Character's Physical Description: Despite the progress to try and break the curse, Kiri only managed to age a couple of years, and now resides in a 7-year old’s body. As such, he is rather scrawny, especially when wearing his white dogi and hakama pants, secured by a couple layers of black and gray obis. He retains his preference for traditional clothing, including the geta-like sandals he wears, though he does use a pair of white tabi socks. He has a layered white crop of hair, short fringes at the front, and slightly longer at the back. He has golden eyes though upon closer inspection, one would see a small red orb on his forehead that has a similarly green pupil, which the site of the third eye implant he received. Always wearing a white cloak, complete with the hood up, he sometimes find it funny to be mistaken as a ghost, especially as he is also naturally pale. When fighting and upon activation of his curse, he grows in years, turning into his rightful age, thus carrying the same basic features, but having a more muscle-toned body, and his once wide-eye childlike face would turn into a more cunning and serious expression.
Character's Mental Description: After finally coming into terms with his true self and discovering the truth of his birth and lineage, Kiri has felt that he has been released from a long persecution and burden. This actually allows him to be more cheerful now and optimistic. He is also quite eager to get stronger with his newfound power, as well as making a difference to the various people he had met in his life. There would be times when he would feel sad from having to tear his ideals of soul-materialization for the sake of his brother’s, Hogosha’s and Yakujou’s soul, but knows that he could still enter his soulscape to find them there. More importantly, he now thinks its time to finally find his true self in the sense of learning to live life without having to consider the curses that afflicted him in the past, as well as the haunting memories of his childhood.

What is Limbo Training?
This is the training that you would have gotten if you did not move on to your new character's life. Your caps are determined by your rebirthed stats. You must keep a record of your stats gained during limbo in your OCR thread. You may NOT request for an automatic rank up should you find that your new stats allow you to upgrade. Limbo training is only for people who have died in modded combat or suicide. Anyone whose character has not died is still capable of RPing that character until their OCR is finalized, and thus can train as normal.

Gentle footsteps echoed as he walked along the white laden ground. He didn’t know where he was, yet, he felt the need to be there. And before he knew it, Kiri realized he had slipped into his soulscape. Did he mean for it? Was it an accident? Or was he being too much of an airhead again that he lost focus and somehow stumbled? In fact, as he stopped on his walk, he realized he couldn’t remember where he was prior. And glancing about him all he could see the wide white void that he knew was his soulscape. It was endless and so he wondered for how long he had planned to be walking aimlessly in the first place. That was, until, he felt a presence nearby.
He paused on his tracks as he turned to face the unknown entity, finding a woman with long blonde hair. Her face was familiar but he couldn’t catch a name. When the woman didn’t seem to want to move, Kiri took it upon himself to approach her, and in each passing step, he found the world growing bigger and bigger. He stopped just before her and looked down at his hands. Just as he thought, his body had become that of a child’s. Then a sudden realization came over him– that currently, in the real world, he did possess a child’s body. That was the reason why his consciousness always jumped in between realms now, and that sometimes he was not in control of his own emotions. So he wondered, is the woman before him someone from his childhood.
Eyes widened at the sensation that engulfs his heart and prompts Kiri to lunge towards her and embrace her tightly. In response, the woman held him tightly, a hand placed on his head and holding his head close to her chest. No words were needed to explain this meeting for he just felt like he just needs to be there, to be like this, and that things would be okay. Not even his uttered word, “Mother…” would make a difference for he simply wanted to bathe in the memory.
As ephemeral as it felt, it was flitting. Soon, he felt like the warmth was fading and as he opened his eyes, the woman’s body slowly dispersed into a flicker of lights. Leaving him sent a wave of sadness rushing into his heart and yet, he understood what it was. This was the very scene he saw that time he was given a choice to live on. When he was on the verge of death, when Kahako came to save him in his crumbling soulscape, he saw this woman there protecting him. It was one final goodbye, a farewell they couldn’t share back then, but now, could. And it left him heartbroken that he couldn’t stop the welling of his emotions, bursting into a loud cry as he sat there alone.
He cursed. He grew angry. And he pitied himself. When the void was silence was more, nothing more than soft sobs left, he remembered a recent memory. That time he played with Osu’s twins, that board game gave an ominous premonition– that he would have to let go in order to find the freedom that he had long been yearning for. But freedom from what? Was he tied down? Was he always in chains? Why did he need to search for such freedom?
