Description: Umu’s outter appearance is one of choice as she is capable of changing shells much like that of the Molluscan class Gastropoda or Snail for short. You see, Umu is no longer human in terms of biology but falls more so in the realm of Artificial Intelligence (AI). She exists in a complex spherical container no more than 11cm in diameter which contains both an AI coded chip and a artificial replica of the original Umu’s Microtubules which was scanned from her brain along with the quantum light particles ever fluctuating within. This is her brain, heart and soul and is transferable to applicable Shells (artificial body) created for the means of housing her. Her Shell of choice is usually a green or of light color long hair, with colored eyes, 5’7” and slender.

History: With dreams of becoming a shinobi Hitomi spent the majority of her life in bed until the age of 17. Hitomi later died due to a rare genetic disorder which imprisoned her mind within her own body. Her father, who knew Hitomi’s time was limited, worked tirelessly on project code name U.M.U in order to fog the thoughts of his dying daughter. In fact, he spent little time with her during Hitomi’s time in ailment. With no possible cure for Hitomi’s degerative disorder, little could be done aside from prolonging the inevitable. Dr. Umezawa, an autistic and renowned physicist, wasn’t equipped to handle the day to day trauma of seeing his daughter’s life fade. So Dr. Umezawa, started project U.M.U. when Hitomi was only eight, just two years after she fell ill. Project U.M.U. also known as Ultra Mechanized Unit, was a top secret government funded project in which Dr. Umezawa and his team were to create a fully functional, self piloting, humanized mechanical weapon that could think, blend, and destroy as needed. This would revolutionize warfare and replace the need for a shinobi fighting force. Dr. Umezawa had other plans in its creation. Using all available resources and unlimited funding, Dr. Umezawa set forth a scheme to save his daughter’s life. Dr. Umezawa began to boarder the line of insanity as he spent countless hours in years of his research to link mind and soul to an artificial body. His research lead him to dark science where ethics and morality had been forsaken. The kidnapping of children from orphanages were overlooked by his superiors granted that the ends of human experimentation, justified the means. However, non but Dr. Umezawa knew of the true goal to his unethical endeavors. Dr. Umezawa eventually learned that within the microtubules of the brain’s nerve cells, light particle exists in a state of indeterminism and fluctuates according to the probability theory. He discovered that a collection of these particles is what comprises the human consciousness. He then created a device called a Hex Sphere which is capable of recording the spin and Vecta of each photon within the microtubules and storing it within the Hex Sphere. The Hex Sphere was only 11 cm in diameter and housed a decoder chip capable of translating the information recorded into a form readable by computers. After obtaining a blue print of Hitomi’s soul, Dr. Umezawa escaped with the U.M.U. project and finished his work in seclusion. Hitomi later died in the years to follow alone. Umu was brought online several years later and fully functional. That day artificial life was born using the late Hitomi’s soul print. Her memories, her dreams, her desires were all intact... but just like before, her mind was trapped but this time in an artificial body. She couldn’t taste, she could smell, or feel. She gained the ability of mobility but had lost the majority of the senses that gave life pleasure. These were things Dr. Umezawa had not counted for. Umu began her new life seeking out the one dream possible within this hellish new life. Umu, attuned to easily to shinobi skills and abilities due to the help of her creator via modifications, downloading and processing information. This wasn’t at all how she had imagined her life as a shinobi. She wanted to grow up in a village, make friends, have strengths, weaknesses, successes, failures... Umu, much like Hitomi desired a normal life. But unlike Hitomi, Umu soon began to harbor resentment for her creator and life in general. She’d curse her existence and those that exist before her as jealousy and rage corrupted her programming. She found solace in those things non living, puppets, statues but not the dead. She hated and envied the dead as they laid there so peacefully. Even her creator seemed to be at peace once she ripped a hole into him. So peaceful as if dreaming. This would not do. Not for Umu. Using her creators technology, Umu copied and used Dr. Umezawa’s soul print and made him into a Hex Sphere. A non living thing like her that simply exist in hell like she does. He was now a thing like her who couldn’t feel the warmth of the sun, the kiss of a lover, or the savory sweet taste of a red apple. No those pleasures were lost forever and for once in her whole existence, Umu felt comfort. She wasn’t alone anymore and she realized that the hole in her heart could be filled with others like her. So Umu embarked on a dark quest to change the world.
