Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The village hidden in the sand was very secretive and for good reason. Shinobi generally weren't "good" by nature, persay, owing to the very nature of their existence and how much of their work involved operating from the shadows, often concerning the permanent elimination of targets. Suna Shinobi, as with everything in the land of wind, seemed much darker however, likely owing to the dangerous upbringing necessary to survive in such a brutal environment. So many towns outside of the walls were filled with monsters of the human variety and outside of those towns, many non-human monsters existed. Of course, the environment was an ever present killer as well.

So, it would only make sense that people weren't exactly willing to give up information. Of course, she could use force, but it seemed necessary to keep a calm head while in the sight of the village. It went against everything she knew, but survival was the only true rule she followed. Survival and vengeance which required patience seeing how dangerous her true target was. He wasn't something she could just eliminate and leave to the desert.

However, she did happen upon some intel about the Casino which seemed promising. It certainly felt out of place, in its own way, but such scum would certainly flock to it. There was a bouncer out front and she hid in the shadows, looking upon the entrance and trying to process whether or not to take him out and stage and outright bloody carnival on the place later on or just do some general scoping for the moment. The latter seemed the most prudent as she cautiously began to approach. She wasn't wearing her traditional ninja garb, opting for a plain, unassuming outfit that neither reeked of poverty nor stood amongst the upper crust. Not that it mattered due to her general appearance which garnered more than enough attention as she continued her approach with a peaceful smile softly tugging at the edges of her lips.

Things have surely been…hectic since he came back…All the important people vanishing, the ongoing Sennin games, and just in general adapting to the situation. Including letting some…potentially dangerous people operate a lot more openly. One of them Being Mirroku Akkuma.

In all the years he had operated, Harupia never really did cross paths with him. With all the invasions, strange creature attacks, and how own unfortunate tendency to get lost outside of the village wall, combined with the secretive nature of the missing nin that made Suna his long-time habitat just made it not to be. But there were a lot of rumblings and rumors about him… And Harupia spent a lot of time mingling with the crowds to gather as much information as he could. Though he knew at some point gossip just wouldn’t get him much far.

He did find out there was one place that was more or less confirmed to be connected to him. A Casino in the red-light district. Going through the streets of the old underground city was a bittersweet experience…remembering the good and the bad tied to them. He also managed to notice some curious glances cast on his side, though it seemed no one was interested in approaching. He was well dressed for the occasion, a black vest with a red shirt under it, matching dark pants, some gold bands on his arms and around his neck. He was hoping to stand out a bit, if only to get the attention of the people managing the casino.

An yet, as it often seemed to do, fate decided to pull a small prank on him. As he approached the entrance of the establishment there was someone ahead of him. A strikingly tall woman with long blond hair and… particularly pale skin. Well, maybe he could be the second most interesting person inside. Joking thoughts aside he approached the bouncer a moment after her asking “Good evening. Are the doors open for new players wanting to push their luck?”

Akari pondered the building, it's structure, the type of clientele that frequented the location. She thought what would be best to infiltrate it to scope it out. Of course, it was a casino so it was likely she wasn't exactly allowed inside, accounting for her actual age, though due to her height, her unnatural appearance, even a smile could be turned into a weapon able to coerce fear and intimidation in others, should she so desire. It was not her height, strength, steal, or even jutsu that was her greatest weapon. It was her smile. She would maintain that statement to her grave and beyond.

However, her age aside, she didn't really have any doubt about getting in, whether through the front door or some other method. She was an ANBU. And though she was just "in training", she was confident enough that her skills were on par with a full ANBU even before she had joined the academy, particularly with her ability to work in stealth. Naturally, Akkuma being the owner, if the rumors were to be believed, it would be heavily fortified, but he had yet to find out that she was the one leaving bodies in his lair, so she didn't really feel worry was justified. Though the possibility did remain that he didn't care, but she chose to believe in her own skills either way.

She pondered for a moment more before someone approached. He seemed....relatively attractive, the first thing that she noticed as he spoke to her with a question. She turned around and smiled, tilting her head with a finger on her cheek. "That is the question, isn't it? The guards sure do seem intimidating, don't they? I'm almost afraid to approach, though I would love to see what it looks like on the inside..." Akari replied in a soft, unassuming and almost deceptively weak voice.