“I’ve found you, Kiri,” said a voice and upon looking up, Kiri saw Yakujou’s ever gentle smile as he dropped down to kneel in front of Kiri. “You’ve been moving around so much and this soulscape of yours have been changing ever since that day the curse has changed your body. To say that it is connected to both your body and consciousness would be precise, but also not. But I’m glad I’ve finally found you.”
“Yakujou, I don’t know anymore,” said Kiri as he stifled a cry.
“It’s okay, we’re here. We’re always here,” Yakujou reached out to pick up Kiri. Strange how it seemed all too simple. It was almost as if he didn’t weigh a thing and yet it felt so good and warm in his arms that Kiri didn’t want to separate. “I promised that I’d protect and guide you always, didn’t I? No matter what time, no matter what place, no matter what you think, I will be here.”
“Yakujou… I think I just remembered someone important to me, but I don’t know. I can’t remember her, but I know she mattered a lot to me,” Kiri began to cry, pressing his head at the other’s shoulder. “I’m scared. I may have to forget you too. My brother, Eishin. And Hogosha. I’m scared, but it feels as though that’s what I need to do. But I don’t want to.”
“There, there.”
For a while, all Kiri could feel was Yakujou’s gentle patting on his head. He knew they were moving, the latter was walking while he was being carried. He didn’t want to know, so he kept his eyes shut and just allowed himself to feel the embrace. Lately, he’d been wanting more. Lately, he’d been yearning for any physical contact with those he cherished that he didn’t want it to end. If this was a dream, he didn’t want to wake up. If this was his world inside his soulscape, he didn’t want to return to life again. This was enough, if he would be allowed.
“Listen, Kiri, there’s more to life that you’ve been stopping yourself from. I know it was difficult because of your past, but you should never think you owe us anything, nor that you don’t deserve to live your own life,” said Yakujou as they began to walk across snow-covered grounds. Kiri wiped his tears as he looked up to the see small rays of moonlight flashing through the canopies of towering trees while a small amount of snow fell so freely. It touched his cheek and melted so fast, yet at where it landed, he felt a kind of sadness in the cold kiss.
“I’m fine like this, Yakujou,” he answered defiantly.
“Don’t be stubborn now. Be a little more selfish for your sake. We don’t want you to sacrifice everything for our sake.”
“But it’s not like that. I do want to-“
“No, Kiri. We know,” said Yakujou as they reached the end of the path that opened to a frozen lake surrounded by trees. Here, the moonlight shown unblocked and its light dazzled across on the surface of the frozen lake. It was serene, turning the place into an immaculate white sanctuary. Kiri knew where it was– that special place that linked the ancient forest to the surreal world of the spirits.
Yakujou would lower Kiri to the ground and pat his head lovingly. “We’re really thankful for all that you’ve done for us. But it’s time to do something for you. To be honest, we didn't think it would be like this, but the recent changes in your soul and chakra had finally began the recollection and reshaping of your real soul. We know, we felt his presence in your soulscape. He has always been there and you’ve only thought of him as a figure to represent us. But in truth, he is really you. And this time around, he wants to save your current self from this predicament. The curse that was bestowed on you by your friend, though innocent it was, was corrupted by the unstable chakra in your body, forcing your body to change into a child’s, deteriorating even your soul. In order to stop it, he decided, and we all– me, Hogosha and Eishin– agreed that you shouldn’t hide from yourself any longer. Hasegawa– the entity of your true soul– the very body that you reside in, have always been our dearest friend, who gave up everything to ensure our safety to the very end. Now, it’s time we return the favor by making your aware of who you really are.”
There was a certain dread in Kiri as Yakujou spoke those words. He wanted to rebut, however, Yakujou moved his hand to cover his eyes and he felt a cooling sensation run over his head. It was soothing and it washed over the rest of his body like a cold shower. And all at once, images flashed into his mind, forcing tears to roll down his face and his breathing to quicken. He trembled but did not falter as he the memories bore into his soul. No. It was more like they broke free from within his soul and finally made him complete. All those years of feeling empty and uncertain were finally finding themselves reorganized, rethought of, and reshaped. It was terrifying, and Kiri had thought he would lose himself completely. But that wasn’t the case.
“I told you, didn’t I? I would protect you, not destroy you,” said the voice inside his heart. Kiri knew immediately that it was Hasegawa and he felt strengthened by it, even though he wasn’t sure why. There was simply a different kind of confidence that filled him up.
