Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Hoshimi walks around the newly build homes, taking in deep breaths. There was nothing better than taking in the fresh air she hadn't tasted for a long time. Not once did she take her eyes off of the sky, letting the sun burn her eyes with tears streaming down her smooth cheeks. No one seemed to be around so navigating was easy for the blissful young girl. The sound of the sand crunching under her small feet was the only sound that filled the air, regardless of the life that should be up and around.. This is because it was so early in the morning. Hoshimi loved to get up early in the morning, before everyone else and walk around town. It was the only time there was true peace when she could live in the silence she so ever adored.

"Staring at the sun for too long can hurt your eyes youngling."<i></i> Spoke a tired and wary voice. Sousuke was staring at the sky too, but not the sun. His eyes were tracing something unless for the moment. He wore a black and white mesh suit. It was for the most part black, but there were white lightning bolts along the sides of it. "She won't hurt you. She's my dog. Not a ninja dog. Just a normal one with an exceptional history."<i></i> Sousuke spoke a husky came rushing forward with a stick in her mouth. The husky dropped the stick and barked soundly at Sousuke who looked down and then picked up the stick and threw it again. Again the husky ran off to go get the stick. Again his eyes went back to something skyward and his gaze shifted. His eyes had dark marks under them. Something had happened which caused him to stop looking skyward. Perhaps it was what he was looking for or perhaps what he was looking for could not be found, and so he simply gave up.

It was indeed quite early in the morning. The canine returned once more with the stick in her mouth. Sousuke knelt down to the canine and took the stick from her. He scratched her behind the ears and patted her. The canine let out a series of cheerful barks. The dog would then look over seeing what was to be a potential new friend. The husky would rush over to the girl regardless of the fact she wanted to be in the presence of the husky. Upon reaching the child, the canine would circle about her three times and then promptly stop. The canine would sit herself infront of her and let out two barks. The charming canine would tilt her head in a way that was suggesting that she was wishing the child a good morning. "Her name is Kitchy, if you were wondering. Short for Kitchenzilla."<i></i> Sousuke would explain he scratched the back of his head. Would a child at that age comprehend that once upon a time that Kitchy was not in fact a dog... rather she was a... oh nevermind.

Hoshimi grinned at the husky, bending down to scratch the thick fur. "I haven't seen many dogs around. Where did you get her?" She asked, wishing she could have one of her own. The young girl had always wanted a companion to replace the family she once had, but underground was never a good place for animals who would rather run free.
Not forgetting about the elder man she looked up at him and examined his facial features. He had obviously been through a lot for his face, his eyes, to be so dark. It scared her a little at the reminder if how powerless she really is in the light of others. "Have you not been able to sleep?" Hoshimi asked the man, hoping that was just it but something deep inside her told her other wise.
Standing up, she continued to rub the husky behind the ear, still staring up at the man. Could she trust him? He was apart of the village, so why would he hurt her? Plus, if he wanted to he could have already. There was nothing to be scared of, yet her insides continued to twist in fear.

The canine began to lick Hoshimi's face. The canine like her master, was perhaps a little too trusting of people. The logic? Happy child? Must be a good child then. The husky let out another two barks. "I got her... uh..."<i></i> Sousuke had to think. "Well I've had her since I was sixteen. Where did I get her? That's a tricky question to answer. She is native, in a way."<i></i> Originally Kitchy had been built from his mother's oven. The logic? Well. Sousuke would forget to feed a real dog and take it for walks, so a mechanical T-Rex programmed to be a dog was the best idea. Then came that ever so fate-full accident with the beta rays that turned Kitchy into a real dog... along with that toy he was making for his Ward's ... adopted child. Who knew that beta rays had the effect it did when... well. Sometimes accidents could be a good thing. Sousuke fed his dog. He took her for walks... and made sure she was well looked after.

The child took notice of his tired and wearied look. She asked him if he had not been able to sleep. He nodded his head. "Sleeping is difficult for me at times. There are too few hours in the day, Hoshimi of the House Kaito."<i></i> It was expected for the Kazekage to know of everyone in the village. He knew their family sigils if they had one, he knew their lineage, he knew cousins, grandparents, adopted children and wards. That being said though, he knew of people but there was always the first time meeting them. Sousuke rubbed his eyes. In the case of Hoshimi she didn't have parents. They were taken from her. A disheartening thing indeed. Sousuke's parents too had gone awol, assumed dead. The difference though was age. Hoshimi was a young child, and Sousuke was in his twenties. "I'm a worrier too. That certainly doesn't help either."<i></i>

(I read a bit from your profile, will edit out the part about the orphan if you so desire)

(Oh no, it's totally fine! I'm actually glad you did!) The young girl was taken back by his remark and knowing her name but he seemed like a trustworthy person...hopefully. Dogs had normally taken after their master so it made no sense for him to be anything different. Still, she rubbed the rather excited dogs fur roughly. She took comfort in the pup who found her so fun, so great. Trying to push all fear aside, she watched him as he spoke his answers to her questions. "I always thought there were just the right amount." She smirked after saying such. Sometimes darkness could be your best friend if you knew how to use it.

