Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Upon their departure, the three set off in separate directions. Both of Shidousha's parents were tasked with missions which beckoned their attention, and so the boy was left to his own burdens of traveling home from the academy. Of course, this wouldn't be that big of a deal apart from the fact that their homestead was located within the district of The Hidden Clouds known commonly as Cronopolis--the village's slums. The young boy, instilled within a firey enthusiasm that he was simply invincible with his new acquisition of a seat within the ninja academy, seemed to be devoid of concern at this prospect despite his over-protective mother's instruction to not divert from the straight path which led home.

"Don't worry, mom! I'm going to be a ninja now~!" He said reassuringly, his youthful expression light and joyful, brandishing features which were accompanied by a lengthened toothy grin and illuminated hazel hues. In reply, he received a warm smile and a simple nod before his mother had left--by then his father was gone who was less concerned with the boy's welfare relative to his maturing as an independent boy. Upon her departure, he ventured on his own way down the path that took him away from the grand structure that was a beacon of knowledge and progression.

The path he set upon was paved by a dirt road, one which was broad to accommodate the large flow of traffic that came to and fro from the area on a daily basis. The crowd was large, and thick, plentiful and diverse as both shinobi and civilian traveled upon it with purpose of both personal and business. Shidousha, being a boy of small physique, disappeared within the crowd as he maneuvered through the masses with side-steps and lunges forward between unsuspecting groups of by passers upon seperation of paths and openings that allowed him to get to his destination at a faster rate than simply moving with the flow of traffic.

It wasn't long before he entered Cronopolis, and as easily assumed, the traffic grew somewhat more dense as it always seemed the poor was more plentiful than the better off. What was once pleasant aroma lingering within the air he once occupied had transitioned to bad odor, though it was something he had grown accustomed as he had existed within such conditions for some time. It wasn't that bad, but it was definitely different. The crowd became so thick that fustration consumed the boy and he sought to find a way around, which was easily concocted as there were many alleyways and such forth that would allow him to by-pass traffic...That being said, those alleyways were home to many shadowy and untrustworthy inhabitance. He made a turn into one of the alleyways, and by then, dusk had set upon the horizon and what little sunlight remained did not reach the alleyways where shadows encroached.

"..." As he pivoted, facing the alleway as he remained at the foot of it, those curious hazel optics peered with hesitation down the length of the alleyway. It seemed empty, apart from a scurrying cat who moved from one trash can to the next--knocking over the initial one in the process which startled the young academy student at first. "I got this...I am going to be a ninja!" He thought to himself, the thought of confidence instilling the courage necessary for him to step within the alley way and continue on forward.

Osuteno casually walked along the sides of the taller buildings in the Cronopolis wearing on of his flowery kimonos. He had never been to the Cronopolis before and after hearing about just how bad the poverty was here he volunteered to head down to one of the clinics and see for himself. While he had spent most of his life as an orphan he had spent that time in the Susukino District's merchant neighborhoods and lived a middle class lifestyle. Upon discovering his Chigokai blood the Clan had rather forcefully adopted him and he now lived an extremely unsettling upper class lifestyle in the Seki District. While that life had many of its own difficulties, Osu was not one to complain about how well his cards were laid out. Regardless, he had never imagined that so many people faced such destitution in Kumo.

That day he had to deal with so many cases of malnutrition and diseases born from poor sanitation, among several other diseases of poverty, it made him a little sick to his stomach that he had fine meals and baths whenever he wished for them. It had been a very long day. Not to say everyone in the Cronopolis lived that way but a very disproportionate number of them did. He now knew why one of his cousins spent so much time on her soup kitchen over here.

Admittedly, and a bit shamefully, he was glad he waited this long to see the district himself. A little more than a year ago he lacked the chakra control to walk up here out of the reach of the streets below. This could be a very rough place with as many desperate people as there were and he preferred not to hurt people being a medic-in-training and all. He already had to injure a couple people attempted to rob the clinic today and made the mistake of thinking he was a defenseless little girl (he had been unsure which out of those three injured his manly pride the most though they were very common thoughts concerning him). The scene had been quite bloody (his own blood not the attempted robbers') and he had to leave after capturing them mostly unharmed because he had frightened the patients. No, today had not gone that well at all, he thought to himself sighing.

As dusk was darkening the sky the sideways nine-year-old took a moment to look "up" at the mountain peaks. It looked like tonight was going to be a relatively clear night. It was rare for the sky to remain clear for so many nights in a row, without rain or snow. As he looked around he saw someone around his age enter one of the alleys. That wasn't a very safe thing to do. He once had a near deadly experience in some alley ways when he was an academy student and was only saved thanks to Satou being around. He had no illusions about being anywhere near as strong as the man, but he had never seen the boy around and he knew most of the shinobi around his age. Osu decided he would check on him and possibly follow along for a bit just to make sure nothing bad happened to him in those dark alleyways. He was well manly and strong enough to handle most thugs.

Osu dropped a couple stories and landed rather quietly beside and slightly behind the boy. Up close he saw that the other kid looked a bit older and a few inches taller than himself. "It isn't that safe to walk alone through the alleys around here, you never know just who or what you might run across," he said in a conversational tone. With a slight walking bow he said, "I am Chigokai Osuteno by the way. Would you mind if I walked with you for a ways? There is some small safety in numbers after all." Osu's appearance was harmless enough though he had not thought about how his sudden appearance might be taken. It wasn't everyday such a figure of manliness dropped from the sky after all. He had taken this approach because he did not want to be so rude as to suggest that the other boy could not take care of himself and it was rude to follow someone without addressing them or asking their permission. At least it would have felt rather rude.

