It was amazing that for every powerful individual there was an equal and even more powerful object in existance. The ice adept shinobi mused over this as she walked circles about the frozen Al-Haquish in search of a weakness in the frozen shell. Fingers graced over the crags and crannies, looking for the smallest imperfection and finding none. This was definitely not chakra made but rather appeared to come from an older knowledge, perhaps even stemmed from the magicks that Shade had told her about in Sousuke’s hospital room. It was beyond human comprehension that such a flawless creation should exist but here it was and it was her job to destroy it.
A shame too, having to destroy something so beautiful.
Warmth would glow from the woman's palms as beads of cool water would begin to roll down from thin air, collecting and turning into streams that gradually began to eat away at the pristine sculpture, eroding the ice around the staff until the carved head began to poke through. With each successive torrent of water more of the artifact would be exposed until the encasing had been melted away from the whole of the staff and around Al-Haquish’s clenched fist that held tight to the relic. Unsure how the staff worked, Yume would keep her mind free from thought as she would hum a tune that reminded her of spring time and gently warm the mystic’s hand with her own, using the old fashioned method of friction rather than jutsu. One by one his metatarsals would give way and let the careful Mednin retrieve the dangerous item, deftly wrapping it in a blanket to keep it from making contact with her skin and binding it with twine. Resting it to the side, she would take the man’s exposed wrist between her thumb and two fingers to take his pulse. Counting out 15 seconds she would grimace. It was slow but strong and constant. If she were to thaw him too quickly he could go into shock. Taking up the staff, she would bow to Al-Haquish and reassure him that she would return, before departing into the caves and heading back toward the village proper.
I will return with help and a cart. It would be best to deice you slowly and for that I will need to transport you to the hospital so that I may supervise your recovery. As for this beautiful artifact… I will place it in Keystone Prime under lock and key for you to retrieve or destroy as you see fit.
