It was always fun when shows and traveling circuses came to the village. They would always tour through Soon's and if they felt adventurous enough would make the trip through the merchant tunnels to Suna where an enthusiastic audience would await them. Unfortunately, that was the curse of living underground. Common things else where seem like treasures. A circus show or a carnival ride would be so foreign that it would appear as the most grand of activities. One such groups had come through the village hidden in the sand not all that long ago and with its departure had left behind some more colorful pieces of their equipment. Mostly notable a mirror fun house that a local had taken over in an attempt to make money. While it had been a quick success, it soon turned out that not everyone that went into the mirror maze found their way out afterwards, a fact kept quiet by the owner who was now in the Obsidian Palace.
Uri, a man of many talents and experiences was tasked with the destruction of the accursed fun house and was warned to not gaze into any reflection the mirrored surfaces offered or risk being lost to another dimension himself. A team of chuunin had been sent out earlier to make sure no one else went near it, to protect those who were too curious about the mysterious attraction. Uri arrived eating a box of his signature confections and was met by the security team's leader.
"You're the one whose suppose to dispose of this thing?"
A brief nod and a hard swallow later, he answered, "Yeah. Odd situation, eh? I've seen a lot of things in my time, but cursed mirrors are pretty unusual. A lot of odd things have been going on lately, really. Been keeping us busy!"<i></i>
"You're telling me! This is the fourth call in a weak about an unusual object or occurrence. It's the time of the year, I swear. Crazies come out, even craziers meet those crazies and make crazy babies."
Uri chose to ignore that comment because the insinuations were too far for his imagination to work with. As he finished his last bite and put the box away he looked at the brightly colored structure. It had painted clowns and animals on it. Large portions of it were covered up where the mirrors would looked outwards; precautionary in case everything had become demonized. Uri picked up a rock from the dirt near his feet and began tossing it up and down, looking at it and then at the building. The chuunin looked at him with a raised eyebrow, "I don't think you'll be able to destroy those mirrors with that, chief."
Uri shrugged, wound up his arm and hurled the stone. As it neared, a large shadow consumed the area. A massive boulder descended from above and crushed the entire structure, the mirror shattering into millions of pieces. The chuunin nearby stood in awe from the surprising turn of events. Before the leader could speak up, the boulder exploded and blew them all onto their bottoms. When the dust cleared, the house was nothing anymore. As if it never had existed.
"See? I knew the rock would work."<i></i>