He'd heard about how bad it had gotten in the Chronopolis over the past few years, far worse than before that when it had perhaps prospered under Shin's rule. The stark contrast to how it fared when trade had been all but slowed and the idea of illegal deals became more a requirement to survival. Yet like everything else he needed to see this for himself, he was never one to act on the words of others, he needed evidence that things needed to happen.

Donning a rather ragged looking cloak he set off to the area and investigate what went down there. His rather massive frame was hard to hide, though he did what he could, walking hunched over and with his shoulders drawn in, looking out through the top of his hood with his one good eye. Still he was big enough that most wouldn't try and mess with him. Even hunched over like this he would still be well over six feet tall, and clearly a decent amount of mass underneath the cloak.

Walking through the streets he could see how things were on the mend. A couple of new shops opening up, though the painted tags on the walls down the sides of the buildings and fences were still everywhere. Yet even this was still the better part of the area, and Akira knew from his time in ANBU where the traditional darker areas were and where troubles took place.

Patience was key here, no-one would do anything while a man his size and build walked nearby. No, things would only happen around him if he became part of the background, part of the noise of the area. Nothing to look at, nothing to worry about. Unfortunately he didn't have months to integrate himself into the society and become something normal, he only really had an afternoon and maybe a night, so he'd have to employ some other techniques.

It was still early when he walked these streets, the mass of people would increase, which would further increase the safety to those dealing in the backstreets as noise would become such that none would second guess it. In the end he decided on a strategy, though it was a risky one in many ways.

There was a network of back alleys which most people avoided, they knew that these weren't areas for people to casually wander. Too often they were the location where people died, where people ended up getting hurt one way or another. So instead of wandering through there later on he instead picked up a bottle of sake, went in, found himself a spot among some trash, poured some liquor over himself to give that ripe smell, and then lay there.

He'd wait, and watch, and see just how bad things really were.

----------time passes------------

A voice was heard, it was a younger voice than he'd expected. He'd not seen much, a few dodgy people, a couple kicking him for the joy of it, no intent to truly injure or harm him in any way though so he didn't act on it. That wasn't why he was here after all. The young voice introduced itself as a member of the Chigokai clan, the other name was one Akira was aware of as well. He was Kitsune's student if Akira remembered correctly.

He was offering to walk with him a ways. It was fair enough, though Akira couldn't see what the other was like. Certainly he hoped that this Osuteno wasn't one of the trouble makers in the area, that wouldn't do well, especially with Akira's recent run ins with his sensei.

The pair would likely pass Akira reasonably soon. Slouched against a wall, stinking of alcohol, surrounded by trash. A fitting first impression for a Raikage to make. A smile on his face, caused by his own amusement hidden by the hood.

This wasn't his first rodeo in relevance to traveling through the area, though on the other hand, had some lowly thugs jumped him when he was alone he'd surely be defenseless. That being said, as the voice announced itself behind him, its presence not yet perceived by the young boy even though he had dropped from the top of a building, Shidousha spun around in fright. After all, he was a ten-year-old kid who barely knew how to to handle a kunai or throw a shuriken with enough skill to stick into anything. As he pivoted, facing towards the other completely, notably widened hazel eyes were employed with lips that were barely parted--unsure if he should yell for help or not.

He wasn't sure if he should laugh, but he cracked a smile at the very least. Upon realization as to who was behind him, he felt embarrassed that he had appeared to be so scared and taken off guard. After all, who stood before him seemed to be younger and smaller in stature than himself and based on the fact that his father and mother served in the shinobi army and he himself had been accepted as an academy student; an unnecessary swelling of pride that was developed by the naive mind of a young boy surmised that he was above being scared as he was just then.

He examined the other closely, taking in his, what appeared to be, feminine appearance which left the young boy wondering if it was a girl. After all, the voice of the other reflected that of a male, however due to the lack of maturity within the voice--such remained an enigma still. Neverthone couldn't help but notice the one thing that was consistently indicative of a shinobi--the headband which was strapped (I'm assuming) to the other's forehead. Shidousha was surprised, mostly because by appearance the other seemed to be younger yet he had already accomplished passing the genin examination which Shidousha hadn't even started studying for officially. It left him with a bad taste in his mouth--one that was reminiscent of mediocrity.

"You are a shinobi?" His voice was young, unaffected by puberty, as well as that it carried a hint of anxiety as he spoke. He was still a little nervous, after all--the cat had knocked over the trash can which had initially surprised him before the arrival of the genin. He noticed the tone of his voice and sought to revert it back to his normal nature as well as doing the same for his over-all demeanor. "Uh, sure, I'll walk you through....My name is Kurimuzon Shidousha," He said, his wording indicating that he was the one accompanying the other and not the other way around. Needless to say, he understood the situation. With that being said, he turned around and beckoned the other with slender digits that waved him down the alleyway.

The encroaching shadows reached effortlessly to encumber the entirety of the alleyway. One or two lights which were fixed at certain door ways illuminated a minute portion of the alley but for the most part it was hidden within a veil of darkness. By this point, as he progressed, he would be at the side of the other as thoughts ran through his head regarding the other's profession and abilities as a shinobi. Within the mind of a young kid, the expectations were limitless. "So---" They passed the Raikage, which undoubtedly neither knew it was him, and so Shidousha continued on cautiously watching the other out of the corner of his eye. His voice ceased and his steps became more measured as though he was ready to run at any moment. He wasn't as frightened though since he was in the company of a shinobi.

