Uchiha Ryo vs Rakutsu Hayasa [Round 1 - Student Tournament]

The roar of the crowd could be heard in the distance it was clear that they were getting hyped to witness the fight that would be taking place shortly. As cheers and whoops could be heard echoing around the stadium it would be the fighters turn to rock up and make sure they were prepared to enter in the arena. It was clear that the time had come to step in front of the crowd and prove themselves in that few seconds that they had. This could change their lives for ever and it could see them spotted by a specific branch and they could even be elected to join if they were lucky.

“We would like to welcome the entrance of our new fighters. Give them a huge cheer as they prepare to enter into the arena!”

The announcers voice would echo around the arena as the crowd would grow louder in that split second. It was clear that they were all craving to see the new participants enter and begin their fight it was clear that they were desperate to see what would come of this fight and wanted to see who would be going onto the next round.

With the representatives from each branch checking out the fighters it would be down to them to enter this fight. At each gate there would be done of the ANBU each of them trained to identify the fighter that would come to their gate and make sure that they were the correct person before even opening the gates. With the announcement made each of the ANBU would open the gates and allow the competition to see their first sights at what they would be fighting in.

At the gates opened they would be able to see a massive grass area that was open to the crowd, there was thousands of people staring at the two combatants as they waited to see what was happening in this situation. Some of them peaked over the edge to get a better look at the combatant and even some of them would mutter between themselves as coins passed between hands as bets were placed from what they could see in that first second.

There would be the referee in the middle of the arena waiting for the participate to come to the middle before speaking to them. His words quick and soft as he spoke to both deciding to keep it brief and keep to the rules of the arena that had been set out by the organisers of this tournament.

“I want you all to keep this a clean fight, nothing to make this problematic. Remember that you must win by KO that is the only place that you can win this fight. Good luck and let’s keep this simple”

That was the only words that were offered to each fighter before they would be given the signal to begin it was now clear. This was the student’s time to prove themselves worthy in the eyes of everyone watching. They had to make sure that they took this opportunity that was given to them and grabbed it by the hands.

Arriving at the the gate to the arena, he could see the ANBU waiting for him to identify himself, looking at them with a smile he announced his name to them. His anticipation could barely be restricted as the gate slowly opened, he could see the light shining through the small opening, he thought about his opponent, was he strong, what type of jutsu did he use, all of these thoughts flooded his head. As Ryo stepped into the arena he turned his head upwards and looked in awe at the crowd of people that had gathered there. Ryo could see up in the stands that to what seemed to him was all of Konoha.

Ryo turned to his opponent and smirked. He was ready to prove himself, ready to show everything he had learned up to this point. He was ready to put it to the test. Hearing the roar of the crowd as he stood there made him feel as if he was on top of the world, there was no place he would rather be right now. “I’m as ready as I can ever be.” he looked at Hayasa with a glint of determination in his eyes.

 

[Uchiha Rakutsu]

Rakutsu made his way through the gates passing by the ANBU who was stationed as a guard for the event. He couldn't stall anyone as his name was called for his own match to start. After entering the arena, he finally registered the great number of people which filled the stands along with their booming cheers towards the two students about to fight. He would be lying if he said it didn't make him nervous. This whole thing was nerve racking.

This was a moment where people would define him for his preformance in the tournament. He didn't expect anyone to take something like this so seriously since academy students weren't very strong, but almost the entire village was here watching. It just told him how serious he needed to be in order to gain any semblance of respect from his peers.

Rakutsu released a sigh trying to calm himself down before shifting his gaze to his opponent. "Right. Don't go easy on me." He smiled ready for the fight.

The battle had started Ryo was staring intensely at Rakutsu. Ryo smiled as he heard the crowd cheering for them to start their battle. He thought for a moment and wondered if he had ever met him, but nothing came to mind. He was a stranger, this unknown enemy would be a challenge for Ryo.

As they announced for the battle to start, Ryo moved quickly moved into position entering his Fire Style. As he saw Rakutsu equip his Katana, Ryo was quick to make hand signs casting a genjutsu on Rakutsu, which he noticed took effect on his opponent. Smirking, He noticed that Rakutsu was charging him. he quickly dodged the first attack but as several seconds passed he was soon hit by an Arcing Slash. Ryo then turned to where the the Rakutsu had struck him with his blade, he felt strange as if something had entered his body. Something was on that blade but it hasn’t taken effect yet. Looking at the where the poison had entered it must’ve been one that was applied through injury. Ryo looking at the back at Rakutsu, he planned his next move.

Rakutsu had completely blocked out the crowd at this point. His main and only focus was his peer in front of him as they were set to duel. He recognized the boy's surname to be Uchiha. One of the most important clans of the village. To think he would go up againest a member of the elite clan so soon was a bit nerve wracking, but he can't let this get to him.

Rakutsu went on the offensive drawing his blade with lighting speed. His first slash missed his mark, but his second attack, the arcing slash met it's Mark causing the boy to smirk. After his brief assault, he jumped back putting distance between the two. He noticed that Ryo's movements and stance didn't get hindered by the poison on his blade. It must not have taken effect. He probably should have gotten more training with poison instead of just reading books.

