Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.
Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.
Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.
The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

Main Branch/ANBU/Med-Nin: Main Branch IC Rank: Chunnin Character Age: 23 Gender: Male Character's Physical Description: Tengoi stands at about five foot-ten with little to no real defining features. His hair is, usually, pulled back up into a high ponytail which reveals a plain face that is painstakingly hard to remember. His clothing consists, always, of normal small clothes, an undershirt, one white pullover hoodie with a little tiger emblem over the left breast that is way too clean. A pair of either “man tights” or summer shorts, and the same colored white sneakers with a red stripe, that also remain suspiciously fresh. It is rare, but sometimes he can be seen wearing socks and open toe sandals. The only two things that really sets him apart from just blending in with the background noise of the city is a plain katana at his side, and the shinobi plated headband that hangs out of his pocket like some sort of street gang affiliation. All in all, he stands tall as a background character as far as appearance goes…that is, until Teng lets his hair down. Once the tightly held locks are lowered, his entire appearance seems to under go an instant make over. Teng suddenly has a defined jaw line. The plain features of his face are covered by beautiful bangs, with some of them straight covering the entire right side of said face. His hair, that was simply black, now reveals layers of raven blue coloring on top that was hidden away when it was pulled up. The bulky pullover is removed to reveal a perfectly toned physique, with scars to prove it was tempered by many shinobi missions. Even his katana that remains ever at his side becomes more defined, as if some weird perception filter kept it looking simple as he normally did with his hair up. Yet despite his masculine changes, Tengoi remains the same person - with or without the sex appeal.
Character's Mental Description: Ryuu Tengoi is first, and far most, a coward. And then a pacifist. In that order.
He is not a brave man, and will never claim to be so. The most Tengoi wants out of life is a hot meal, a six-pack of beer, and a bed to lay his head on. He often is the only Chuunin that actively participates in low-level missions with lower level combatants. In there, he is still known less likely to fight, and more than happy to let the earnest youth step up and get their butts whipped first before swooping in to finish off the tired villain. It is quite unknown how Tengoi has managed to make it this far as a shinobi without someone catching on to his shenanigans, but, here we are. Yet despite his distaste for violence, the Chuunin is actually a genius combatant. He can analyze a situation and know exactly how much effort he has to expunge into the situation, if the buck can be passed, and if not, how little could he actually do? His first thought in combat isn’t “how much damage can I do”, but, “how pathetic can I make myself look to continue flying under the radar?”
Because, the other part of his life where he isn’t a sword wielding hit man for a militant agency, is just Teng doing what he loves most; relaxing. His time as a Genin was especially hard, and he worked his tail off to achieve the level of comfort he currently wields. Once he made Chuunin, the high paycheck allowed him to live his personal lifestyle easily, and he didn’t want anything about that to change. So he puts the least amount of effort he can just keep from being promoted into a job that would require attention; taking away his time for tv soap operas.
Character History: Teng is from a long line of nomadic clans that collectively labeled themselves under one name: The Ryuu. They held multiple bloodlines, four different actual clans, and a council built from democratically elected members from all parts of the land. Their purpose as a collective? To find, seal away, and hide dangerous ninjutsu, weapons, artifacts, and seemingly normal objects away from the hands of the evil and stupid. Yet despite their best efforts to continue the lifetime missions, one of their elected officials managed to subvert the entire system in a way that funneled all the political power to move the clan and decide next destinations right into his hands. Unlike most elected leaders of the Ryuu clan, this man by the name of Tengokai, was hell bent on a personal quest to find and unbury one of the Ryuu’s most dangerous weapons ever locked away. The result of this ended up destroying the Ryuu, Tengokai found the sword and went crazy, and the rest of this is the background for Ryuu Tama.
So who is Ryuu Tengoi? Well, as the clan was quickly dying from their mad trip to the furthest northern points known to man, some of the families thought it wise to break off and try to hide themselves until Tengokai died and this all blew over; it was inevitable, they thought. Sadly, the madman remembered. One of the many horrible things Tengokai did while traversing the lands was locate almost every family and eradicate any remaining knowledge of the Ryuu or what they hid away from the world. Only four families survived, and out of spite, they kept onto the clan name as their surname. The first belongs to Tengokai’s very own bloodline, and his equally mad son, Ryuu Tama. The second family escaped to Kumogakure and settled into the mountains to lay low as simple moss farmers. Fortunately they were blessed by not having very strong control over chakra, so what little secrets they held onto remained just that, with non of their children ever having entered the military. The third, and final, family originally escaped to Kirigakure before it became a frozen hellscape, and then found themselves in Konohagakure. This family didn’t have as much of a luxury in having weak chakra coils, but thankfully service here wasn’t mandatory for those who did.
Tengoi, youngest son of the tight knit family, eventually decided to join the military for reasons of pride and honor, and something about wanting to prove himself to peers he had known for most of his life, having been born and raised in Konoha. His parents tried to talk him out of it, but he took a stand against them for the first time ever. Realizing the boy was at the very least passionate about the service, they allowed it; if nothing else, it would give him some structure, they thought. Academy seemed to breeze by for Teng, as well. He was good at solving problems, his chakra control was top-notch from his rich bloodline, and he had always taken physical training seriously so he kept top marks in Taijutsu. He even was one of the few Academy Students who found his chakra had an overly natural affinity for lightning elemental attunement, which gave him a step up over his peers. Genin-hood, however, was another story. The hazing was real. His original team wanted nothing to do with the spunky twelve year old and more often than not he found himself picking up the slack of his peers. After his third team transfer and being told he wouldn’t be allowed another, save his comrades dying, the sword wielding thunder-child found himself in a pickle; as Teng had grown tired of carrying everyone on his metaphorical shoulders.
So, determined to break free of his Genin Hell, the kid started doing solo missions, and saved up every last pinch of Yen he could. At sixteen he moved out of his parents house into his own small duplex, and at eighteen passed his Chuunin Exams with decent marks due to his speed and efficiency with combining Ninjutsu and Taijutsu. After a month of keeping up the same pace he had as a Genin, offers began to pile up for missions that were far more dangerous than he realized, and way more personally violent tone than his stomach liked to settle on. Once he was forced to murder a man, or watch his precious home of peace and relaxation burn away, Tengoi decided he was going to stick to low-level missions. Like a rock, the teen’s mission count dropped through the floor, and those lucrative offers blessedly went away. Since then, he’s spends most weeks not doing anything, except the physical training he never learned to let go of. He collects his monthly pension, does one or two C-Rank or lower mission to keep up his bare minimum quota, and takes the rest of the time to sit around, drink beer, and watch soap operas. He’s currently really into the second season of Real Shinobi Housewives.