Just then, a trash can turned over, and a figure lunged from the depths of darkness that settled within a corner of the alleyway, a junction without light that was formed by two intersecting buildings. Shidousha wasn't ready for it, and without even giving thought to it, his only hope was that the other was prepared for such a situation as his attention was still wholly upon the individual behind them.

The other boy spun rather sharply at Osu's introduction, but he seemed friendly enough though with that smile, though he looked a bit flushed for some reason. Perhaps he had a fever? He was certainly staring a lot. He watched the other boy's eye widen as he stared at Osu's forehead. Whoops. Osu had forgotten he had left that there from where he was working. He loosened the headband and let it fall to his neck where it hung like a necklace as he normally did. The other boy had an odd expression that Osu was having trouble placing.
"You are a shinobi?"

After a few seconds Osu nodded. "Hai, I am an MiT of the Medical Branch." He had not meant to mention he was a shinobi but he messed up. It was just as well though for Kurimuzon Shidousha, as his name turned out to be, was still accepting assistance. "it is a pleasure to meet you Kurimuzon-San." Shidousha, oddly enough, seemed a bit more cautious than he did before Osu had dropped in. Did he put Shidousha on edge? He hoped that wasn't the case, he was just here to offer some assistance if needed.

It reminded him a bit of his experience just a couple hours ago. He was not used to people being afraid of him, but he just couldn't help that the techniques he was proficient with, aside from medical ninjutsu, were a bit intimidating. Maybe if he stopped using the shapes he did... It occurred to Osu it was getting a bit harder to see, though he was quite aware of his surroundings, at least he was of the people. There were only a few of them that he knew of as he couldn't hear far past the walls but he heard the blood rushing in the men resting in the garbage. They even passed a particularly huge one, who Osu couldn't help but stare at for a second until he realized what he was doing and turned his head forward. That had been an incredibly rude thing to do. He made a metal note to come back by here after the other boy was out of harm's way and possibly lead these men to his cousin's soup kitchen but he sighed as he realized just how many people there were that might...

Two, spider-like limbs sprang forth from Osu's back, one piercing through the trashcan into the ground and the other hovering above the head of the man who had just attempted to jump them. The dark crimson limbs were longer than Osu himself was but were about as thin as his arms. Still he wasn't used to making objects this large with his Henomancer's Gift and they were not as solid as the smaller objects he Usually made with them. Because of this a thin stream of blood continuously dripped from the tip from one onto the terrified man and a puddle was forming where the other was in the ground. "I am sorry if I frightened you sir," the child said with a voice of sincere concern, "Are you or any of your friends in need of any assistance?"

Around them four more men had begun to step out with daggers and pipes but were now clearly hesitating. The man Osu had at "spear-point" seemed to have lost control of his legs as he dipped his fingers into the blood on his forehead and fell to the ground, but the others began to circle around them, if rather cautiously. The "spear" that Osu had pointing at the man slowly turned the other way to act as a buffer between Shidousha and the thugs. Quietly Osu whispered, "It appears rather than scaring them off, I have made them feel cornered. Are you capable of fighting?" He really disliked hurting people, which is why he had started using these unusual weapons as a deterrent. It seemed he still had some work to do with that. The "spear" that had pierced the garbage can was now turning to aim at the man directly behind him. "We need to get our backs to one of these walls. Slowly. No need to make them feel rushed into action." He was a little proud that he sounded so professional quoting academy lectures.

The pair passed him, the one in a kimono staring at him as they passed. He wasn't familiar with either face so he couldn't guess who was who. At least not at that moment he couldn't. From under the hood he watched, though his head didn't turn, only his eye moved with them. It would seem as though he were sleeping, some bum sleeping in an alley, down on his luck.

It seemed like only moments after they were out of Akira's natural sight that someone jumped out at them. The sound of a trashcan turning over sounded less like one caused by a cat, which would require it being fairly empty, and more of that forced by a human, the contents spilling into the alley, the more dull sound of it landing alerting Akira to the situation. Activating his byakugan he looked down to see where they were and what was happening. When his sight caught up with the others it seemed he wasn't needed yet, if at all, and he wanted to observe for now anyway. He had heard the voice of Osuteno, and then as he could see the muscles in the jaw moving as the voice was produced he knew which of the two he was. Red limbs had seemingly sprouted from him, and hovered above the head of the one before the pair.

If Akira had been less familiar with the blood techniques, and less aware of the Chigokai clan, he might have wondered if he was one of the various Hachiashi clans.

Still it seemed like more had arrived, the man wasn't acting alone, though Akira was unsure of their strength. Certainly he could see their chakra lines, but that was often not the best judge of skill. Many of his most fierce opponents had been far weaker than him in chakra.

Watching the pair place their backs to a wall he wondered how this would turn out. The voice of Osuteno was quiet, too quiet for him to make out the words, but reading lips was one of the skills he'd learned a long time ago. He was also cautious, which meant one of two things to Akira, either he was simply a cautious type, or he wasn't confident in his own combat abilities.

Very well then. Akira would see what he could do to help the pair without directly helping them. Shuffling around as if uncomfortable (which he was) he knocked over a few bins, the loud crashing now coming from behind a couple of the men forced them to turn their heads, giving the pair a small opening in the defenses. Akira did hope they would take it. And from where he now lay he had a direct line to what was happening if he needed to lend further aid.

