Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Waiting in the interior of the Uchiha household Dojo Yukio intended to have Soku trained in very much the same manner he was before starting there was ground to cover however. With the passing of the years the Hyuuga hadn’t seen the AiT’s progression and as such didn’t know what she was capable off at this point in time, this was a simple matter to solve in the most direct manner possible he would test her metal see if this would be a longer process than expected.

The light of the evening sun cut through the windows as he stood there leaning against the far wall away from the door a card placed between his fingers flicking it between his digits in swift fluent motions. It had become a habit of his, a method of passing the time keeping his skills and reaction time sharpened head never moving from watching it. Though he didn’t look directly to the entrance the prowess of the Byakugan allowed him to always remain watchful never diverting his attention a slight smirk resting on the captain’s features.

Should the Santaru find her way casually walking through the entrance the card would quickly leave his hand launched through the air towards her to be embedded in the wall behind her. A test of reaction time the easiest way of gaining knowledge on that aspect, since they day he’d met the Hyuuga had always had a soft spot for the girl someone without family or home to call their own until recently. “It will be an interesting process we go through but do not be surprised if things are tough right from the get go.” He jested to no one pondering if she would be the type to truly see through the promise she’d made to herself to gain strength.

The clan compound was massive but she'd gotten so used to it now that the kunochi navigated it's walls and pathways with ease. A fresh new scar bristled underneath her eyes extending across both pupils clearly visible. It was a result of Ibumos horrifying experiment leaving her with the famed visual eye powers of the Uchiha, something no one knew about...yet. The girl came to a door and rested her hand on the knob. Soku didn't know what to expect, but the Captain had requested the lesson to be had here which she and knowing Yukio.. his lessons were always something of a peculiar nature, not like Marus who had a dark twist to them."Here goes nothing..."

Exhaling deeply, the female ANBU pushed the door open gently as it swung open and the Santaru approached the instructor."You wished to see me?"Before she could get the last syllables out, a card flew at her at incredible speed. Barely having time to react, her natural instincts kicked in and in one fluid motion, she dropped instantly to the ground and rolled coming up in a swift series of movements. The card stuck out quivering in the wooden walls."Was this some sort of test?"

A smile was playing out on the Hyuuga ' s features, no..it was more of a smirk. Suddenly, the girl felt like this lesson wouldn't be as easy to grasp. She glanced at the card and back at the Hyuuga, it had caught her off guard but at least she hadn't froze up in place."How do we get started now then, Sensei?"The Santaru girl asked in a steady tone eyeing the man's expressions and movements. He seemed totally at ease leaning against the wall while she stood there bursting with curiosity eager but also wary to see what Yukio had cooked up for her this evening.

Taking a moment of pause to gauge the AiT's reaction the hyuuga nodded slowly impressed she didn't simply freeze up seeing the attempt to blindside her a good sign. "simple tests like that can often give you some of the best insight into someone's abilities. Has you simply frozen in place with no reaction my confidence may have took something or a dive however it appears this is not the case." taking a few steps towards her, pulling his shoulders back to stretch the muscles, the gloves so many were used to seeing came into view sliding over the captains arms to be clicked and strapped in to place.

" our lesson today will be a simple one, we all have to start somewhere isn't that right? So think back to the day we first met when we spoke on what you could achieve with time and effort. I want to see if anything has come of that, to see if you took my advice and pushed forward however you won't simply have me standing here watching, no you will be sparring with me I will not fight back only defend but come at me with intent to kill this is the minimal expectation I have of you"

His smirk was gone in that moment wiped clean and a rather blank expression crossing his features matching the rather monotone sound of Yukio's voice. There were many questions that would be answered here that much he was certain of, however, how many questions could be raised was another matter. In recent months his students had become more than apt at surprising the captain and not always in the best way. In that brief few seconds of silence there was but a sense of curiousity hanging in the air around the hyuuga as he pondered if more concerns would come to his attention this day.

She watched as gloves slid into place fitting themselves snugly onto the Captain's hands. This was what Soku called a lesson. Not some teacher standing in front of a chalkboard and explaining calculations to a classroom full of Academy kids but a one on one practical implementation or in this case, a one on one sparring match."I'm not going to win this..am I?"She asked giving the Hyuuga a small smile as the girl tied up her hair in a bun clipping it with a small black pin.

