Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.
Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.
Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.
The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.
Shion was fast asleep on the back of Nyr who kept walking around, yet they kept walking around in circles and riddles. At one point throughout the night Shion woke up, timezones did different here and it was safe to say he had a jetlagg. "Still nothing huh bud.." He patted the side of the contract which would halt in his steps. "Sorry, the scent is too distorted." Shion would nod before he would glide off from the beast's back.
He stood on his own legs before he would give the summon time off. In sand, he learned that he cough up blood the cause of the curse damage on his throat and which would always remain because of the long extended damage and him being back to talking. "I wonder..." eventually he started to mark a few trees so he knew he wasn't walking further in circles. Yet the longer it went on the more he started to lose patience. A few breaths is what he took to regain, at least controlling his anger or rather outbursts in a controlled environment went a lot better than it used to be.
Yet at one point he did get annoyed and his demonic aura seemed to be leaking, yet he never did even notice that he was as close by as a few kilometers run to the casino. "I wish I knew the way... I f**** knew I wish the way." He started to scold and speak out of the blue toward no one in particular.

[Tutored by Yamanaka Nobu]
Nobu sat on the top of a building, it seemed like today would be one of his days off and he finally had time to consider things, the wind blowing gently it seemed that everything was on the up and up before he noticed that faint aura, it caught him quickly after all he knew what darkness felt like, he had given himself to it, his eyes widened slightly as he recognized part of it. Standing up he jumped across the rooftops as he looked at the groups moving below, his eyes drawing upon a familiar sight as he dropped down behind them. Standing up fully he turned his attention to that person, clearly recognizing them.
"Well seems you did come home, even if you couldn't control that.....erosion that you are letting trail everywhere. Come we need to talk since last time, and sort out whatever is wrong with you, something that strong will be seen and spotted sooner rather than later, and we don't want that to happen."
With that, he gestured toward Shion to follow him as he spun o his heels and walked down the back streets, twisting and turning the whole way this place was laid out was a maze, designed to get those that followed lost in it, and he had every right to be suspicious of it, after all, it wasn't friendly to anyone these days that walked in the darkness. Finally arriving at a metal door he slid it open and stepped inside an empty warehouse, nothing around and no one inside, waiting for Shion to enter behind him he would slam the door shut. At least this way they would not be disturbed and he could see what the actual issue was to resolve it.
"So what is going on and what do we need to fix then? Your return was unexpected as we lost each other in Sand, so just making sure nothing has changed too much in regards to that"
Out of frustration, Shion kicked the ground and some dust went p. He was safe to say annoyed that he had lost his way once more and had been walking in circles for a good while.
A familiar voice however let him halt his steps. "That... sounded." Before he would finish his sentence the redhaired already turned around. "Nobu! What are you a sight to behold!" He was, to say the least, very happy that there was someone he knew after all the walking he had been doing.
"Erosion..?" He wondered what the other meant with it and would start to follow Nobu who began to walk. "Ah-... That has been happening for a while now. At some times the nails are like claws... I figured it is because of the demonic curse that I hold. The Demonic Ancestory curse." He said and would start to step in. The door closed and echoéd a little inside. "Before you will hit me around... Quite a lot happened... and I managed to make a base of operation inside Suna... It's a bar, I also got the book with me. But make sure to read it while sitting warm... Only then do the words reveal." He would hand over a logbook from finances. If a person without knowledge of Shion's Custom jutsu would turn in. They would see a regular finance book from the bar itself. All single pages, never written on both sides of a page. Yet if Nobu would honor the requirements of Shion's Justus and read it by the warmth of have heat near. He would see everything else that had been going on.
"As for the curse... After I kept training, that thing kept getting stronger too..." he would say but didn't mention the curse seal; he really meant the curse that he had gotten when he was just a boy.
Nobu stood in the warehouse, it was empty almost and he had to consider his options, looking towards Shion he knew full well that they would have to do something about this, he raised an eye listening to his words overall a quick sum up on everything and even the fact that he brough the book with him regarding the ledger for the new bar, this was something that he would have to look into. Turning his attention back to the member of the clan was something that was more important right now, as he pondered a reply he knew full well what needed to be done about this.
"So Shion, the question then becomes what are you going to do about this, or what do you want to do about this I guess is what is going to happen new, we can remove everything strip power and put you back to square one.. or we leave you and see what happens, however that decision is yours. I can help either way but I cannot make that option for you unfortantly, that is something you are going to have to do on your own."