They made it to the wall but the other boy had fallen silent. It seemed Osu had to handle this on his own. The one was still recovering but the other three had begun to form a semi-circle around them. He really hated hurting people. "Retreat or surrender," he said calmly moving in front of the other child. They didn't move. He pulled his headband up from his neck and back around his forehead to once more make it obvious he was a shinobi of the village. "Retreat or surrender," he said a bit sterner, well stern for a child. That always seemed to be his problem, both as a shinobi and a doctor. People had trouble taking him seriously due to his age. He wished he were a bit older already. They slowly moved in.

He raised his hands and made two sets of hand seals. He wanted to end this without fighting but for some reason these men were not being sensible. The first made a barrier around the other boy, the second began the creation of a Bloody Mist. The red fog started creeping towards one of the men. Should you stay this mist will very likely kill you. Should you attack I will be more aggressive." It was a bluff of course. Osu had never killed another person before and would heal them should they be injured but he wanted to let them just leave in peace. The one who he had held at spear point earlier finally took his chance to run but the other three remained. It was insanity. What reason could they have to be so determined? As the red mist approached the man on Osu's left the other two started in. The spider leg-like spears shifted into giant crimson wings. They were much too heavy for flight but a few flaps filled the alley in a storm of bloody projectiles. Only one was left standing and he was screaming in the bloody mist that surrounded and followed him. Another heartbeat suddenly entered the range of Osu's hearing and he barely rolled out of the way in time.

A really big and rough looking man with faded tattoos covering his upper body was standing where Osu had just moments before and was brushing his shoulder off while sneering at Osu. "Naughty naughty little rabbit. Your mummy wouldn't be very happy with you getting your dress dirty in Shishi's alley now would she? You and your friend there should come quietly with Ol' Shishi. Spend a few fun days together while we arrange the ransom for your parents. Surrender and Shishi won't have to be rough with ya." There was so much about that which concerned Osu.

The man in the mist had collapsed and it was then that Osu understood that these guys were likely more afraid of the individual before him than they were of him. He honestly couldn't blame them. The guy had like two feet and 200 pounds on him and then some. This was a ridiculously unfair match-up. He began to flap those huge wings of his again but Shishi darted forward and grabbed the wings mid flap. For a brief moment the two were locked motionless and Shishi looked rather pleased before shifting the direction of his strength, lifting Osu off the ground by his wings and headbutting Osu in the gut. All the air left Osu's gut and he lost his wings as they were pulled from him which thankfully was painless despite how it looked. He tried to tell the other boy to make a run for it but nothing came out of his throat except gasping for air and some of his lunch.

The big man known as Shishi laughed as his picked up Osu by the scruff of his kimono and lifted him up and turning to look at the barrier Osu had left. "Not a bad dance at all sweetheart but you're still a bit on the small side to be taking ol' Shishi." He laughed as they moved forward and even though he was still having trouble breathing he placed a hand on the side of Shishi's arm and injected a few drops of his blood in. In moments Shishi's veins were on fire and he howled in pain before slamming Osu into the wall repeatedly until he let the technique go. "That was a very bad move little rabbit. After we get your friend there and the names of your families out of ya we are going to have a few days where Shishi here will correct that nasty little behavior of yours."

On the outside Osu just didn't have the energy to move anymore. On the inside things were still a bit heated. "Those men need medical attention. It needed to be done a minute or two ago now.

"Those men?! Forget those damn peasants! We are about to be broken in half by this ugly ass son of an alley rat!"

"That is a legitimate concern. Things are looking rather bleak. Wait till he finds out I am not a girl. I swear I almost think he is being gentle."

The other voice snorted, "Oh yeah lucky us that for some reason so many people make that mistake for some reason, though I am willing to bet that it would be better to clear up that particular error sooner rather than later, at least with this fellow. I would normally offer to kill him but you have gotten us pretty broken. Would have been better if I had the helm from the start."

"Yeah I'm sorry about that, but I am sure that you wouldn't have bothered to save the other boy or hold back against the other four."

"But of course I wouldn't."

That made Osu feel a little better about the situation at least he didn't let that odd crazy side of him kill anyone. He did need to save the other boy somehow, though it wasn't like he was in much shape to do so. He began rolling his eyes around trying to find some way out of this but nothing was coming to him.

Akira watched Osu form a barrier and then create Bloody Mist, a jutsu he himself was quite aware of. Silently he picked himself off the ground, though it seemed Osu had it under control. Several blood projectiles scattered from his now formed blood wings taking out most of the group and the mist took the other. But there was other movement, quicker, stronger. Damn he thought as he stood there watching.

The man had slammed into the wall, clearly aiming for Osu, but the boy had moved in time.

Osu attempted the same assault he had earlier, but the other was quick despite his size, grabbing the wings and thus being too close for the ranged attack to be effective. The man ripped the wings from the boys form, Akira was unsure how that would have felt for the boy, but figured the loss of chakra in the blood would have been a bit of a loss, but also the blood loss from such an event. Though in saying that he couldn't be certain, he hoped the boy was okay.

He stumbled and that told Akira all he needed to know. The loss had been substantial. Osu vomited on the ground at the mans feet, but the other didn't seem to notice or care as he grabbed Osu by the kimono and lifted him into the air. Despite his predicament Akira watched as Osu attempted another attack, injecting some of his blood into the other. Unfortunately it seemed the other guessed what was happening and slammed him into a wall multiple times.