The vision of an old house, of an old temple, of the people he ate and drank with, of the friends he made– of a particular Ishikiri who was always troubled by his family, of a boisterous but generous Hogosha, of a sincere and kind but also protective Yakujou. It was almost as if his soul had changed and completed itself. It was an odd connection because even then, Kiri could feel the familial connection between these people in the memories that were filling up his mind, even when they were all from different backgrounds and family. But now that he was actually a descendant from them, of souls interlinked, and of a thousand-year old promise that became the curse of burden for their souls within his soulscape, it felt ever more important to him that he didn’t want to lose anything.
And then, there was the man before him. Hasegawa in with his white hair and yellow eyes staring back at him with conviction and a hand outstretched for Kiri. There was no need to resist for there was no urge to resist. Instead, there was only pure joy, a strange sort of elation that made Kiri feel ever more confident and complete that he reached out a hand to grab the man. As soon as they held hands, there was a sprouting of wings– large and wide white wings that glowed like pure chakra, both from Hasegawa’s back and his. Swirling feathers blew around them as the world turned white and on the surface where they stood upon, a crest appeared.
“People might fear us because we’ve turned out into an abomination, of something that shouldn't have happened, but it was the price we chose to pay to save our friends in the past. Now that the thousand-year promise comes to an end, you’ll never be alone again, I promise. My body is your body. My soul is your soul. My life is yours. Though frightening, please don’t reject my memories and flaws. For I promise, I will never reject you,” Hasegawa spoke like an oath and Kiri could sense the genuineness in his tone and the way his eyes conveyed his feelings.
“I’m used to being treated a monster,” said Kiri, making Hasegawa frown briefly, “So don’t worry. But I just want you to know, I will cry, I will throw tantrums and there will be days when I’ll hate myself for this moment because I would never want to part from my brother, from Hogosha and Yakujou. But I also know that there is a much bigger greed to this wish of mine, and that is the desire to live as my own… as Kiri. That’s why, I know I can never bring myself to reject you,” Kiri tightens his hold over Hasegawa’s hand, infusing his own chakra along as it manifests into a gold aura around them. “I promised I would live. I promised I would protect. I promised I would save even you… and I don’t go back on promises… not anymore.”
Hasegawa grinned at those words, “Not bad, kid. Not bad at all.”
Slowly, the hand that covered his eyes would move away and Kiri found himself back into the real world, standing in the snow-covered grounds of the frozen lake within the forest. The moonlight teased his eyes before they adjusted and he saw Yakujou’s form slowly vanishing into the air. Catching his breath, Kiri reached out to him in a yearning cry, but Yakujou only smiled back and made a pinky promise with Kiri, letting his voice enter the boy’s heart before he vanished completely.
“I’m here… don’t worry. We all are,” Yakujou’s voice echoed.
He could still feel a bit of the presence where their little fingers touched and made a childish promise, but Kiri knew that the words were real, that the promise was real. He knew that the dream had come to an end and that he would have to face the new reality. As tears continued to flow down his cheeks, he cried harder as he felt the shivering cold along his cheeks. Then, he felt the completeness of his heart, the certainty in his soul, and the surging of his chakra pulse like a wild fire that chased all the cold away. And as if he knew all along how to weave his chakra pulse, he felt the energy fill him with unearthly strength, seeping into his very bones, muscles, organs… And then, he felt a reassuring hand from Hasegawa as he glanced about him and saw his reflection on the frozen lake. No longer a boy but a man who resembled Hasegawa completely. A wave of the arm over his reflection on the lake sent a motion of chakra and wings appeared in its bright and vibrant chakra outline. It sent a small ripple on the frozen lake, like light dancing across the surface before he saw the amazement of his own eyes in his reflection.
Still, he felt saddened knowing he no longer felt the chakra that he used to have. It was almost as if he was no longer the Kiri he knew, and that he would no longer be able to material the souls into the material realm. What he had dreamt for many years, gone in seconds. And yet, there was a strange sense of freedom that clutched at his heart. The burden was gone. The lightness of his shoulders felt soothing yet terrifying at the same time.
“I’m here,” Hasegawa said, voice echoing in Kiri’s mind, and as simple as that, the worry disappeared and Kiri nodded in response.
The wings of chakra would soon vanish, the very last of the pulsating light giving way to the night’s darkness just as Kiri turned back into a child’s body. But unlike the days before, he didn’t feel the weight of the curses, nor the haunting emptiness. He was no longer alone as he finally found himself complete.

