"What in the world is this..."
He was in a state of being awestruck. He had never seen such a sight as peculiar or bizarre as this, and he believed he had seen several weird things in his lifetime.
"Why does such a thing exist? How does such a thing exist?"
Before him was a vast body of water. It was apparently called the "Undersea" but he did not know much past that name. In fact, just hearing the name, which is what originally sent him on the journey to explore it, caused him to believe it was some sort of tall tell where the descriptive name was misleading. He half expected to appear before a pound or puddle, or even some cruel joke of a dried-up and vanished oasis. Instead, the name was literal. It was honest and straightforward.
"Did a kid name this?"
His judgment on the creativity might have been harsh, but the fact that this place did truly exist might have caught the first explorers of it to simply call it like they saw it, it was sea under the ground. Yet, he wasn't satisfied with just knowing that it now existed. A part of him thirsted to know more.
"Wait... there is a library, right? The Oracles... maybe that is who... or where... I can find more information on this place."
He had spent some time understanding himself, he had spent time understanding the nuances of integrating into society, but now he wanted to turn his attention to better understanding the village itself, and then move on to the country and finally the world at large.
Having never seen such a large amount of water before, however, he just wanted to take a moment and look out into the blue abyss...