With a swish of the leather strap at her waist, her trusty Storm Blade slid neatly out of its sheath to rest in her hand. The girl slowly rose her eyes to meet Yukios noting his deadpan expression and change of tone. It was in this moment the older shinobi would see the change in the younger ANBU'S pupils."Sensei..there's something you should know. This scar beneath my eyes..well, I'll explain the long story later but see for yourself."Her green eyes faded and were quickly replaced by the swirling red color of the Sharingan, the three tomoed pattern coming into existence. She had told no one and had decide to reveal it to Yukio confiding in him, trusting the older shinobi.

Before the Captain could comprehend the series of events that had just happened, two small black shuriken flew at him quickly duplicating into five as they got closer."Shadow Clone Shuriken Jutsu!"He had said to come at him with a intent to kill and the girl knew full well he meant what he said so she wouldn't hold back. There was a whooshing sound of the wind as Soku leapt off the the ground at the Hyuuga her Storm Blade arcing down at the man's head but it was a trick attack should he move to counter it."Fissure Slash!"The sword quickly hummed to life with electricty and suddenly before the blade could finish it's path to the head, she reversed the momentum of the blade and now it swung at the teacher's ribcage and this time, it was not a feint.

The lightning flashed out at Yukio seeking to touch some part of him to render him helpless. Soku knew full well however this wouldn't be that easy, her crimson eyes scanning the Captain's hands waiting for him to make some sort of hand signs."I will not allow you the leisure of making hand signs."She said knowing full well what he was capable of having seen a demonstration of his Lightning Style the day they had first met. She pressed the sword attack hoping it would break through the Hyuuga ' s defense, perhaps she might get lucky.

It seemed his student was more than ready to take on the challenge at hand making swift motions to draw the Scythe resting on his back giving it a few spins before slamming the hilt against the wooden floorboards. "Well I'm defending so the only loss would be your charkra running dry, i would assume by now you can tell when that's about to happen." There was no smile on his face however his focus and attention at this moment centered entirely on the AiT's movements and Chakra flow interested to see what kinds of Jutsu Soku could perform.

The first surprise came in the opening moments being exposed to the Sharingan an event that gave way to a raised eyebrow. "As i recall you were never a Uchiha, at least you never showed signs of being so in the early days." It was an interesting development one he hoped would be explained in due time however rushing such things was never a good idea unless absolutely necessary there was a chance it would create a sense of discomfort between student and teacher.

The air fell silent in the opening moments of their spar there was no time for talk only time to focus and make mental notes on what jutsu and movements were made. "Hmmm interesting taking the initiative a good sign, rather direct too though that can be a weakness as much as a strength." Bringing the Scythe before him before spinning it in his palm seeking to deflect the shuriken before seeing her seek to strike him, with a slight nod of approval before suddenly moving into a spin a rotating sphere forming around him a signature technique of the Hyuuga clan. Yukio could help but be curious wondering how Soku would adapt to the changing situation it was clear she wasn't one to give into freezing up at a sudden change in circumstances however battle was a completely different ball game.

The girls onslaught was rebuffed rather quickly by the Captain and she watched as the Hyuuga began to rotate, creating almost like a sphere around him."8 Trigrams Rotation.. I should have expected that from you, Sensei."She took a second ' s pause to analyze the situation. If she couldn't match the speed of the rotating jutsu the she'd have to diminish it although that was easier said than done. The girl slammed her blade down on the wooden floorboards still humming with electricty watching as the lightning shot across the surface to the rotating sphere of chakra, aiming for the Captain within.

"I am not a Uchiha, correct. Rather, a Santaru as you will find out soon enough."The girl said making a few hand signs and in the span of a few seconds, the evening sunlight was blotted out by dark storm clouds as they blotted out the sky, a occasional flash of thunder here and there."If I can't beat your ultimate defense then I'll simply have to go around it."If the Hyuuga paid close attention to the raindrops that were falling from sky, as they struck the wooden surface there was a hissing sound as the wood melted away."If you have not noticed by now,I have infused Acid Element into this Bloodline technique so this is not ordinary rain. Anything it comes in contact with, it will melt and burn away so I wonder how long that barrier will hold up. You can't hide forever."

Assisted by the powers of the clouds, she took a another stance. Soku flicked her fingers a bit and a long whip was revealed untangling itself dangling a few feet off the ground."Meet my friend,
the Volt Whip."
She gave her hand a twitch and the whip lashed out at its target. It was black in color covered in a coat of lightning chakra which could cover a great distance. "I wonder how well you would do on two fronts."There was a crackle and a clone phased into existence,a perfect copy and identifying the threat before her did a suicide charge at the Hyuuga as as distraction allowing the original Soku time to execute her ace card. Her eyes gleamed red with the Sharingan as she began to weave one final jutsu. Her chakra was stretched thin so she had to make this count."Just a little bit more..."

