“Odd...”
As Suika and her sensei, Kiri, made their way to the capital, the duo both got separated from their group. Kiri gave clear instructions on which bus to board and which place to meet, but there must have been confusion somewhere along the way. The young kunoichi theorized that it was probably one of Eishi's frequent outbursts that distracted the group, but who was to say? Regardless of how or why, here they were. Suika gazed out the window as they speedily passed by long stretches of farmland. The calm green pastures appeared full of life as they homed various cattle and plants. Such a sight wasn't too common in Lightning Country, so she took a few seconds to breathe in the tranquil view.
It wasn't long after that the train arrived at a rest stop. The conductor announced a maintenance delay – about a couple of hours, he stated. Suka sighed. Well, it wasn't like the others were far ahead. The kunoichi hopped from the railroad and onto the dirt road. She then stretched. “It looks like we have time to kill, Kiri-sensei.”
Suika mentally prepared herself for whatever Kiri had planned for their downtime. Clearly, she'd let her instructor lead. Whether it was to relax, talk, sight-see, or train, she trusted in his discernment. Kiri proved to be more than competent as a leader and teacher, so she was up for anything.
“Now that I think of it...” she pondered as she walked beside him, “...I've never really had one-on-one time with Kiri-sensei. I usually see him in group settings, so this will be an interesting change of pace.” And it was true. All her lessons with the man, thus far, have been in the company of other Genin. She didn't mind it, but it definitely wasn't typical.
