This was not what he expected. The hospital ruins were frozen over, and stained with all manner of bodily fluids; that was to be expected. The lights pulling a flickering strobe effect was a novelty thing, however. It actually made it harder to get around, and he could see things lumbering through the halls. The scream that echoed from the darkness of a room was nothing human, and it left even him trembling with the awareness of what was in that enclosed place.
Hoshikata made his way through those halls like a ghost, moving from shadow to shadow, hiding under counters when need be to let things go by that the strobing lights almost made real. As long as he didn’t see them dead on it was fine. IT was safe. But he knew it was only a matter of time before they saw him, so he would have to be quick.
The office was as he remembered it, but different. They hadn’t wasted much time in moving someone else into it, and all of his old work was in a box under the desk. The Seer grabs it, using a scroll to store it and leaving the room. On his way out he took more care to avoid the things that were gripping for him, screaming at him. He wouldn’t be coming back this way again, it seemed.