Origins
Born into one of the branch families of the Hasegawa Clan, Kiri had to adhere to the strict rules of the family. He did not possess a Cursed Beast of Creation as a child and so he was considered among the few of lower importance, with the family still believing that one day he would awaken to his fated Cursed Beast. However, when that fated day did arrive, everyone was aghast that the beast he contained was the Cursed Beast of Ruin alone. Fearing for the worst, and knowing that it could lead to his death, his mother tried to hide the truth and for many years, it worked. One day, however, his father would reveal the truth in order to preserve their family's honor, thus, Kiri was placed in an isolated house, seemingly imprisoned as the Main Family would debate on his fate. While in the past, those born without the Cursed Beast of Creation were treated harshly and even put to death, Kiri was fortunate to remain alive because of his young age, though isolated from the rest of the clan.
Without proper tutelage on how to restrain the Cursed Beast of Ruin's influence, there were many instances that he lost control. Trapped in his soulscape, Kiri would confront the Beast that forms itself in the shape of a large wolf covered in mist and plated with armor. In its terrifying form, often accompanied by the wailings of grief, rage and desire for vengeance or simply destruction, it was inevitable for the young Kiri to succumb and lose his sanity. Many times would he lash out like a wild animal to those that deliver his food. But something changed.
Like all cursed beasts, whether of creation or ruin, they are formed from the souls of ancestors of the Hasegawa lineage. Their true identity is mostly unknown until both the host and the beast would finally come to an understanding. This is why it is favourable to have both beasts as to create peace within the Hasegawa. In Kiri’s case, however, without the absence of the Cursed Beast of Creation, no one had any hope of his well-being nor would they believe that one day he would attain such a peace. Which ended up making him all the more dangerous as they could only see a nefarious aura about him, even when he was externally calm.
The reason for this strange acceptance was because the beast had devoured him in his soulscape, and there he learned of the beast’s true identity, as well as releasing the curse on the said beast that allowed for it to regain its own past memories. Here, he learned of the man who was born before him, yet died a horrible death on the hands of his father on the very day that Kiri was born. This was a man who, along with the others who were cast aside for their incompleteness of having only the Beast of Ruin, had been sentenced to death, and so it would only be right that he would be reincarnated into the same beast that changed his fate. But this man was far closer to him than first appeared, for what was reflected on Kiri’s eyes was no longer the shape of the wolf of vengeance, but that of a man who looked a lot like him, albeit older.
One day, his father visited him, trying to plead with him to speak after the many days of silence and not touching his food. The clan was of the mind that he was no longer human at this stage and mercy would only come through execution. It was a strangely familiar recourse.
“Father, you never spoke of my brother, did you?” said Kiri, which surprised the old man who sat safely behind the bars of the isolated house.
“You have no such brother. You are my only heir.”
“No, I don’t think so. My beast said he was born before me,” he continued as he observed the old man’s face grow pale, “But died on the day I was born. He was saved because his soul found sanctuary in mine. However, we both recall the pain of the blade that cut through our neck, the tears that swelled up our eyes, and the last glance upon our father who struck us down without remorse.”
“That can’t be!”
“Will you be the one the clan sends to kill me again?”
It was an ominous conversation but Kiri never spoke another word to his father again, no matter how much the other pleaded, denied at first and then finally relented to the truth. Inside him, he was angry, sad, and he felt like the world was against him. There was only him and his beast of a brother that lived inside, and his soulscape was the only place he could be free.
When he finally reached of age, old enough to be treated an adult, the clan had to finally decide his fate. He, too, found chaos inside his heart, and he could only want to break free. But as the day of his execution drew near, he found that his desperation weakened. Strangely enough, his brother’s words, the comforting presence of the beast, was soothing at the face of death. Then, he finally surrendered himself, ready to be killed.
It was just luck, and perhaps his own fate, when his father managed to plead his case. He did not want to kill son again, and no one in the clan could find any reason to execute Kiri as the days leading to it showed nothing of the sort of disastrous curse of the beast of ruin. Thus, they stripped him of his name, his claim to the clan, branded him an outcast, carving a sign across the pale of his back– one that would show his unfortunate stance– and then threw him out from the safety of their home.
Abandoned in the wilderness, blinded at first, only to be able to see after the effects of the jutsu washed away, Kiri would find himself alone. With no knowledge of the outside world, nor things to help for his survival, he was pretty much sentenced to death in a natural way. However, the beast of ruin would guide him, and he would struggle to survive in this strange world beyond his clan.
