Name: Tsuchimikado Seiko
Bloodline: Tsuchimikado
Age: 13
Physical Description: Seiko is a young lass of average height for her age, reaching up to 5'3. Her most noteable feature is her hair, which tends to be done up into two very long ponytails that nearly touch the ground. Her clothing of choice is usually a kimono.
Mental Description: Seiko is the type of person who prefers to support from the side, providing valuable support but never on the front lines taking the brunt of the offence. She also takes great pride in her proficiency with the abilities that her Tsuchimikado heritage grants her, sometimes to the point of overconfidence which may put her in a bad spot on occasion.
History: Seiko is an only child, born into the Hidden Leaf. She grew up rather normally, playing with other children that were around and the like. Around the age of 5, her father had passed away while he was on an important mission in a foreign land. Seiko took the news relatively well as her mother comforted her by saying that her father was always close by due to her connection with the spiritual world and therefore he would always be watching over her.
Bloodline Application:As long as she could remember, Seiko held a strong sense of respect and admiration for her mother. Her prowess with Onmyodo was a spectacle in the eyes of the young girl and something to strive toward for herself. The way she had erected powerful barriers that stopped attacks in their tracks in order to protect others was especially amazing to behold.
Just as all other Tsuchimikado, Seiko was born with an innate connection to the spiritual world as well as the physical world which meant that as soon as she was old enough, she would immidiately dive head first into the world of Onmyodo which she did with gusto.
Despite possessing the ability to use Ofuda, she was far from proficient at it. Her most troubling deficiency was with the barriers that she admired so much. No matter how much she observed others using techniques, she was never able to emulate them at an even somewhat passable level.
With her frustration reaching it's peak, Seiko's mother went to aid her daughter so that her efforts would hopefully bear fruit and alleviate Seiko's accumulating stress.
"I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I just want to be as good as you are but nothing ever work! I'll show you!" Seiko throw down an Ofuda to the ground, Seiko's mother would never find out what the purpose of it was since it wouldn't even activate at all.
After this display, Seiko's mother motioned for Seiko to sit beside her which she did after a few moments.
"You said that you wanted to as proficient as I am correct?" Seiko nodded, confirming her previous statement.
"While that is very flattering, you shouldn't aim to be like me. Our strength comes from our unique connection to the spiritual world, if you aren't even remembering that connection becuase you are too preoccupied with comparing your abilities to mine, then you essentially have no power at all.
Seiko's facial expression made it clear that she didn't immidiately grasp the full meaning of her mothers words of wisdom or what exactly she should do with them.
"It's fine, just take a few days to rest, perhaps meditate even. Don't bring yourself unneccessary grief." Seiko's mother got up and went to attend to her other duties after dispensing her last words of wisdom.
With nothing left to do, Seiko simply followed her mothers advice for the next week, focusing on their unique clans unique connection. Once a week passed, Seiko tried her hand once again with the Ofuda and found success.
With her newfound perspective, Seiko was now ready to move forward as a shinobi.