Feeling the searing sensations crossing his skin for the first time since the spar began Yukio would smile, not a smirk as he had done prior a proud look coming across his features as the spin came to a stop between the rain and lightning making it a useless endeavour head tilting over watching the flow of chakra in the girls body it seemed she was reaching her limit and though interested to see what she would do with the new found gift of the sharingan there was little interest in having an unconscious and drained student laying on the dojo floor.

"Cease I see, I see the development here and determination to push yourself as far as you need to go in order to progress to the next step however you need not do so in every spar. If this has been enough to push you to the limit Soku then that tells me all I need to know." Taking a few paces forward his hand came to rest on her shoulder there was a question the Hyuuga had in mind something to test the mind and not just the body. "Now tell me what do you think it means to be a member of the ANBU branch? What is our duty?"

Even on the surface it was not a simple question each individual would have their own answer even with only two of them there Yukio would have more than likely a very different answer to Soku however the general outline of them would remain the same and that would decide what type of lessons she would be ready to take. For the Captain the first meeting was all about building structure finding a path and building upon the foundations to improve their skills overall a challenge he was more than willing to take on.

Upon Yukio ' s statement, Soku lifted the jutsu and halted her combat Watchung as a approving smile appeared on the Captain's face. The girl felt a bit accomplished that she'd been able to gain some sort kf approval from the ANBU man and that was good enough for her. The Sharingan pattern faded from her eyes and was once again replaced with her usual normal green pupils. He strode forward placing his palm on her shoulder as she took in his height having to look up at the tall ninja to talk. The girl took a moment to anwser before she crafted a reply. There was a brief period of silence before the Santaru spoke.

The ANBU ......to be a member of this branch, I think you have to be prepared both physically and mentally to encounter the type of missons that are too risky for other branches, that's why we are here. I also believe there is a high level of maturity that goes along with being a ANBU shinobi with the ability to follow orders quickly and achieve the objective to the best of our skill."As she spewed out words and letters, the girl was having flashbacks of her earlier times in the ANBU. This branch was her family, her home and she couldn't think of any other place. The medical branch dabbled too much in research and science, something she had no passion for and the main branch was too...bland for her.

"Our duty? Sensei,I'll put it like this. The ANBU branch is a jack of all trades. Basically,
we support the village and protect it behind the scenes in a secretive manner ranging from intelligence to assassination. We have a variety of duties among the branch but each ANBU has one common duty among the branch and I believe that's to establish peace and order and to ensure the quality of life for the citizens of Konoha at any cost necessary."

Thinking on her words it seemed Soku had a firm grasp on what it meant to be part of the branch however the experience with the activities the branch partook in was another matter entirely taking a few paces towards the door. "You have the minimal understanding for me to take you forward, this was not just a catch up session this was me seeing if you really understood what it meant to be part of the branch. To see if you had grown past thinking it sounded cool or everything else is boring thinking that way is pointless and reflects poorly on the individual."

Moving to the door to gaze upon the world outside it would be interesting to see what path she took from this point, to move forward with the rest or attempt to bring her own new ideas to the table. "The village must remain united regardless of what branch we give our allegiance to, at the end of the day Medic, Main or ANBU is simply a title we all come from the leaf village and that's what you should truly keep in mind." Turing on his heels to look back to his student there was still more than a few questions left unanswered however the day was going by and much still had to be done.

"I do hope one day you will explain those eyes to me, the way things are going I've noticed more and more eye transplants popping up and its something of a concern of mine." He didn't explain his reasoning bringing a hand up to ponder before turning to leave the dojo. "Think of what I have told you today, look back on it when you doubt the path you walk on and I will summon you once again when I have more to teach. Bear in mind not all lessons will be simple spars, there is much to go over from this point."

The girl nodded soaking in the information as it was given. Soku felt like today had been a productive lesson and it seemed Yukio was still satisfied even though he questioned the origin of her newfound power."Maybe some other day, it's a long story."Yukio would freak if he knew how she had come by this visual prowess of hers.

The Captain left and now it was time for Soku to make her exit as well. Glancing around the area where they had their little spar, the girl couldn't help but smile. She felt...complete within the branch and regarded Yukio as a sort of father figure although she didn't tell him this."He is one of a kind."
Summing up her sentimental thoughts, the girl proceeded to leave the area following in Yukios footsteps.
The floorboards creaked under her feet as the ANBU female strode back to the path she'd come by noting that the card still lay there quivering in the wall, how it had withstood her jutsus was a miracle and served as a reminder to her what the important of this lesson had been.