Nobu looked towards Shion, this would be a hard choice and one that he was truthful about, he could not make the decision for him. but he would support him instead, after all they were family in a weird and absurd way, and the suffering of one would mean the suffering of everyone in that family, well at least that is the way that he viwed it from his point of view. Silence lingered a bit to long for his liking as he waited to see what would be happening between the two of them today. Nobu never would admit but this dysfunctional family was his family to the core.
He was glad that Nobu took the book from him and hoped that Nobu would understand his little hint regarding the lemon writings.
"Well... I have already tried a lot of things. I even sparred against Akuma and saw how big of a difference it is... He did say I had a lot of potential..." He spoke a bit hesitant but he would straighten his back. "I guess... It is just going to be the case. This is something I have no control over. It reacts towards my emotions, and trust me. I even attempted Yoga, needle therapy, running on a mill for hours to get me calm, and another kind of things. But it also seems to trigger my emotions a lot more. Nyr has been able to keep it a lot more under the radar." He would praise his contract in that regard, but even he knew it was bad news.
"I hate to ask this of you... But if you have any idea or way... I am more than willing to try it. Sometimes it even is like there is another me." He would sigh loud and you could actually see that he had been going on with this for a long while. "I don't want to cause harm for our family, in any way that is possible. It already interfered with the mission in the sand. I got pretty badly wounded on my spine... It healed well and it didn't affect anything in my chakra. I even let a medical person check that out, and a Hyuuga. Since I was worried also with the gates of sin that I bear. But luckily that went all fine."
He would undo a part of his clothing to show the scarring on his lower back and spine. It had been close, but at least he was still around and present for it.
Listening to Shion speak he allowed a small smirk to escape his lips, his studying had allowed him to have an understanding of all things to do with bloodlines, and the body, leading up to the point of even being able to bring back the dead so to speak, but that wasn't important right now as Shion was still alive for now. Walking over to what seemed to be a bookshelf in the room, he pulled out a few books, turned a few levers, and hit a few buttons all in a quick pattern so that the fellow clan member wouldn't be able to keep up with what he was doing.
As the bookshelf slid away, vile, containers and liquid glasses came sliding out as he looked at each of them, studying a few notes and not really speaking to Shion too much as he contemplated a few answers. He grabbed one of them and nodded, before grabbing an empty jar, walking back over to Shion he placed them on the ground and ran a finger across the scare looking at it closely he smirked slightly to himself as he knew that he had no idea what was going to come his way.
"Let's just take something out and force something back in, after all, I will stip you of your bloodline, the pain will be well frankly horrendous but at least I told you the truth"
Before Shion could reply the dagger was up in his hand, and into his back, no need for anesthetic, no drugs, pain, and suffering was the way to do this and he knew it. Removing the dagger, he kicked Shion in the back of his legs, dropping him to his knees, the pitter-patter of blood being heard echoing around the room. Pulling the dagger away he pinned his family member in place with his hand pressing on the shoulder, without warning he plunged his hand into the wound, digging around looking for something, the feeling would be....unpleasant for the recipient to say the least.
"I know it's here somewhere, just got to find it, after all, I think that removing this will......ah there you are"
Grabbing something, he found the thing he wanted, a mutation considered by some, a legacy by others, part of the core of a person, well in this case an ancestry for Shion, it was bigger than normal. Pondering he would grip it, and with one move he slammed his body into Shion while pulling at the mutation, ripping it free from muscle, and internal body working as his hand came out of the wound he knew the pain would be excruciating, but he would replace and reseal, rebuild this person into someone who would do the work of the Clan with exceptional abilities.
"Now I know this won't comfort you, but I do feel sorry doing this to you, however, I am going to hold onto this, and replace it, a part taken is a part replaced, for now just......well just bare the pain please while I put this away"
Speaking he opened up a clean container and popped the mutation into it, doing the lid back up before beginning to open the new jar up, Shion's replacement powers...
As he was done speaking, he saw Nobu start to turn around towards the bookshelf. "Hmm..?" He was curious, yet at the same moment, he started having a gut feeling. "Why do I feel like I somewhat start to regret this moment..." He thought towards himself and tried to keep watch as to what the other had been doing. He seemed to turn levers, buttons, and what, not more. Soon Shion couldn't follow what the other was doing and started to shrug a little. "You sure got a lot around here." He would try to see what else he had got around, but at that moment he saw Nobu pick up a glass jar. "What are you even going to do with that jar..." He muttered and would start to eye Nobu from the corner of his eye. "What do you mean... force something and in.? and pain... Is this one of that training agai-" Before he could even finish the sentence before he could even react to what he saw.
