A proverbial giant. Watanabe Ai stands head and shoulders above your common man. She has a stocky frame that supports the height well, and stands at an imposing eight feet tall. Despite the amazonian heights she has a curvy frame that deceptively hides her muscles beneath pleasing layers of fat. She has a full bust and full hips. Its difficult to find clothing to fit someone of her size, so her clothing tends towards being rather tight against her body or is otherwise a little too short. Most typically she wears a form hugging turtle neck shirt and dark leggings with a red sash wrapped around her waist with pouches of tools inside. She wears bandages from her hands to her elbow and from her feet to her knees. She is incredibly athletic, fast, and flexible despite her size and figure. She has emerald eyes and wears her dark hair in a short bob.

Watanabe Ai is a country girl. She speaks with a Southern cloud accent and has proper manners as well. She has strong morals and values that were hammered into at an early age and firmly believes in the genius of hard work. She may not be the brightest, but she is earnest and determined where it counts and as compassionate as a glass of cold sweet tea on a hot summer day, which ironically enough is her favorite beverage and time for drinking said beverage.
She has a bottomless pit for an appetite, yet when in the presence of others she feels like her stomach is quite unladylike and tries to eat as little as she can manage if someone is determined to watch her eat. She is also always hungry, given her enormous size, even her Akimichi sized apetite struggles to keep up with her body's energy needs.
Cute things really appeal to her. She likes small furry creatures flowers and charms. She would like to be able to wear cute dresses and be fashionable but something in her size is hard to comeby and it would probably not look cute on a giant like her. Still, she has the heart of a young girl. She is obsessed with stories about princesses and true love.
She finds that she has a special place when it comes to activities that it benefits to be as big as she is. She likes to roughhouse and engage in games and activities that are typically considered to belong to the realm of boys because they take advantage of her height and stature. She enjoys throwing her weight around and helping people move objects that would otherwise be too heavy for them to move.

Ai was born in the southern edge of Lightning Country. It was clear she would be a large child from the moment she was born via Caesarean section. The operation saved her life, but due to the poor tools and lack of medicine her mother was not so lucky. Without a mother she spent a lot of time in her earliest years visiting the mothers in the surrounding farms while her brothers and father went to work. By the age of 5 she was already big enough to help her family with their physically demanding work.
There was trouble in paradise. Bandits approached their farm and took their share of the harvest and the family’s money with the promise that they would return and that they had better pay up. The farmer community came together and thought that they should pay for protection from the shinobi in the Village Hidden in the Clouds. The community pooled their money together and a genin team was dispatched to protect the farmers from the bandits.
Ai was curious of course. She spent as much time as she could with genin and their jonin sensei. She gained a fascination for the ninja arts when she saw how effective they were against the bandits. She decided that she wanted to become a kunoichi and be able to protect whoever she wanted, and with her massive size she knew that she would be accepted.
A year after the shinobi had left, more bandits returned to the farms for revenge. When smoke was seen on the horizon at one of the neighboring forms, her father told her to hide in the fields while he tried to rescue her brothers. Neither he nor her brothers returned. When night fell, her eldest brother found her in the field. Their home had been burnt down and there was no sight of their father or the other brothers.
With heavy hearts she and her brother decided that the safest thing for them to do now was to take refuge in the hidden city. Ai had a determination to become strong enough to defeat those bandits that destroyed her home and bandits everywhere in the world. Once they arrived at the village her brother began to work in construction and began to pay her way into Cloud’s ninja academy.
She spent several years training in the academy, growing taller and stronger as time progessed. She really struggled with her chakra control in part due to her size, but her brother never gave up on her and continued to fund her fore rays into the academy.After meeting a teacher named Maru she was finally able to take a test handed out by the Eccentric Jounin and was able to just barely pass, thus skipping all of the regular tests and finally earning herself a genin headband.
