剛 かずお [Tsuyoshi Kazuo, Age 14]
Physical Description:
Kazuo is a white-haired young man of some stature, tall and showing some minor muscle development. He's got a bit of an angular face and bright yellow eyes, along with a small button nose. He doesn't keep up with appearances much-- his hair is almost always a mess of silver and his clothes frequently have tears in them. He wears half of a short kimono robe as a coat, covering his right side but revealing the left, and as such the strap to his white flak jacket. This kimono is secured by a thick belt with various pouches attached to it containing ninja tools. For an undershirt he wears a simple grey short-sleeve shirt, and grey shorts to cover his legs down to the knee. His Kumogakure forehead protector is actually worn as an armband on his uncovered side, and he wears steel-bottomed birch wood geta as footwear.
Mental Description:
Kazuo, despite becoming a shinobi and being accepted into the Tsuyoshi residence, is still a dirty peasant boy at heart. He has no use for manners or honor, arriving late to events, forgetting to take his shoes off when he enters a home, being informal with his superiors, etc. Not that he's a bad person, in fact he's actually quite kind and its very easy for him to get along with others and find common ground, as long as they don't disparage his upbringing, clan or parents. While he enjoys helping others out as a shinobi, he has no respect for the establishments that pump them out, or the government in general. He also doesn't particularly like clans other than Tsuyoshi due to believing they led to his clan's poor reputation.
History:
Kazuo was born to a young couple on the bottom rungs of society. A simple fisher named Ichirou and his wife Kasumi. Though occasionally they had to skip meals, the three loved each other very much. Though neither Ichirou nor his wife Kasumi could use Chakra, it seemed their son could, and so the CPSS eventually found him at age 11. Ichirou and Kasumi did not want to give their son away, but Kazuo could be purchased for a high price, and the two would never have to worry about money again. With much convincing from their son, the parents eventually did let Kazuo go, partly because he wanted to help others by becoming a shinobi, and partly because they knew he'd be stolen away from them no matter what. Not wanting their child to be all alone, Kasumi revealed she, and by extension Ichirou, were part of a clan called the Tsuyoshi. Though they had left as they assumed Kazuo couldn't use Chakra like the both of them, and wanted to live a stress free simple life, Tsuyoshi residence was still open to them, and him.
During his time in the Academy, Kazuo was helped routinely by the Tsuyoshi's, developing the thirst for battle a shinobi needs to survive. Though he wasn't the best in his class, and in the beginning hated the strenuous training, the support of the Tsuyoshi's provided helped him keep up. While Kazuo has made time to come and visit his parents (often against the academy's wishes) he has also grown to really value himself as a part of the Tsuyoshi clan, and wears their kanji with pride. Now that he's graduated, he aims to begin helping people that can't help themselves around Kumogakure.
