Shuusei Touma - NPC (Cloud ANBU Captain)​

It was a sunny morning at the Phoenix Gate, hardly any clouds in the sky. The weather seemed poised for an excellent day for travel. Given this, it was no surprise to find the gates as busy as any other day: merchants checking in or out of the village, shinobi heading out on missions or returning for a well earned rest from a job well done. This particular day one additional body added to the crowd, a foreigner far away from his considerably less warm climated home far to the north.

Touma had been in Konoha for quite some time now, having stayed longer than the job had required. Saito had long since returned to Kumogakure leaving Touma with the sole purpose of being in Konoha to... vacation? That was a bit unheard of for him, it had been his longest break from work since becoming a Genin. It was something he had to learn how to do and it was debatable whether or not he had really succeeded. Of course, good or bad, all things come to an end. With no reason to remain, and heeding to the itch to get back to work, he had finally decided that it was time to return home. He had gathered his belongings and sealed them into a few scrolls for easy carrying before making his way to the gates of Konoha. Approaching the interior side, he awaited somebody to process him. Passport in hand, when it was requested he would hand it over.

Asuka was leaning against one of the pillars at her post, waiting for the people requesting to leave to appear. In all reality she was only here because she was ordered to but it didn't bother her. Nothing did this days, with a sigh she looked towards the village seeing one person heading in her dirrection. Well, here goes nothing.

Asuka took her place in front of the man, not letting him go any further without getting to talk to her first. Asuka crossed her arms and with a deadpan expression said "I'm gonna need your passport, which I'm guessing it's what you're holding." she extended her hand, she preferred that it was giving willingly, avoid any potential trouble "Also going to need where you're going and why. If you don't mind." With that said, she waited for the mans answer. Hopefully this wouldn't turn south. She didnt want to fight.

Shuusei Touma - NPC (Cloud ANBU Captain)​

As expected, somebody was quick to approach Touma as he waited before the gates with his passport in hand. He was often on their side of this exchange, seldom on the side of the traveler as he currently was. It seemed the process here was not significantly different from that of Kumogakure's gates. Asuka asked for his passport, which Touma compliantly handed over for inspection. "Of course. Here," he replied, extending the passport for her to take. It was an official Kumogakure issue passport with the seal of the Raikage authenticating it.

"As I'm sure you can see, I am a shinobi of Kumogakure. I came here escorting a rogue shinobi we were returning to Konoha some time ago and have been here since. My business here has concluded, so I am returning home to my village," Touma explained. That was the long and short of it- there wasn't much else to say. He had no other plans but to return to Cloud now that he was leaving. There was likely a good deal of work waiting for him now that he had been gone as long as he had. His stay in this village had been good, but the sooner he got back the better, at this point.

Asuka took the passport from him and opened it up, checking to see that the information inside it was valid. Everything seemed to be in order, now just to wait for him to give her his story.

Escorting a rogue Shinobi? Why the hell would he do that? More importantly, why would he be divulging information of that caliber to someone of a foreign village? Not that it mattered to her, she was just curious in all honesty. But well, it wasn't important to her now and it wouldn't be in the future. A Kumo Shinobi huh." She looked up at him with an emotionless expresion. "Never met someone of your village before." Asuka sighed and gave him back his passport "You're good to go, be careful on your way back. Last I heard there's a rogue shinobi running around near tea." With that she walked back to her pillar, leaning against it. Waiting for the next person to show up.

It was difficult to tell from her expression whether Asuka was or wasn't aware of the Konoha rogue that Touma and company had turned over to the Hokage at the time of their arrival. Regardless, it wasn't as though it was a secret. It had taken place quite publicly in front of these very gates when they had arrived. Touma was simply fully explaining his presence in their village and his reason for now departing in order to avoid any problems or delays with being processed.

She commented that she had never met a shinobi from his village, which wasn't terribly surprising. Despite the good relations the two villages had formed in recent years there was still a vast distance between them geographically. The visitors between them were few and far in between. "The same was true for me of your people until my visit here. It's been enlightening," Touma replied, glancing over his shoulder to the village he was leaving behind. It had become familiar to him in the past months, something he wouldn't soon forget. There wasn't much difference between the people here and the people back home, in his experience.

His passport was returned and he slipped it into a belt pouch before looking back up. Asuka granted him his leave and warned him of a rogue shinobi said to be in the vicinity of Tea. Fortunately for him, Tea was quite a ways off from the path he would be taking back to Lightning Country, so the chances of crossing path with said shinobi were slim. "Thank you, I will be careful. Farwell," he said, bidding the shinobi adieu. He nodded his head and walked past her, heading towards and out of the gates on his journey back home.
