Physical Description: Yumi is not exactly the traditional little girl most people would expect. She looks up a lot to her older twin so much so that she tries to copy his behavior. She dresses and acts like a tomboy, choosing to wear loose fitting clothes and wearing her hair in a messy short fashion, a green headband adorning her head. She can easily be mistaken for a boy. She usually wears silver and green clothing, an offset of her twins grey and red. She rarely ever wears shoes either, usually just preferring her shorts and short sleeve shirts. Normally she’s always covered in a light dusting of dirt. Her arms and legs are also a bit more toned in terms of muscle mass, despite the rest of her defined slender features matching her feminine form, due to how hard she trains herself. It’s quite a lot for someone whose only 4’1”.
Personality: Yumi acts more like a boy than a girl most of the time, only showing a more vulnerable, girly side when some kind of drastic emotional change occurs in her. In fact, Yumi loves to brag, but get her mad and it’s not likely to be a very good situation. Yumi is tough mannered and shrugs off pain like no other. She wants to prove that she is just as good as a boy if not better. She’s a bit rough around the edges and believes she is great at everything, but she mostly just wants to prove to her big show off of a twin that he has competition. Yumi still loves and highly respects her big brother though and, as such, she copies a lot of his personal behavior. Still, in her own unique way, she can be a bit brash and headstrong. She is a true nature lover at heart, though nothing really beats the love she has for just plain old dirt. She commonly shows affection by hitting people.
History: Yumi is the younger of the Tsubaki Twins. Being born 8 minutes after her older brother Yuki, she is always trying to prove herself as the better. Hence the reason she is the more brash and headstrong of the two on top of being stubborn. This is also a cause of mimicry displayed by the parents’ behaviors. The meeting of their parents is probably the most obvious of their traits. The father, Tsubaki Okotte, was a bit self-absorbed and believed he deserved nothing but the best for himself. He was a Shinobi of the village, a good on at that, until one day he was injured on a mission. As he was taken to the hospital, he complained about how he would only be treated by the Med-Chief. Still, it was only a couple deep cuts and they weren’t life threatening. Ignoring his requests, Okotte was assigned to the care of an average level Med-Nin, Gankona Meinu. Okotte threw a fit about this and had to fight her off in order to get away. Sadly, he underestimated the bullheaded Med-Nin and ended up strapped to the medical table painfully tight so that she could heal him. After being put in his place, the two started to see each other more frequently and eventually grew to love each other. They married after a few years and decided to start a family. The couple planned on only having one child, but the sound of news was one that was quickly accepted.
After the twins were born, they seemed to show great experience in terms of elemental affinities. Yuki nearly set their house on fire as a child. Yumi nearly shook it the ground. Fire and Earth were very close to each twin respectively. This also showed when the twins fought. When Yuki started to walk first, Yumi would shift the earth and make him fall on his face. When Yumi learned to talk and develop her vocabulary first, Yuki heated her food and drinks up so that they would burn her mouth. Still, this fighting isn’t to say that the twins don’t love each other. They are actually extremely close, near inseparable really. For this reason, the twins decided to join the academy together and increase their skills.