Meeting people, fighting with people, being taught in his soulscape, Kiri would manage to find himself in a different country, accompanying one of the many caravans he would temporarily join. And in this new country, past the marshes, he would find himself in a large port. He did not know what to do until one of the drunk caravan members suggested he stay and try to conquer the country. Of course, drunks were silly, but another spoke that this country was as strong as the others, and that here, people were tested for their skill and not their identity. It sounded too good to be true, but Kiri was getting tired of moving and moving without a destination, so he was at a bind.
One night, as he joined the men to tavern, he would hear more tales about this country’s heritage, its power, its legacy, and he couldn’t help but dream what it would feel like to leave amongst the clouds. And only then did he decide that perhaps it wouldn’t be so bad to try and figure it out.
“I never caught your name, boy,” said the caravan master as he gave Kiri some extra money for his journey.
“Hase-… uh… Kiri. Just Kiri,” he would answer before finally leaving for that so-called village amongst the clouds.
Life in Kumogakure wasn’t as easy as Kiri thought. Then again, he hadn’t lived life normally to even have a good grasp of what was normal, and his nomadic experience with the caravan was also quite different. Here, in the village amongst the clouds, the community was quite alive and large that he first felt a bit suffocated. He had to adjust with the way the people moved about, the way they talked, the way they lived. All in all, he had to try and blend in like everybody else, which did not go so well when he almost always ended up with fights as his demonic tendency (that is, the influence of the cursed beast within him), no matter how close he was to his brother by now, would inevitably make such aggressive behaviour rather appealing. Fortunately, it helped him in his journey as he joined the academy. Their, even if his contemporaries were younger than he was, they had the skill and technique, as well as family backing to help them. All he had was himself and the cursed beast, and it was enough to pull through.
Still, despite the challenges he had faced, and there are likely more to come as he could already feel that he would need to improve in so many areas even after leaving the academy, he thought it was a form of freedom. This was a path he chose, and he was willing and welcoming to take in all that would face him, may they be success or failure. Only then would he grow.
Growing stronger would entail that he would be able to fight for the freedom he desired, but he was also very much aware of the danger it possessed. As much as he was more expected to be a frontliner in the battlefield, he found it more soothing to follow the line of those med-nins he’d seen in the village. He always thought it was a way for him to show that there could be good things that come from being born with just one cursed beast, that of ruin, and at the same time, he found the profession quite dignified. Though merciless during battles, he was still quite taken about the idea of being able to save others.
Still, one may say that Kiri still has ways to go to truly know what he desires to be, or that he is still quite naive of the realities of the world, but his journey has only begun.

Training to be a medical ninja was taking a toll on Kiri’s psyche. It wasn’t just the mental frustration, but also the physical frustrations that he had to deal with. However, unknowingly, he had been suppressing such frustrations that when his past finally catches up with him through dreams and visions, he loses control over himself. Despite the seals and the third eye that he had been given by Junko and Osu, respectively, his beast became enraged with his doubts fuelling the demonic aura until he could no longer keep it together. It led to a disastrous fight at the Academy Grounds which left Hoshi in a critical condition in the hospital and Kiri arrested and placed in prison where he was to wait for his fate. Fortunately, with the help from Osu, Junko and Ayumu, he was able to come into terms with his doubts and was able to finally make a decision that he had been trying to avoid all these years, which was to accept himself without limiting his future. Thus, with a newfound resolve, Kiri would set off to train with Junko with an unwavering determination to gain control of his power and protect his family, which was now Kumogakure. In addition, he would be formally adopted into the Tsuyoshi Clan, though he is still hesitant to use the family name because of the incident which he fears may end up tainting the reputation of the clan.

Things you do NOT need to state, but take note of:
- Abilities = All of your Abilities are auto-untrained upon rebirth. In order to have any Abilities for your new character, you must activate them by posting in your character’s Dojo topic in your new village.
- Character History = By suiciding/rebirthing, you're making a new character. This means your new character must not know or remember anything of your old character's life/thoughts/feelings. If your new character has ANY direct/indirect connection to your old character, you MUST state that in your new character history write up for Admin & Village approvals. All Medical or ANBU related experience should be reflected in your history along with CA or BL influence.
- Editing Your New Character Application = Do not edit a post you have made in your OCR. You must copy all of your information from your last post and add the changes to the new post. This is for papertrail reasons.
Things that do NOT transfer with your next character:
Please take notice of which ASP shop items that you have bought transfer with your character, and which do not.
