him. His eyes gazed back and forth, counting his foes and their location. A single radial jutsu would be enough but with such a wide-spread attack would do little to nothing for these elite shinobis.

Closing his eyes, he started to think, gathering his chakra into his hands as he formed a set of seals before dropping to the ground and launching his attack. The clouds above him gathered and darkened, swirling slowly as red lights illuminated the sky. Few seconds after, one by one, his foes started to combust in flames as balls of fire erupted from the sky, scorching the land around him. He knew he could do it but if he ever failed, it would be a mere ashes that would descend to cover his escape.

    • Resorting to Nothing said:
Days has passed and he has always fought with his trusty Zaihou Hiroimono, his steel-coiled whip that allowed him to assault his foes from afar but after one experience, he chose to drop his signature weapon for nothing... for now.

Mid-way in his travel to the Land of Lightning, what he thought was a calm and peaceful day turned into a nightmare that literally scarred him. Passing through the green woods of the land, he could hear the birds chirping and insects buzzing. Unlike others, to him it was tranquil and relaxing. Continuing his travel, he ended up in a clearing in the middle of the forest when all of the sudden, the noise came to a stop. Pure dead silence filled his ears, his own heartbeat serving as the white noise in an attempt to ignore the eerie silence.

All of the sudden, a shadow dropped down from the trees and appeared before him, a rogue shinobi who held a brutishly large cleaver. He knew that one way or another, he'll have to encounter a robber or a killer along his travel but this was way too early for him.

Agito drew out his Zaihou Hiroimono and lashed at the man but he swiftly dodged the attack by stepping aside. Thinking his speed would beat this man, he was sadly mistaken and the man retaliated by a sudden heavy drop on his own weapon, the sheer weight and sharpness of his cleaver struck his whip, cleanly slicing through the whip and rendering him weaponless and with the sudden attack, his whip lashed back at him, earning him a deep scar in his right cheek as the steel coiled rattled on the ground. He could watch as the man charged towards him, shifting his eyes with his now useless weapon.

Dropping the hilt of his weapon, he charged forward as chakra surged into his hand, slowly shifting and turning it into lightning, gathering and extending out from his arm as it formed a sword and with one swift slice, the man dropped cold into the ground. His giant cleaver falling on top of him and making a deep gash in his back. It wasn't his fault anyway. But he knew that he'll have to rely on something else or unless he finds another specialty in the future.