Akira could see that his consciousness was probably wavering. He stepped closer, now less than five meters away from the pair, and at his feet was one of the earlier casualties. Looking to Osu he could see the boy looking around, till his eyes would see the 'homeless' man in the alley. An equal size, perhaps larger, to the man who held him from the ground.

Would you mind putting the boy down? You will need both hands for this. He said to the other man in the alley. The grip would immediately drop Osu, no hesitation, no mucking around, he came full power at Akira without taking in who his opponent was or anything. Elbow first he rushed Akira, but to Akira it was slow. His byakugan was already active, and his hand moved up, and without moving anything besides that he stopped the mans attack.

A blast from the pressure erupted from the contact, a slight look of confusion on the mans face quickly changed to anger "I see your trick bum. Don't think I can't tell you're a Hyuuga." He went to kick Akira, Akira lifting his leg to block it, but this time being pushed backwards by the strike.

"I bet you thought you'd come in here and save the day didn't you? All big and strong, thought you could intimidate Shishi. Well you're wrong. The man now walked towards Akira Shishi's gonna take those eyes of yours and sell them to the highest bidder. He grinned maliciously at Akira as he closed the gap.

Pulling back his hood Akira revealed the lack of one of his eyes, the spiked hair, the scars of a thousand battles, the grin of a man who had looked for a reason to lash out at someone I'm sorry Shishi, but my friends died recently and I haven't had the proper opportunity to resolve that. I'll try not to kill you.

Suddenly to everyone in the alley there would be an overwhelming sense of dread which seemed to come directly from Akira, slowing their reactions, a fear which couldn't be mistaken for anything else. Shishi's advance stopped mid track, a voice coming from him was not that of just moments before "What... are... you... doing... here." He said, his foot suddenly stepping back from his previous target.

I'm here looking for a fight. Akira said, stepping forwards towards his opponent, suddenly seeming larger than he had before. His hand outstretched and flying through the alley arrived a massive sword. I technically don't need this, but I want Shinbatsu to watch. Suddenly on the hilt of the blade an apparently metal oval shape suddenly opened like an eye, an Uchiha's mangekyou looking around, and then focusing on Shishi. But then the weapon began to shrink, armour forming across Akira's body, and at the last a helm shaped like a vicious wolf-head from a nightmare covered Akira's features. In the eye ports where Akira's lack of eye had once been now glowed red, the same red as the Mangekyou had been.

At this show Shishi had apparently had enough. Running didn't seem to be an option to Shishi, so instead he attacked. Akira didn't even bother blocking them as fists slammed into his armour, blood began to rain from the conflict, but not from Akira but rather from Shishi's fists themselves as they were sliced up from the metal. In a frighteningly quick movement Akira smashed his own fist into Shishi, but it didn't act like an ordinary punch, the mans eyes bulged as fire blossumed between the two, an explosion like that of a ninjutsu engulfing Shishi for a moment before Osu would watch as the man would fly past him.

In that same moment, as the body flew past him, Osu may notice that the wound in the other mans stomach was a slice, like that from a sword, and then suddenly the armoured form of Akira was there again, his hands clenched over his head above Shishi, the target not even being given enough time to hit a wall from the first attack as Akira slammed both fists into Shishi's upper back. Blood erupted from the attack as blade like slices ran across his skin, and then four waves of shadows seemed to erupt from the impact as well, sending Shishi into the ground at Akira's feet, before the two young boys.

Stand up and fight Shishi. Akira's voice was now distorted, like it wasn't just him saying what he was saying anymore, that two voices spoke at the same time instead of just one.

The mans body moved slightly, his hand pressing against the ground.

Yes, good, stand, fight me. An eagerness in the voice was also shown in his movements, if Shishi stood it would only be met with further violence, more power than the man could probably handle.

But the hand slid across the ground, the strength fading from him, unable to stand, unable to move.

Akira acted instead, a growl coming from him as he grabbed the back of the mans head and pulled him up with his left hand, letting go his right hand grabbed the man by his shirt and he held him up. His eyes were rolling around in his skull, consciousness there, but only barely. They would look up at Akira, then away towards Osu.

Not a bad dance at all sweetheart, but you're still a bit on the small side to be taking me on. The voices were calmer now, he pushed slightly and let the body fall backwards to the concrete. The crack of the skull on the pavement seemingly not worrying Akira.

The helm pulled back, the armour falling away from him and once more creating the massive blade that he'd held earlier. Looking to Osu he formed some handseals to create Mystical Hand, he still smelled of alcohol, but at this range it would be clear it wasn't on his breath.

How are you feeling? He asked, his voice clearly caring about the health of the boy.

This was going very poorly and Osu just wasn't finding a way out of the situation. Raiden his head hurt. Well to be completely honest his everything hurt, but focusing on that would not get him and the other boy out of this mess. What was more than a little surprising was when he locked eyes with the rather large homeless man. He wasn't prepared to be tossed aside and see the two men start fighting. He also was not expecting the homeless man to have the Byakugan. As everything progressed Osu began wondering just how hard Shishi had slammed his head into the wall as it seemed the homeless man was not a homeless man after all, not with the battle scars, the sword with the Mangekyou, nor the sword's sudden transformation into armor. If Osu didn't know any better he would say that the poor homeless man had been the Raikage all along.

