Name: Wakahisa Chiyoko
Age: 13
Physical Description:As a budding young woman she stands slightly taller than most of her peers at 5'2" and weighing in at around 105 lbs. Our young Kunoichi was gifted with great genetics holding an athletic build that would make most boys jealous, and of course the face of a quintessential darling. With a small button nose, thin yet pert lips, and a constantly jovial expression. At one point the young girl had two eyes of separate colors, though that time is no longer. Her left eye is covered by a simple black eye-patch hiding the empty eye-socket behind it, the patch was also just large enough to cover the various scars that adorned the left side of her face. The scars and her missing eye denoted a time when she had gone back to save a dear friend, and had nearly died in the process. Her right eye still shines bright to this day, large and a brilliant emerald green in color.
She has a small birthmark on the palm of her left hand which only slightly stands out against her lightly sun-tanned skin, the mark looks as if it were a fractured spade, the mark has a small vertical dividing line where her tan runs through the otherwise pinkish mark. While the palm of her right hand holds a deep scar from a blade, the wound was attained the same way her missing eye was. Coming from a family deeply enrouted in the criminal underground she has been marked by a tattoo on her right wrist, ensuring she never forget her beginning, nor anyone else forget. The design and coloring of the tattoo are simple enough, a detailed chrysanthemum flower with nearly ruby petals sits delicately upon her skin. With a design of such beauty one might assume that the process of gaining such a tattoo would be painless, but like her brothers and sisters before her the tattoo was done in the traditional manner of horimono, with needle and bamboo rod. Perhaps one day she would have more added on, but for now the one small piece was more than enough. Upon graduating to Genin the young girl was fully welcomed into her clan, her right wrist now held a five-point Shuriken signifying her position in the clan as their Shinobi-representative to the outside world. The mark also signified that should anyone in the outside world cause her trouble, it meant they caused the family trouble, and no one wanted that.
Mental Description: Being brought up in a home with four brothers and no sisters has had a profound effect on the young woman, one could consider her to be hyper competative, fairly un-feminine and generally crass for a young woman. Beneath that lies someone who is lacking a bit of self-esteem, a woman who puts others before herself, someone who is longing for acceptance, something which she tries to win through competition Though this is not to say that she is generally unhappy, which is pretty far from the truth. Generally speaking she is fairly happy and sociable, and while she can be a bit coarse she generally means well.
As far as hobbies goes she is an avid fan of free-running, enjoying exploring the more urban landscape of the village hidden in the clouds. There's nothing in the world like it, to feel the freedom of traversing the lands, of seeing the sites no one else does, to live free. The young woman also has a soft spot for most animals, often times volunteering with the various animal services within the city. And of course Chiyoko has a deep attachment to her family, not only those she's bound to by blood but to all of the members of her supposed 'clan', while they may be criminals they were still very much family to her, and family...Well, family's important. Miscreants or not.
History:
Born to a family of five blood brothers Chiyoko was the middle child, outside of her blood relatives the young woman was kin to hundreds, none shared their blood but all shared their name. The Wakahisa family, compiled of group of criminals who joined together in order to survive. One might say they were Yakuza, though they would surely deny the accusation. Her mother passed when the last of her brothers were born, leaving the young woman with her siblings and her father, a man from a long line of men who had lead the family, keeping them together and in check. While loving the man was distant, not that she would ever care to blame him, he had hundred of men to watch over - to make sure they didn't disintigrate, his other children one might say.
Chiyoko was raised by her brothers and the members of the clan, her other brothers and sisters, taught from a young age that these men and women were the most important people that she would ever know, that they were family, that they looked after each other no matter what, that it would be better to die rather than turn on them, these were her loved ones. Murderers, thieves, miscreants. The Devil's gambit.
It was custom for one of each generation of the true Wakahisa, the ones born by blood, to become shinobi as a matter of patronage toward the village in the clouds, it ensured good will between the family and the village allowing for a bit of leeway in other matters. Chiyoko never particularly wanted to be a Shinobi, but then again she never really wanted to become a member of a criminal organization, it all seemed to just be thrust upon her, and she of course accepted as a matter of honor and principle. Thus she joined the academy leading us to where we are today.
