Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

A caravan coming down the road seeing a man sprinting out of the forest tree lines towards them and looking back did seem a bit odd. The fact he jumped from one man’s shoulder to the next up into the cart onto the canopy and out into the top over the tree line was odder.

The part where he yelled out, ”Everyone DOWN! NOW!” made it a truly odd experience coupled with the whirling sound and the fireball that came flying by chasing him before the explosion went off.

*Flashback fifteen minutes ago*
Kamaru looked at the man next to him that was his contact. Kazu Toma was an entertainer of sorts and had been mildly sweating since Kamaru had meet him. Having figured something was off eventually having a knife a few centimeters from his eye while Kamaru held him down had him focused on talking. Kamaru was supposed to be getting guided to the point where he’d meet a man, get an object and have an hour to transport it to the destination. Thirty minutes ago someone else had showed up and most likely stolen and/or beaten the object out of the person holding it. Knocking his would be contact out after finding out the actual meeting place Kamaru found himself on an odd mission rewrite of sorts now.
*End Flash Back*

*Flashback Ten minutes ago*
The running man didn’t see Kamaru’s foot coming from around the corner as it connected with his nose causing his vision to flash before everything turned skyward against his control. Kamaru riffled through the body finding the relic he was suppose to have picked up. Doing the math he had ten minutes to get to Akasora Town, deliver the item and not get killed or robbed in the process. Already out of site of the man seeing a signal flare shoot into the sky from where he just was Kamaru sighed not having a good feeling about it.

The first arrow came almost knicking his cheek before it imbedded in a tree. The sharp chirp was all Kamaru heard before the explosion followed, splintered wood scattering about and the tree falling with Kamaru scrambling on route to his destination. He didn’t want to take a lot of damage but he also didn’t want to slow down and give his attacker more attempts to kill him.

Kamaru lost track of how many attacks came he needed to move out of the range of, barrel through, or circumvent and still not lose speed. Pit traps, electrocution by lightning rod, being burnt alive, a sudden wave of water turning to ice, even being partially blinding in light and darkness had been thrown at him. Poisons had been used but a fast metabolic state and pushing toxins out of his body were Kamaru’s only option. Standing to fight was out and the other party seemed to know it. Always just out of reach Kamaru kept making his hunter pull out long range attempts to slow him down never giving him enough time to fully stop him or plan out moves that would work.

Kamaru had been doing the math, sticking to brightly lit open areas although at extreme range for his attacker he was definitely out in the open, and for the greater part of ten minutes his attacker had been constantly shooting. Kamaru was hoping the man was a professional of sorts and the game of his own attack was psychological. While he couldn’t stop to attack slight glimpses had given him time to rack up genjutsu on his attacker out of defensive purposes to keep his attacker as far and as dull on his attacks as possible. Painting a large bull's-eye on his back some would think was a foolish move, but because of that tunnel vision it was easier for him to figure out when attacks were coming, where they were coming from, and mount a counterattack to debuff the attacker slowly.

Kamaru hadn’t figured out why the attacks had slowed until he saw an arrow coming at him catch fire. Diving into cover on the fly Kamaru looked back and realized his attacker was less focused now on slowing down and killing him and primarily making sure attacks were more likely to hit. To be fair Kamaru thought it made sense but as the recipient he did not like this turn of events as he rounded a corner. People. That made things worse. If his attacker opted to saturate an area with a large amount of attacks Kamaru would have to stop to help others. One thing came to Kamaru’s mind. He’d have to apologize after the fact probably.
[End Flashback]

In a way it was aggravating not hitting his query but at the time the hunt went on and it was enjoyable in a way. Coming down the road he moved at and then through a caravan. He tried not to slow but he kind of wondered. Seeing some injured, a man nursing a broken nose from some man’s flying knee, another who had a cold beverage ripped from his hand before being tossed into the underbrush, others that had tried to stop the man had been injured as well, a series of children who had their snacks eaten out of their hands from a ‘bad man’ and several blushing ladies who had been felt up as some vagabond had waylaid the group moving through their ranks. The man seemed more demon based on morals then his hunter he though.

The archer couldn’t believe it, his target seemed more the bad guy then himself. And on top of that he felt mildly responsible since his lack of rapid attacks had unleashed the lecherous man’s habits on these people. As he moved down the road getting good descriptions of the dead eyed courier he moved off with promises of righting their wrongs. Initially thinking of slowing the man with taking out a bystander had come to mind to gain some ground but this man seemed to have no shame or care. He actually felt like killing him would be a service for morally upright people. He wasn’t one of them but he liked to thinking helping them out was a good deed.

After a few second with the man out of sight someone tapped the side of a cart. Kamaru popped up from underneath wares and blankets and apologized especially to the men who were injured purposely. With promises buy snacks to children that never had any to steal and woman gifts for not feeling them up but ogling them enough that they were read in the face Kamaru moved in a direct line to his target destination. If he had had someone chasing him he’d have had a hard time dealing with him and delivering the object on time.

Out of breath Kamaru gave the relic to a priest finding out it was for a wedding. About to dismiss the whole process he stopped and looked at the couple next to the priest and the people there to watch the ritual. Kamaru was about to leave when the priest reminded him he’d have to take the relic back. Kamaru sighed and waited as the ritual went through it’s paces. It seemed nice in a way but as he looked around he saw someone looking at him from the crowd and level a bow with an arrow nocked. Moving through the crowd as they stood and cheered with the ceremony over Kamaru grabbed the relic from the priest and took off. No sense fighting him when Kamaru had time to take a break, better to wear the man all the way out before trying to counter the attacks.