A sharp pain, followed by a thud on the ground. Shion gasped for air yet felt at the same time that only strengthen the pain. When one was talking of fight or flight instinct. Shion always has been a fighter, he didn't freeze and his pain tolerance was always higher than average due to their history. Yet Nobu seemed to know exactly what to do and with quick precision. He was falling to the ground after getting kicked in the back of his knees.. He could hear how the blood was quickly reaching for the ground and flowing out of his body. His body was already searching for a position to let it less hurt.
His muscles were in agony along with his body being tense from the feeling. The throbbing in his back; the then heat following up for his mind. Everything was just happening so fast. Shion tries twisting and turning to look to nobu to figure out what exactly was happening to him but at eevery twist of his neck, it sent ripples of pa from his back to his houlders and neck. Preventing him from providing much of a reaction besides a scream of anguish.
Internally he could already notice it. The voice that was always with him, seemed to be screaming too. It seemed to be in agony too of this. The fighting mechanism was still present when Nobu was pulling on it. His body reacted to it by attempting to get into his ultimate ability; Form of the Demon. A horn had grown and on one hand, the black fingers with claws were there. His eyes white had turned black and his pupil's crimson red. This surely was something already. Hagged movements were made but in a very failed attempt to get Nobu away from the sore open wound.
As Nobu pulled it loose; you could see the body react almost immediately, the horn started to recede. The black eye that ha formed started to bleed, and then shifted back to normal leaving a stream of red blood from his eyes. His claws became human fingers again and the demonic aura faded into nothing. On the ground, Shion almost couldn't take it anymore. His breathing became ragged and heavy. His body remained tense and muscles here or there started to protest. His teeth clenched and clattered uncontrollably making any thoughts or word impossible to escape his mouth. Nothing came to his mind even as Nobu was trying to speak to him. A part of Shion was begging for a knockout, yet something still kept him here even with his vision that was out of whack.
The mass that Nobu had pulled out was not just his Demonic Ancestory, but it also held the markings of his gate of sins. It was the reason it already seemed to be bigger than usual, but it still wouldn't be everything to explain. Moments passed but he didn't know how long it had already been seconds? Minutes? Hours? At this point, he had lost track of everything and attempted every time to get over the pain levels. Yet he surely felt weaker than usual; as if indeed something was missing right now.
But not all changes were psychological for Shion; there were also some physical changes. His hair started to darken up as if the mutation had more effect than just the powers. But his eyes started to change slightly color too, but also seemed to cloud up a little too. Which made Shion panic slightly on top of all the pain; for him, it almost seemed like the dark spots were growing. Slowly his hand got to move a bit till it was in front of his face. Fear was creeping in further; you could read the fear settling on his face.

Nobu, grabbed the content from the other jar, being honest with himself this wasn't exactly what he would call science, but it would work for now after all nothing in this world was perfect. Even when it came to things like this he knew full well that it wasn't something that he could just get on with and move on from without a second glance. Reaching into the other jar he smirked to himself as he looked at it for a few seconds before ramming it into the wound, letting his chakra flow he grafted it to the muscle inside of the open wound without saying a word.
"Truth be told, I don't know what will happen, how it will mutate, but for now that is down to how your body will react Shion, to be frank, I have done what you asked, and let's see what happens. Pain is just being human, we suffer, we get on, this pain might be unbearable now but soon you will get used to it, use it, let it become part of you, and learn to live with it. For that will make you stronger alone, I have done everything I can, the rest will be down to you."
Removing his hand, he allowed himself to press the palm onto the wound, the chakra flowing to the hand, as it darkened turned, and trained through Nobu's body, the Dark Sage let the scribing slowly start to ink into the man's back as the wound shrunk closed, the power that he imbued into the boy was something he would have to come to learn to live with, once applied this was hard to remove but the curse that he gave was also a gift, as with the power that came with it was an opportunity, he wondered if Shion would recognize this for what it was.

[DS Curse Seal Given]
For the first few moments, Nobu's body was still, almost like a corpse. All color and energy faded from his skin. In truth, he was out cold. Regaining his senses slowly his eyes widened, remembering instantly all of the pain and anguish from the before he had gone still. Frightened but adamant at staying alive he tightened his muscles but quickly relented as the pain merely increased however this gave him time to recover even if it was a little bit. Across whole body jittered with the feeling of static noise. Adrenaline was still high in his veins prompting him to continuously test his muscle, feeling the spasming of them every few seconds which caused him to lay there panting, trying to get air in as much as possible. His eyes slowly went to the corner as he heard Nobu speak. Some of the words were actually reaching his brain at this point.
Nobu was placing something back into him and the pushing of that; made him whimper shortly before he gritted his teeth once more. He wasn't expecting his return would result in something like this. He closed his eyes, fearing the darkness that was growing in his field of vision. Yet as he did; he felt himself suddenly slip away as something warmth was coming over the wound.