The thing was, Shishi was truly panicked now and rushed to attack the rather unbelievable person before them. Osu could see plain as day the man who had just tore him apart has now fighting like an animal backed into a corner. The attack was less than ineffective and rather seemed to have harmed Shishi without even scratching Saito. Saito returned a single punch that exploded into flames but the wound it left was that of a slashing weapon. As Shishi collided with the wall Osu witnessed, or rather failed to witness, just how fast the Raikage could move as he was already there waiting to introduce Shishi to the ground with a slam. That little voice that seemed to haunt Osu's mind was humming pleasantly as the scene became bloodier and bloodier.

Osu, currently laying on the ground stared the short distance to Shishi in a similar position. Perhaps there was something of karma at work here. The Raikage was getting a bit scary though as he got a weird voice thing going and was really wanting to tear more out of Shishi. After what Osu swore was a joke the Raikage's armor became a sword again and he came over and started treating Osu's wounds. How was he feeling? "I think I might take a break from physical training for a day or three Sir. A few light injuries, nothing broken except my confidence, maybe a concussion, and it is still a bit difficult to breathe. I liked your punchline there at the end Raikage-Sama." Osu looked at the other men in the alleyway and sighed, "They are all bleeding rather badly, I should treat them in the next couple minutes. The big one will die if not treated soon." As he tried to get help to help the man Osu 's hand shot to his bruised gut where the very man he wanted to treat had headbutted him and he went back to how he had been laying. Maybe it would be best just to let the Raikage finish treating him before trying to help someone else. "Raikage-Sama, I hope it isn't rude to ask, but I don't suppose you often cover yourself with alcohol and pretend to be a homeless man while dispensing back-alley justice?"

Akira smiled a little as Osuteno spoke up, mentioning the joke. When he donned the armour it was more than just himself fighting, but few knew that, it was as though he were fighting alongside Shinbatsu, like when he was younger. His actions in the suit sometimes seemed to be controlled by his master as well, that line... in his own vision he'd watched Shinbatsu deliver it. It was the kind of thing he would do before Akira, to show Akira how strong he was, but also to lighten the mood.

He knew that in reality it was him speaking the words, it was only a single body, and he had total control over what happened, but everytime he shifted the armour back into a sword he had to say goodbye to his master again. The sadness of the departure far too real.

The young boy finished off by asking about whether this is what he got up to in his spare time, which made Akira chuckle a little. His handseals began and ended in a familiar flurry of symbols that Osu would recognise as mystical hand and the healing effects would begin on the young boy, clearing his head.

This is far from the norm for me. I had heard talk of how things had gotten worse in the area during the final few months of Shin's reign, the cutting off of trade at the gates causing many to go hungry and turn to crime. I thought I'd see how bad it was.

By the time he'd finished talking the boys head would have cleared up, the hand moving to the chest to knit any damage there.

I'm sorry I only know very basic medical techniques. After you're healed to a point where you can treat these men easily I'll rely on you to point out the ones who only need basic treatments, I'll deal with those and you can deal with the ones who require more substantial aid. Akira was quite aware of his own weaknesses. Though he was tempted to enlist in the medical branch and receive the training that a medical specialist was able to have.

He felt that it might be worth it for a Raikage to be more aware of medical techniques.

Osu was surprised by Saito's chuckle and nodded at the Raikage's explanation of his undercover investigation. He had seen some of the effects from the gate closing and even some from its sudden reopening outside the village. Osu didn't want to be disrespectful about a Raikage but a number of people in the village had been hurt by that particular policy. But what was done was done and there was little to be accomplished by worrying about what should have been done.

As Saito continued to heal him he said something that surprised Osu. It had never occurred to the child that he might be as proficient as the Raikage in anything, even perhaps more so. Well at least nothing to do with being a ninja, though most were not med-nin. Osu nodded respectfully. "I can finish sorting myself out and get to work. One of the men i got earlier doesn't need much assistance at all but the other I got with my blood feathers needs care a bit more urgently. He would also be fine without it but if he is treated within the next hour or so his rest time will go down from a month to about a week, If you are good with stopping bleeding their is a man who I used the Red Mist in who needs his bleeding to stop very soon and you should get him first but if you are not don't worry. I should be able to make sure Shishi doesn't die from his injuries and finish up that man's treatment as well. It is mostly a matter of the sooner they are treated the less time they will need to recover."

As Osu got out his med kit and handed Saito some disinfectant, Osu got to work with healing the burns and cuts of Shishi, stitching him up, using some ointments along with the chakra techniques, and telling Inner Osu they were not going to "slice the throat of the sinful peasant who dared to touch them." Inner Osu had become a bit clearer in Osu's mind from all the blood around them but Outer Osu had a firm control and now that the fighting was done Inner Osu's voice was getting quiet again, thankfully. He couldn't afford to go crazy. While he was finishing up with Shishi (who while quite the mess Osu had compromised with his insane side by not giving the man any painkillers since they were not necessary) he looked over at Saito who was working on one of the men Osu had cut up with his blood feathers. "If I may say so Raikage-Sama... You are a lot more approachable and human than I thought you would be." Osu went quiet for a few moments before continuing, "You wouldn't... You might have guessed I was a mednin after you heard me speak about treating those men but typically people assume that I don't know that much since I am by far the youngest MiT. You didn't seem to question my ability at all so it isn't much of a stretch that you might know exactly who I am and who my Sensei is." He had been nervous to ask because this was the very man who had demoted his Sensei for well not protecting a previous Raikage. He was relatively close to Kitsune after being her student for nearly a year now and found the whole situation more than a little awkward and was unsure how that might make people think of him since he stuck by Kitsune.

