Character Age: 14

Character's Physical Description:
Height: 5'4"
Weight: 120lbs (Slightly thinner side of average for height)
Eye: Vermilion
Hair: Dark Blue
Body Type: Lithe
The dark blue haired teenage Tsubaki does not appear especially remarkable compaired to her peers. Standing a few inches taller and few muscle fibers weaker, the girl has never seen battle or conflict, facts reflected in her less than average muscle mass. She can lift her youngest brother without too much difficulty, but compared to the lowliest of shinobi in the village, who can swing swords larger than they are with ease, she is practically feeble. Her skin is fair of complexion and smooth, but like most teenagers it is far from flawless. Small cuts often appear on her hands and fingers from dealith with sharp thorns or other 'deadly' troubles that botanists have to suffer through.
A trait that is not noticeable at first glance is that the otherwise sociable girl rarely speaks. Even with her family her voice is rarely heard, as the unfortunate reasons quickly come to light as she tries. Suffering from spasmodic dysphonia, Tsubaki has a very difficult time talking to people. Despite her best efforts, or perhaps because of them, her voice comes out in a stuttery deep whisper which would easily give the mistaken impression that she was of a sub-par intelligence, to put it nicely. Due to this she has learned to communicate in her day to day life using sign language or the written word.
Character's Mental Description:
The eldest child and only female child of her parents, Tsubaki is exceptionally easy to be around if a person accepts her communication limitations. She almost is always giving people a smile or a friendly gesture as she actively seeks to kep those around her in small ways, if only due to a subconscious desire to be accepted and wanted. She has a curious streak about her that she seemed to have inherited from her father and the need for adventure and new experiences from her mother. All of these traits combine into a young woman who had an ingrained need to help others, even if her help is not always wanted or needed. Combined with her creativity she often has less than typical solutions for problems she encounters, even if there are more logical options that could be accomplished with less risk or chance for failure.
Multiple Personality Application: N/A
Character History:
Born to Sayuri and Kazuki in a smaller village far to the north east of Wind Country, Tsubaki came from a very solid and happy home of botanists. Her family often did not stay in the same location for more than a year or two, as was practically traditional for most of the clan. They were not exactly nomadic, but opportunities came and rose and there were always exotic locations with unique flora that always seemed to draw the family onwards. For better or for ill, Tsubaki was exposed to all manner of people over the years and the ever changing nature of their travels fostered her adventurous and inquisitive nature that had manifested itself since before she could walk on her own.
Nothing had seemed amiss in the little girl's life until two years after her first brother was born. Around the age of six, the child began having increasing difficulty in talking with others. She found it hard to speak clearly and loudly without the words stuttering in her throat. It was only a minor inconvenience at first, on that they thought would pass, but two years later she had all but stopped speaking to anyone outside of her immediately family, at least vocally. She quickly picked up on sign language in their travels and her parents eagerly encouraged her to try and rekindle the girl's ability to socialize. By the time her second brother was born, at the age of ten, Tsubaki was as comfortable with sign language as any child her age was at speaking.
While this did help for her to communicate with her family, she still felt ostracised by her peers as they travelled around the continent. Despite her friendly and compassionate nature, she found it difficult to befriend more than one or two others. Though through random acts of kindness or more bold gestures of friendship she did make learn that the best way to get people to want to be with her was to make them happy. It was far from ideal and the fact that she had to earn people's favour never set well with her on a subconscious level did bother her, but that was the price of casual and fleeting friendship for the girl and she learned to accept it.
It was a year after her brother was born when the nightmares came. Over the course of three months persistent nightmares plagues her almost every night. They ranged from fears of losing her family, irrational tragic events, ostracism by her peers and so on. No matter what herbal or local remedies her parents tried, Tsubaki thrashed and awoke screaming almost every single night. She was exhausted each and every day, and could barely function in day to day life. By the end of the third month she could barely get herself out of bed due to exhaustion, though she was terrified of sleeping. Her oldest brother was scared to pieces for his sister and her parents were desperate.
