Note: I had another character planned before deciding on this one (hence the name) but this is the first character made on this sub account.
Name: Uchiha Kuroko
Age: 12
Physical Description: Kuroko stands at 5'2" roughly an inch below average for his age. His stature is not uncommon for a Genin of Konohagakure, a slim yet semi-toned physique is a product of the shinobi lifestyle that he has been born into and thoroughly educated in.
Black hair is one of the trademarks of the Uchiha clan, Kuroko is slightly different in this regard; for whatever reason the tips of his hair lighten into almost blonde points, though the boy sees this as an advantage. After all, the less you look like your clan, the more surprised opponents may be with your abilities. His uncharacteristic grey-blue eyes gaze out from just under two curtains of blonde tipped hair that reach down to just above his brow, framing his porcelain skinned face and often unimpressed expression, though on occasion this could be replaced with a jeering thin-lipped smirk if whatever has just happened is satisfyingly entertaining enough.
A sleeveless black top covers the boy's torso, leaving both long arms exposed to the elements. Cloth wrappings supplement the lack of a sleeve on his right arm, much like many who have some capability in Taijutsu - though the left arm is bare with only a fingerless glove for protection. On closer inspection, the exposed skin around Kuroko's hands and forearms are rough with miniscule scars that sit in a lattice of reminders with past sharp encounters.
Separating the Uchiha's torso from his legs is a cream and black striped sash that loops around his waist several times, concealing most of the boy's belt held equipment. In truth only two pieces of equipment are visible on his form apart from his fresh Konoha headband. A small pouch of kunai and shuriken is strapped tightly to his right leg over loose navy blue trousers. It rests about ten inches above the tops of the boy's armoured boots that reach up to his shins.
The only other distinguishing feature of the boy's appearance is the brown leather sash that loops over his left shoulder to support the large sheath on his back. It normally carries the enormous bladed fan that Kuroko uses as both a weapon and training aid.
Mental Description:
Kuroko is a pretty regular young shinobi, his time both inside and outside of the academy have demonstrated nothing particularly against the norm in regard to his mental state.
If there is one characteristic that defines the Uchiha, it would be his hubris. It's safe to say that the boy is a planner and strategist at heart, aiming to think several steps ahead of anyone he might come across. In truth it is almost second nature for him to do so, and he finds it difficult to accept when others can't keep up with his lines of thinking. Eager to pick out flaws in the thought processes of others, Kurkoko can come across as rather condescending and rude frequently; and of course he means every word of it, tough love would be an accurate description as long as the love was omitted. Kuroko isn't one to try hard to make friends, nor is he one to show much respect for anyone that has shown themselves to be less mentally able than himself. Though, should someone prove themselves to the boy, then the respect and trust to be gained is everlasting.
There are occasions however where the boy's imagination takes over, these are the points where his planning nature takes a turn for the obscure. Sure each strategy is rather effective but they can also be outlandish. This trait of in depth thinking also shines through when the boy is under increased pressure. However, such situations tend to produce plans that go in circles as Kuroko attempts to anticipate every move and countermove an opponent can make. It is safe to say that when things aren't going well the Uchiha finds himself frustratingly paralysed in strategic inaction.
History:
Being the younger of two brothers, one would imagine that Kuroko felt pressure to live up to the standards that his elder sibling had been setting, and at first it looked that way. As an infant the boy always wandered around trying to copy his brother in everything he did, not necessarily successfully but that was never a bother. In fact, Kuroko had a rather easy young childhood, he was coddled by both his parents and watched out for by his brother, there wasn't really anything that was a threat to his youthful enjoyment, until education came into the picture.
With the age difference of Kuroko and his sibling being only 13 months, by the time it was suitable to start education at home both children were taught together. In a sense Kuroko started homeschooling before his peers would have even been considered for any sort of education. Yet despite this earlier than encouraged start, Kuroko matched his brother's capability. Slowly, over time, his clear affinity for academia and mental challenges grew. It grew to the point that his studies bypassed the level that his brother was working on.
Clearly a level of frustration grew for the elder of the pair. This simmering annoyance erupted into full on anger one evening while the two boys were outside playing. Kuroko had always been more gifted mentally, but physically his skills were not as developed. A short tussle ended up with the younger boy being thrown into the family fishpond. So struck by this sudden burst of violence that the now bruised, beaten, and soaking boy's eyes glowed red. He hadn't expected this, and in truth the sadness of betrayal by the person he thought cared most for his safety pierced his heart. Safe to say that from that day Kuroko embraced his ability and swore he'd gain more control over his reality. Quite something for a six year old at the time.
The academy was not a particular challenge for the boy, he memorised most pieces of information that were given to him and his classmates. Acing tests became common practice, and with the frequency of high grades came an untouchable attitude. Kuroko was the best in class, and he knew it. His teachers knew it too, but they also knew that his inability to stay humble impeded his readiness to move on from the academy. As such he remained with his regular class group until their assigned exam time. Safe to say he passed, but only thanks to the fact the singular strategy he could think of involved the input of his fellow team members.
Not much time has passed since the exam took place. And now, with his shining new headband ready, Kuroko ends out into the world to make something of himself.