Akira nodded at the instructions, took the disinfectant and went first to the man who had suffered from the Red Mist. He applied pressure on the wounds to stop the bloodflow, at the same time applying the jutsu Coagulation to stop and slow the bleeding before cleaning the wounds and then using mystical hand on him. Once stabilized he would move onto the next grunt and do what needed to be done while Osu worked on the more damaged meat sack, Shishi.

During the quick treatments of the unconscious would-be assailants, the young boy turned to Akira and decided to speak his mind. Akira looked up from what he was doing as the boy spoke, the first sentence giving Akira a silent chuckle, his shoulders rising and falling, his eye smiling as he looked at the boy. It amused him to find that people thought he wouldn't be approachable. He was a servant of Shinbatsu, but it seemed that over time this meant he was a blood thirsty ANBU Sennin who could and would kill any who crossed him.

He looked back to his patient who let out a slight groan as consciousness began to filter back into his mind. Then with a swift crack, as Akira's fist slammed into the side of the mans head and only concrete on the other side of it, the consciousness would fade once more. Though Akira did look apologetically to Osu after having done so, the boy having only just finished what he'd said before Akira performed the act.

Sorry. Uhm... What had the boy said, or asked... that's right Yes, I know who you are. You might imagine that with the recent events being what they are I have looked into the recent affairs of your sensei and your name popped up. When you introduced yourself to the other boy... which reminded Akira... where had he gone? A slight memory of him fleeing back from where he'd come during the combat meant that he should be okay ... I knew who you were. I wasn't sure which of the two you were at first, but as you walked past you continued to talk so I could figure it out by your voice.

Akira applied the mystical hand to the mans head to make sure that any additional wounds caused by the punch would be healed.

Due to that I have also done some research into who you are as far as village records can tell, but there's not that much they say about you. An orphan adopted by the Chigokai household. Pretty okay academy student, graduated and joined the medical branch. Kitsune as your sensei. I would guess you have a number of very strong females in your life. Akira was well aware of the Chigokai's matriarchal society, and in addition to that the boy was receiving medical training by Kitsune, another strongly opinionated woman.

Perhaps a glint of cheekiness in his eye as he looked up at Osu he asked Do you ever wish you had more male rolemodels around you? He was joking in a way, but curious at the same time. Akira assumed that there were male rolemodels in the boys life, but couldn't be sure. However the Chigokai had produced some of Cloud's strongest in recent years, both male and female, so he assumed that there would be someone amongst them that Osu perhaps looked up to. Or perhaps someone within the medical branch. But then again, perhaps there wasn't.

Osu jumped as he heard Saito's fist collide with the side of the patient's... the criminal's head. He couldn't figure out exactly what the apoligetic look on the Raikage's face was for exactly, but it wasn't an expression he would associate to the strongest ninja in the village. Ah so he had come up during Kitsune-Sensei's investigation and had been listening to him speak with... where did the other boy run off to? He was probably smart and left when he got the chance. Thankfully Saito was fixing the man's skull, it wouldn't be good to put in the effort to heal him only to give him brain damage.

It seemed the village had as few ideas as he did as to where he came from, but that wasn't much of a surprise or disappointment. Osu had come to terms that he would likely never know who his parents were after the clan denied that they had any idea either. He couldn't help but laugh a bit nervously at the comment that he had a number of strong females in his life. His life was completely controlled by them. "I do sometimes wish that," Osu said with a resigned tone. He was so surprised that he said he that he accidentally pulled a bandage too hard and brought a groan out of the patient who had only been a little hurt. He dosed the man with some sleeping medicine and stumbled to clear up what he meant. "Not that I! I mean I am proud of..." Osu sighed as he collected himself for a moment.

"It is a little hard to not be around other guys very often. Tanake, the Clan's Head Butler, and Cousin Junichi are technically around but are always busy. All the other guys I see, and very rarely at that, are around my age. I have seen Junko-Sensei a couple times but never really got to know him. When my Aunt Manane overheard me asking about strong male ninja I had to sit in seiza for a couple hours while being lectured on exactly why our clan is matriarchal." That wasn't exactly a memory he was found of and he shivered as his legs hurt just thinking about it. "I was given the names of a few men from our clan including the more recent Kushin and a few men outside of the clan, but... It is hard to look up to someone you have never met them. I don't believe whether a person is male or female really matters, but all the time people are mistaking me for a girl and I feel it has something to do with that I don't know how men are supposed to act, you know?" It of course had entirely to do with the fact that the women who had raised him since he was young and tricked him into believing that the manliest of men wore floral print kimonos, performed tea ceremonies, arranged flowers, etc etc... and everyone who had ever figured out he was indeed male either found it adorable or hilarious and never corrected his beliefs.

The nine-year-old stood as he looked over the groaning and unconscious figures before him and shook his head in disappointment. "It really is a shame, fixing them up just so they will go to jail. When I help someone I usually like to think they are ready to go back to enjoying life or improving themselves." Maybe he would give Shishi some painkillers...

Akira nodded and listened to Osuteno speak. He was very young but like many his age surprised Akira with their own self-knowledge. But Akira had some advice for the young boy, advice which only years of experience would bring, but advice so commonly ignored by young people.

I don't know if there is any way that men are meant to act. In the end you are who you are, if you enjoy wearing what you're wearing then wear it. He shifted back onto his ankles, it seemed to him like the light repairs were done at his end, at least what he could manage anyway. To be happy in this life you have to be happy with who you are and surround yourself with those who like you for that. Don't worry about those who call you names. They're not worth your time.