The details are barely recollected by Tsubaki, but one day a hunched back elderly man with his face obscured by a dark hood, who stood barely half of her father's height, visited their home and offered a cure. The promises were as bold, the solution was vague and the cost was perplexing. He only asked for a single coin and their promise to never speak of receiving his assistance He left them for a day to decide if they wanted his help, and at noon the next day he returned to hear their answer. Reluctant, but desperate, they agreed and the man went back to Tsubaki's bedroom and forbid any of them from venturing back there for the rest of the hour, they agreed.
The house had been silent, aside from the one year old child's sounds of protest and random glee. Hesitant, her father went back to check on the man and his daughter after over one and one half hours passed only to find that his daughter was laying in the bed sleeping with no sign of the man to be found. There were no windows and they had kept a close watch on the door, and so it was impossible for them to have missed his departure. They were momentarily shocked by his disappearance, but the soft sound of Tsubaki snoring washed that all away as her two parents stared at the soundly sleeping girl.
Ever since that night, Tsubaki has not had a single nightmare or even a single dream at all that she could remember. at least of her own. For the next few months she slowly recovered her strength, but each morning she awoke feeling as if she had not slept at all with a feeling that could only be described as hunger. The dreams she had were ones she heard others speak of in passing, and as time went by she became more and more curious. By the age of thirteen she had begun being able to walk lucidly in the dreams, to explore and interact with the environment as she saw fit. Even so, she next revealed any of this to her family, fearing it would only worry them further. It was after all much better than what she had suffered for those months.
Over the last year her skills in what she called, dream walking, had grown quite proficient. In these dreams she was not bound by reality. She could talk as normal as any other person. She was strong and quick, but not inhumanly so. Most noteworthy was that she figured out what that gnawing hunger that plauged her every morning, nightmares. She still is unable to explain it fully, but somehow she is able to traverse into the dreams and nightmares of others and... eat them. It usually involved helping the dreamer to the point that the nightmare subsided, in which she somehow was able to consume it, the act of which invigorated her to no expressable bounds.
She observed that this act seemed to make people forget the nightmares that tormented their dreams, and it somehow made them stop returning each night. Most importantly, when she did this she would awake the next morning feeling as if it was the best day of her life. Refreshed and rejuvinated far beyond anything she had in the past few years. It was intoxicating. Ever since then she has taken to hunting down these nightmares each night, complled to eat them. She tells herself that she is doing this to help others, to free them from fears, worries and suffering. This is true, but the reward she gets from doing so pushed her onwards much more strongly than any altruistic desire.
During her days she acts as normal as she ever had. Trying to make friends, help her family and to secretly learn more about what happened to her over a year ago. She doubt she would ever reveal what she is capable of to others. They sometimes remember her in their dreams, but seeing familiar and unfamiliar faces is common enough that she doesn't concern herself about it. On days that she doesn't find any... food, she usually awakes to that gnawing hunger and that drained sensation. Her week long travel across the desert to her new home in Sunagakure was spent in an almost constant state of malaise from this, with only a dozen people nearby finding sustenance was difficult...
While she has not yet spoken to her parents of this, she hopes to be able to join the shinobi academy in Sunagakure soon after her arrival. Like any commoner, she had heard tales of what shinobi were capable of and if there was any place that she could learn more about this gift of hers. She still does not know how she is going to accomplish this, or if the academy would even allow her entrance, but such concerns have never stopped her before and she was not about to let them start now.
((Not sure if the stuff mentioned in the above needs to be applied for as a CRPJ or not. Let me know if so and so I can fill in the other parts needed for it... and what exactly those would be xD))

Clan Info: Hired to assist in the beautification of Project Rebirth. In certain circles, the Koizumi clan is well known for its ability to work 'miracles' in the field of botany. The clan is distantly related to the Yamanaka clan many generations back, but split off for unknown reasons. Yamanaka capabilities are a rarity in children of the clan, and even when they present themselves they are never invested into. Currently the clan consists of less than a dozen separate families, but their relative obscurity and lack of desire to fight has kept the size of the clan relatively consistant over the decades.