Rakutsu kept his guard up while planning his next move.

Ryo smiled for a mere moment. He had made his choices win or lose he was ready. He closed his eyes for a split second and once he opened them there could be no mistake he had activated his Sharingan, Two tomoe were seen in his eyes, showing that he had been developing it. As he opened it he could see that his opponent Rakutsu also had the Sharingan. “He’s an Uchiha.” his opponent appeared to be a bigger challenge than he originally thought. He saw Rakutsu perform an action but not he could not see what he had done.

Inhaling deeply Ryo blew out a fireball, which was larger and seemed stronger. Ryo was quick to see that Rakutsu was only partially hit. Gritting his teeth, he wanted a full hit. As he fumed he could see that Rakutsu had assumed the same stance he did. Of course he is an Uchiha after all. No matter it was time to move on to his next attack, looking at Rakutsu through his eyes, Ryo casted a Genjutsu at the his opponent. Actually having to face an actually opponent was exhilarating. This is what he wanted to face combatants in battle, not be buried in books at the academy. He was confident he could win against his opponent, all those hours of training, going to class weren’t for nothing. Smirking, he looked directly at Rakusu still maintaining his stance, Ryo was ready to continue, ready for any move his opponent was about to make.

It looks like he didn't have a choice. If he wanted to have any chance at winning than he needed to go all out. The young boy's eyes were closed for a moment before reopening them showing their new appearance. A single tomoe was in each of his eyes showing his now activated sharigan. He saw that Ryo activated his, but his had two tomoe unlike his own. This meant that they were more developed than his own.

For a moment, he felt off before he regained his composure. Rakutsu than cast a genjutsu through his eyes at Ryo before taking the same stance he was.

In the heat of battle, nowhere else he’d rather be, right now. He waited for Rakutsu to make a move, he quickly saw swift handsigns, immediately after he felt that he was in a field of lightning, realizing that he had no time to waste Ryo swiftly turned his gaze to the first bolt that headed his way, when he saw it felt as it was moving slowly at him, he quickly moved out in the process avoided a second one that was right behind him. But he got too cocky and was struck in the back the second he landed. As he lifted himself to recover he was quick to notice another but by the time Ryo realized it was going to miss him regardless, he missed the behind it that struck him.

Ryo fell on one knee for as the lightning field dissipated. He quickly used this time to catch his breath. Rakutsu was a strong opponent that was for sure, He was an Uchiha like him, he had the Sharingan like he did not as developed but it was still formidable. Taking a moment to decide what he was going to do. he quickly made some handseals, and to Rakutsu it appeared that Ryo went from one to three.

 

[Uchiha Rakutsu]

It was time to try a different tactic out for a change. After weaving a few hand seals lighting started to crackle trapping the fellow clansman in a field of lighting. The next few moments weren't as planned, but it was still progress on his part.

His eyes narrowed as Ryo created two clones hiding his place among them. This gave him a idea.

Ryo started by taking the initiative, he quickly ran up to Rakutsu. Ryo was quick to perform the handseals after finishing them he inhaled quickly and exhaled a small burst of fire at Rakutsu which he managed to dodge in the nick of time. Quickly stepping back, Ryo saw Rakutsu swing around, smirking when he saw that only his clones were struck, and were unaffected.

As soon as the clones were dispersed, he kneeled, quickly to think out his actions. Ryo looked directly at Rakutsu, Ryo contemplated what jutsu he would use, he needed one that does enough damage to bring him down this round or next, smirking. Standing up after thinking out his actions, Ryo made his move. He quickly ran in range of Rakutsu and quickly made handseals. Ryo inhaled deeply accumulating charka in his chest, and released a Blazing Fireball at Rakutsu. He smiled with satisfaction that the fireball had hit it’s mark. Breathing heavily he waited for his opponents next move.

 

[Uchiha Rakutsu]

Rakutsu was keeping himself on one knee a good distance from Ryo. He took deep breaths showing he was getting tired and he looked scratched up and beaten up from the attacks Ryo dealt him. With his sword supporting him, he climbed back on both of his feet as he looked over to his opponent deactivating his sharigan. "I forfeit the match." He said shifting his gaze to the referee watching over the match. "My chakra is low and I'm nearing my endurance's limit. I don't stand a chance at this point."

Ryo turned to look at Rakutsu, he was ready to anything that was thrown at him. He watched as Rakutsu picked himself, they were both beaten up from each others attacks. Panting, Ryo stood up, preparing to some handsigns, only to hear Rakutsu announce that he was forfeiting from the fight. His eyes widen he couldn’t believe what he heard, “You’re going to quit?” Ryo frowned in disappointment, he never expected his first opponent to forfeit, he expected a fight to the end. Hearing the reasoning behind why he quit, Ryo sighed, and nodded “You put up a good fight regardless, I’m sure the next we fight you’ll win.” He offered a friendly smile to Rakutsu.
