Uchiha Nanashi
Age: 8
Affiliation: Konohagakure no sato
Rank: Genin
History:
Nanashi is the adopted son of Takeshi - the leaf's anbu head, and current leader of the uchiha clan. Six months before his birth, his biological father, Hayate - a formidable jounin dubbed "The Shadow of the Leaf" was called into action in a bid to protect the village. There in his service, an important mission in the Fire Country Civil War was taken on, resulting in a fierce battle which ultimately claimed his life before his son got to know of him. His mother Tsunami - a non uchiha, in the course of grieving over her intended became acrimonious towards the village and it's ninja system.
Born into the major family, he enrolled into the ninja academy at age 5 with the help of his grandfather. In spite of the fact that he started out as a weakling, he soon showed great potential days after learning of Hayate's reputation. In time, he was driven by the ardent desire to become a more skilled shinobi than his father was; his mind became preoccupied with the idea of power which caused him to be reclused in class as he believed training solo without the need of friends (distractions as he often called them) would serve him well in his purpose.
Before long he proved to be the standout of his class, consistently getting top grades to the astonishment of many. His mother was by no means pleased with his progress. Rather than support his exceptional talent, she often expressed her disapproval over his impatient and strong desire for power, for fear of watching him wind up dead like his father. Having completely given to his purpose without expressing any doubt, he weighed her words with little reason, ultimately proving too difficult to be dissuaded; death he saw as something anyone was incapable of avoiding, and it didn't matter to him how long he lived inasmuch as he was able to establish his name as the greatest ninja ever to walk the leaf. When his mother proved equally difficult to reason with, he grew separated from her and though his love for her never waned, he spent most of his time far away from home mastering every form of ninja art he had come across. Some days he stayed up late in the training ground in sessions organised to teach himself high classed techniques. Other days he opted to remain in training over home in order to achieve his goal. In time Nanashi's absence brought about a deep depression upon his mother which led to her being ill.
Graduating from the academy top of class at age 7, Nanashi got to find out the truth over his father's death from the last hours of his mother's life. It is revealed that his father was poisoned before the conflict began. His unforeseeable death - a result of his fearsome reputation. Notwithstanding his devitalized state, he chose to serve the village with his life rather than cross it during the war; the same conflict which was whispered to be initiated by a deceased higher up in the leaf's council. After realizing the bitter truth behind his father's end, he was filled with regret and he became a sad and angry boy with little hope or optimism. He grew up increasingly irrational in his judgement, faulting the village heads for the deaths of his parents. Overwhelmed with the guilt of his mother's passing, he abandoned his initial pursuit of strength and power and set his eyes on a solitary life outside the country as he couldn't bear seeing himself in the village he no longer respected.
Bloodline:- During his time as a wanderer, he came across Inari; an orphaned boy and his animal companion - a sheep he (Inari) named Pochi. Both boys were obverse in nature but in time their disimilar views caused them to become best friends and they formed a brother-like bond, monkeying off places together. One rainy day while they were being rowdy, Pochi was stolen by the ravenous jounin ranked rogue ninja, Akane. When Inari rushed in to rescue Pochi, Akane threw him into a river. In pursuit of his best friend from behind, Nanashi witnessed Inari drown, resulting in him awakening his sharingan. Unaware of his new found power, Nanashi rushed in with rage in an attempt to assail the rogue ninja over the life of his friend but with his rusty skills he was quickly overwhelmed by Akane who had his face slashed with a throwing knife. Luckily, the hunter ninja Takeshi saved him from sudden death killing off Akane. Affected with expressive grief, Nanashi in his rage was reminded of his initial goal and he vowed to become a great ninja once more to honour his and Inari's dream. In time he became close to the hunter ninja Takeshi and quickly grew to love him like the father he never had. Affirming with his desire for greatness, Takeshi adopted him as his own.
