Character Description: Standing at an even 5'5", Dante is, although not short, by no means a giant of any kind. His dark hair and eyes accentuate a reasonably handsome face, while he'd never claim to be the 'prettiest of the pretty boys' he is almost certainly above average. Under normal circumstances he is almost always smiling or laughing, he enjoys a good joke or a friendly game, and generally takes a very easygoing and laid-back approach to his everyday life. He makes sure to do his work, but overall he doesn't stress to hard if something goes wrong. However, during a fight Dante's personality shifts somewhat noticeably; while not truly berserk (at least, most of the time... anything that actually angers him enough to 'see red' usually ends poorly, for both himself and the provoker) he takes on a fierce, aggressive tone and is not above shouting at an opponent until they're too afraid to fight (this has the added result of attracting more attention to him in combat, a benefit for him as he'd rather take injuries himself since he's trained himself to survive harsh conditions) and resorting to a deadly combination of autobolter barrages and precision blade strikes if his foes refuse to back down.
His favorite outfit consists of a complete BDU ensemble including a sleeveless shirt, jacket, tactical pants, and leather boots. He's comfortable wearing it both in and out of combat and typically only wears other clothing for special occasions.
... he has also been rumored to have a favorite, bright pink t-shirt. Unconfirmed rumors, but still. Dude. Pink.
Character History: Dante was born into the fairly mundane (well, for someone growing up in a Hidden Village) existence of the younger son of a couple of academy professors. From an early age Dante developed a fond attachment to the Kumo's Main Branch, and especially the Aurora Eruditio. As soon as he taught himself to read Dante started reading any ninjutsu scroll he could find/borrow/'temporarily relocate with honest intent to return at a later date', even before he entered the academy Dante had managed to tutor himself the the most basic lessons of shinobi life as well as a fairly decent amount of history and lore. Dante joined the academy as soon as he was able, and despite being somewhat 'unfocused' at times eventually passed his Genin exam with flying colors; while at the academy Dante started to learn about his own strengths and weaknesses, his fine chakra control was average at best, but he was durable and seemed to have a natural affinity with many different types of weapons, a good trait for a front line combatant.
Once he passed his Genin exam, Dante took a bit of a 'vacation' from progressing in his shinobi career, instead choosing to round out his education by turning his focus back to history, as well as the arts and sciences. His success varied somewhat, he was fairly decent in history, and natural sciences held his interest quite well, his artistic ability left something to be desired (although he managed to pick up some music theory with the help of a tutor). Satisfied with his increased scope of knowledge, Dante started focusing on his shinobi career again, eventually he was able to competently perform in low-level security missions and similar light combat duty. He was, slowly yet steadily, earning his promotion to Chuunin.
Unfortunately, personal tragedy provided a setback in Dante's life. Right before Dante's fifteenth birthday his father was killed in an unfortunate carriage accident, Dante was riding as a passenger at the time. While Dante appears to have taken this unfortunate development in stride, he has (understandably) been less active in mission duty for the past year.
He's starting to pick himself back up, with any luck he'll pass his Chuunin exam before the year is out. But only time will tell.