Hoshimi was right. Sort of. When Kitchy used to be a mechanical instead of fleshy she would have looked alot more akin to one of Sousuke's armoured suits. Since taking a more fleshy and furry appearance the dog was far more expressive now. She indeed took after Sousuke, but instead of staring skywards angrily at things, she would tilt her head accordingly. At times it seemed like she would have intelligent conversation through her barks, which was about to occur right now. Kitchy let out two ruffs and nodded her head to agree with the child. She then looked to Sousuke and let out a concerned whine. The canine saw less and less of her master these days, but so long as she saw him alive and in one piece and not in the hospital, that was good enough for her.

"Heh."<i></i> Sousuke considered what the child said. Even if there were more hours in the day he would complain about that because there was always more work to be done. The former Steward shook his head. Children at times often seemed wiser than their future selves at times. "Well said."<i></i> He lowered his gaze to his dog, and then to her. "So young Hoshimi, what brings you out this early? I don't beleive it is a school day, and most children, my son included usually like to sleep in or watch cartoon creatures beat each other senses with bats or overly heavy objects."<i></i> Children's television shows were oftentimes very violent and very surprising. It made him wonder if it ever effected them when they got older. "What did you undertake to do this morning, if you don't mind me inquiring."<i></i>

Kitchy gave Sousuke lazy look of sorts. 'I don't think the child recognizes you as the Kazekage'. Kitchy titled her head accordingly to the dog. Sousuke blinked, not once but twice. Well now... how to go about this business now? Most children knew him, but he wasn't offended when he wasn't identified directly.

As her hand got tired, she pulled her hands into her pockets staring at the ground below her. "Sleeping doesn't help anything when there's so much to be seen." She stated looking back up to meet Sousuke's eyes. Her mother once told her much can be learned about a person through their eyes for they were the gateways into their souls. Regardless of how much she tried to fit in, something always held her away from all the other children. No one truly accepted her as a friend or anything as such, most was to just be nice or to show the adults they too could fake relations. Kitchy and Sousuke had been the first to talk with her as a normal human, not just some filth infesting the streets.

This had made Hoshimi happy. Maybe the elder man wasn't as bad as she thought him to be. Perhaps he was someone who understood her, who knew there was so much more. "I have no real reason for being out today." She spoke matter-of-factly in a tone that was curious of her own actions. Sometimes a gut instinct would pull her to places for no real reason other than the fact she needed to explore. With no one to control her actions, it's was always a pride to do things on a whim while others couldnt. But did she really like it? Did she really like being alone?

"Sleeping and a fresh mind lets you fully appreciate what you're seeing."<i></i> He countered when she remarked about how sleeping doesn't let you see everything that life had to offer. "That and if you don't sleep, eventually you snap under pressure and you're stuck in the hospital for several days."<i></i> It wasn't one of his finest moments. He was speaking from experience of course. He was getting ever so closer to having another one of those happen to him again. He wouldn't do much good for the village if he was stuck in the hospital again due to his inability to maintain some form of healthy life style. Children on the other hand bounced back easily. They could quickly recover from a fall.

"No real reason about being out this morning."<i></i> He repeated. He thought about it for a moment. "Why don't you create a fictional reason for being out this morning?"<i></i> He suggested. He wondered what the child would say now. A game of sorts? Entirely possible. Children did have great imaginations. Ktichy would come back to Sousuke who knelt down to his dog. "What do you think Kitchy?"<i></i> He asked his dog. "I bet that Hoshimi came out this morning to... save the world from ... giant evil automaton teddy-bears."<i></i> Sousuke himself was exhausted. He couldn't think of anything great to suggest. If anything he was certain that the child could think of something far better than he could think of. "Let's make a game of this. See who can make up the ... silliest of reasons to be out so early in the morning."<i></i> He looked sideways and leaned forward. He held up his hand and covered the side of his face. "Even the Kazekage sometimes to play a game. All work and no play makes the Kazekage a very boring person."<i></i> He nodded his head. He made a shh gesture next as he chuckled at the thought about it.