Unknowingly, the truth of what Nobu was doing to him was placing a cursed seal on his back, resulting in his perception of time being disoriented, a cold stab that started as a pin prick spread throughout his whole back, over his shoulders and as it hit each muscle group on his arms and legs they went numb and limp. He had passed out at this point in time; his body too exhausted from what had happened. His hair became red-brown as his body was slowly adjusted to the power that had been placed inside of him. His mind raced like, and he felt himself fading in and out of consciousness never properly waking or able to express any sentiment to the sensation wracking across his body.
After a few minutes, his mind relapsed, another sting now hitting his heart pushing him so far that his lungs collapsed and he gasped for air. His whole body felt sore, which was confirmed even further as he tried to adjust his arm, but realized the limpness persisted it was like he was armless but his arms and legs ached still, so in his subconscious, he knew it wasn't the case. and yet his body ached and screamed for him to stay still. Trying to ascertain the situation, turning his head was almost like his neck's muscles pushed back from fully turning. it hurt as he tried to push through, alas he relented taking another deep breath and halted in his attempts of movement that he had been doing. Fear was rising within him. Yet with how silent it was inside; he couldn't see anything. He panicked, the realization of his vision having darkened so deeply was disheartening to him. He tried to see where he could be; but no matter where he looked he couldn't see anything but darkness. "Nobu?!" He called out as he feared for the loss of vision. But just as he did that it was like a ripple that came across his eyes he saw something, yet as the place grew silent it was gone again.
This made the gears in his head spin more and while he moved; he felt his body ache once more. "No no no no... I need to push now. I am refusing to be a weak lamb.." he let a sob; he never felt this pathetic in life ever. He was scared to say the least and there was no answering him. There was no one else besides him. Shion tried the breathing exercise he had learned from Nobu a long time back. He tried his best to calm himself in the moment of fear. His breathing was staggering yet slowly started to seem like it got more steady. His head was clearing up from the fog at least a little bit. 'This place echoes... Which means... If I try the same as I did before.'"Hello?!" He called out and as expected the area echoéd and made ripples to see for him. He saw for a brief moment where a door handle was; where the walls were. But as the echo stopped; so did his vision. Tears formed back in his eyes and he had to process this for a moment. In his mind, he was scolding and calling himself pathetic. Probably even harder on himself than was actually needed.
He forced himself into a sitting position. His hands started to feel over his lower back. The place was sore for sure, but it didn't seem to be an open wound anymore. A couple of breaths were taken once more, forming seals and summoning his trust companion Aki. Aki came with a poof yet unlike his usual cheery and happy self; he remained serious. "What happened..? " Aki asked and Shion smiled weakly. "Keep... talking.." He said soft as Aki wasn't quick in understanding, yet the warlock did was he was asked. "So... erm... My day has been quite something." He started to talk about what he did in the other realm.
It didn't matter as to what Aki was talking about at this moment, it seemed to soothe Shion as he saw the surroundings with it. Eventually he felt rested up enough that he tried standing up. Yet with everything that he did he wobbled. "Not enough yet..." He muttered soft and would take a step, almost fall over but Aki catched him. "A new dark seal... this one seems stronger." He replied as he pointed out to the marking on Shions back and the tattoo on his arm. A weak grin got to Shions face. "He did..." He sighed and would sit down on a chair. "Aki... What am I looking like..?"
Aki would ponder for a moment to try to find the words to say. "Your eyes surely are different. They almost became hexagon-shaped irises and very bright. Not sure if you can or can't adjust that... but erm... Your hair seems to have some browns in of it now, not just full ginger." Aki started to also claim that he didn't seem so small anymore; also because of the fact that his clothing didn't really fit him that well. "I... grew..?" Shion sounded dumbfounded but another voice answered one not from Aki. "I would say you are 1.70-ish now. Not the small one you used to be!" It sounded chippy and the sound of claws could almost be heard on a pipe. "T-that doesn't sound right..."
A flutter sound sounded and wind passed Shion. "W-where?!" HE couldn't see it exactly. Aki just followed it with his visions. "It's... an owl." He muttered as he could see the spirit. You almost could hear a snicker coming from the owl. "ho-ho-hoot." It laughed as both of the guys got goosebumps going up their spines. "Aki... Weren't owls the most sound-less of everything." On which Aki nodded but forgot Shion couldn't see. "e-h yes! Sorry. Out of habbit I nodded.""Aki!""It's new!""For the both of us!" Shion snapped at his yokai which just started to laugh about the scene, but moments later if flew past again. "Where are you?!" He sounded as it disturbed Shion. He couldn't see it move.
"You are an interesting sort.. What say you? Care for a little test? And perhaps if you succeed I may permit a bond to be created between us?" The bird chirped on top of the pipes again like child lording over the rest of the kids in the kindergarten. "W-aht..." "Find me! If you are able to! For then I will bond with you." It sounded all to good. "I already got two contracts!" He replied after a moment of consideration. He didn't like the fact that he would have to abandon any of the other two. "There are always more options than one to follow!" She hooted and flew past once more but this time so close; that Shion jumped and yelped making him flinch and drop to the floor hitting his knees hard still uncertain on his feet and knees.
Shion sat down confused. "You have to find me on your own; while no one speaks. Even your little contract may not speak. Noises are allowed. But can you find me with just that..?" Shion swallowed thickly on the last comment. He only turned blind like what. 5 minutes? 10 minutes? He honestly had been losing track since he couldn't spot it anymore. "Tsk..." It annoyed him, he wanted a smoke, a whiskey, drink himself to a stupor, wake up and hope this was all just a bad dream. As annoyed as he was; he still agreed to the creature. "Sure... sure.." He wouldn't be losing his headache any time soon for sure...
It all became so silent; you could easily hear a needle drop. "Let's start... now..." The owl sounded and would fly away from the position where it had been. Shion in the meanwhile used medical jutsu to heal up some of the body aches while he would start to move around. Pok. That was the end of the table on his leg. A flinch was given and he knew that it would be another bruise. The owl, however, never thought it would find him anymore and remained on a single spot; not moving anymore. It was just a moment of time when Shion had to outsmart the bird.
' No sounds... No sounds are allowed. Or... wait. Let me think back. No one speaks... so sounds are allowed. But I am not allowed to make words.' A water droplet fell which made a small echo through the room. Shion simply had to focus in an attempt to find it. Try to locate the sounds around him, and make more use of them. ' I guess... both Nobu and this thing are trying to teach me a thing or two...'
Shion eventually sat down on the ground; he was going to do this a bit differently. If the owl thought it was so wise... then he just had to be smarter. They weren't allowed to use speech but they were allowed to use chakra. Shion was luckily good at communicating with Aki, just a glance at each other was good enough. Aki made a nod and would form a few handseals. Eventually, the air around Aki started to vibrate and the sonic vibrations clashed against each other. But it was more than enough for Shion to 'see' where the spirit was hidden. ' for real... the exact table I stumbled upon...' He had to be fair; it was something he didn't think about at first. But he did walk to the spirit and reached out. "Soft.." For his idea, he thought he would pass right through the feathered friend but that didn't seem to be the case.
"Funky..." The owl made a coughing sound a moment later, almost as if it was announcing to say something. "I have to say; that was a rather smart use of ninjutsu there. Luckily you already had a summon out. Which was my bad in overseeing... Or my poor words in choice." The owl spoke but would keep its word. "Now let me properly introduce myself; I am Yoni, the sound spirit. I took the form of an owl since they are sound-less when flying." It explained itself before flying up again. Since they were speaking, Shion could keep following it. "Since you passed my test... You are now the correct vessel. You... will be my jinchuriki..." It said before flying into Shion's chest.
For Shion, it felt like he got pushed back and hit the ground once more. "A-t-." He flinched and would curl up. It was strange, really strange from what everything had been transpiring.

The minimum word count for a kinjutsu application is 1500 words. However there is no maximum word requirement, but you are reminded that you must thoroughly explain exactly how and why it was obtained. You may do this in a single post, or a series of posts, or a series of topics, just be sure to link to everything that you want to be included as part of your Kinjutsu application, and when necessary, explain exactly how that leads up to the moment you obtained the Kinjutsu. Nobu looked towards the other clan member, it was clear that he would be suffering, the pain would be unbearable, the changes unknown yet even to him. His eyes never moved as he watched the boy, his body twitched, his mind would be where the fight was really taking place, even he knew that/ He wanted to know what he was hearing, seeing, tasting he wanted that knowledge that information. He wanted all of it that knowledge fulled him, it fed him in some ways that he would hate to admit, but he really didn't mind he knew full well that everything he would do now he could discuss later.
"Shion, come find me when this has settled, when you are ready to do so, not before. I will catch you later hopefully you don't disappoint with these changes, I would hate for them to kill you, or at worst weaken you from the clan's needs"
With that Nobu spun on his heels and left the building, leaving the silence, darkness, and cold to engulf Shion. His work had been done and he had made sure that he kept his end of the deal, the question now was what state the boy would come back in.