Standing he placed a hand to his ear piece This is the Raikage, Akira Saito, I'm in the alleyway which links Enrya and Aion streets in the Cronopolis requesting ANBU personnel to retrieve several unconscious bodies for imprisonment. I witnessed them assault two young children and had to put one down. Medical treatment has been administered. Thank you. There were pauses between different sentences as questions seemed to be asked between them and then answered.

Turning back to Osuteno he said It is a shame, but in the end hopefully they will learn from this experience and improve while in the cells. Perhaps enlist and become shinobi. Who knows. He smiled.

So where were you off to?

The Raikage started saying something that began to sound like a moral but then he suddenly mentioned something about clothing out of nowhere. And then something about name calling and it all just flew right over Osu's head. Did the Raikage have an image problem or something? Surely no one called him names. They would have to be insanely confident in themselves from what he had witnessed as Saito manhandled that huge guy as if he were a child. It was odd if the Raikage was suddenly describing his problems but maybe that was an attempt to be more relatable. It certainly did sound as if the Raikage experienced a rougher treatment than he, considering Osu's biggest problem was people honestly believing he was a girl for who knew what reason. The closest people came to name calling with him was calling him cute and little no matter how many times he asked them to treat him like a shinobi. That and people he knew well really enjoyed teasing him. As Osu tried to figure out where some of what Saito had said came from, the Raikage was reporting the incident in.

After Saito was done with his call he spoke to Osu about them possibly deciding to improve themselves while imprisoned. Osu could not help but think that was a bit overly optimistic but Osu simply nodded. Who knew, maybe they could do it. When Saito asked where he was off to though, Osu's mind sort of blanked. "I'm not quite sure. I was originally going to make sure that other boy got through the alleys safely but it seemed that he was wise enough to get out of here. I was thinking about having him join me for dinner since I haven't had time for even lunch today after my shift at the clinic."

A little secret Osu kept from his Aunt Manane, who was his legal guardian, was that even after a year living with the clan he was still uncomfortable at the thought of eating dinner with her and her two children at a 30 foot long table where the only noises were the clinking of silverware, heartbeats, and the interrogation of the three children by Manane concerning how they spent their day, and she was an extremely difficult woman to please. Osu remembered reporting his promotion from being to an MiT just before his ninth birthday and the only response he received was a raised eyebrow and an almost unnoticeable nod. He was regularly working or training late and ate dinner before coming back to the estate grounds just to avoid the unnerving experience. Thankfully Manane wasn't curious enough about him to inquire though the head butler and a number of the maids gave him lectures about children staying out so late and working too hard.

Actually it was quite late even for him considering how far away from home he was, at least if he wanted to eat some dinner before heading back. "Yes I think I will stop somewhere for dinner next. Don't want to cause trouble for the kitchen staff this late." It was at this moment that Osu realized he had been quite rude. "I must apologize Raikage-Sama, I have yet to thank you for the timely rescue." Osu said offering a deep and formal bow as he spoke. "I cannot thank you enough Sir!"

Akira nodded as the boy explained how he was going for dinner. Akira wasn't aware of what customs there might have been in the clan household and so wouldn't think to question anything to do with it. Then the boy apologized for his not thanking him sooner.

Don't worry about it. Take it as a way to learn that you should have a headset on you at all times and if possible you should learn the flare technique. If you don't know what I'm talking about I would suggest you ask Kitsune to teach it to you. It is possibly the most life saving technique you could learn.

A light touch sounded behind him. Footfall which was skilled enough that it could have been completely silent, but deliberately loud enough for Akira to hear. Osu would have seen him landing anyway, the white mask and the two red teardrops underneath the left eye, red hair flaring out from behind the mask.

As Akira turned another landed behind the first, long white hair, an identical mask, but louder, and immediately after landing moved forward and spoke, unlike the first.

Jesus Saito, look at what you've done here. The voice was playful, almost mocking, One would think they were the ones who'd been ambushed by thugs the way you've treated their wounds. The mans foot pressed against the body of one of the men, then pushed harder which caused the man to moan slightly. Sorry, had to make sure at least one of them had felt some kind of pain during it.

Akira hadn't looked in the white haired mans direction through the entire thing, instead looking at the red haired one, who's head lowered and then shook by the time the other had stopped talking. Akira turned to Osu, a smile on his face.

These two will take care of things. I'll leave you to your dinner. I need a bath. He bowed his head to the youngster before leaving.

Okay. You take the bigger two, I'll take the others. The red haired man said to the other moving towards the bodies.

Sweet. He looked towards Osu.

Head on off young miss, we wont hurt these guys. He then grabbed the body of Shishi and lifted him onto his shoulder before moving to another.

Osu looked at the ANBU who had appeared on the scene and the Raikage's departing back. This had been some evening. Wondering just where the other boy had run off to, Osu headed back up to the rooftops and went on to the Susukino District that way. He was less likely to find anyone getting the drop on him like that up here. It was something to reflect on, during that fight he had relied on what his clan's blood had given him and ended up in a somewhat disgraceful position. He was weak physically, he knew this. His chakra control and ninjutsu abilities were top of his class, but in a close combat fight he was tiny and weak. That was why his style focused on creating distance and striking from afar. That did little good when the opponent was faster and physically stronger than he. He would have to rethink his training regimen. That could be done after eating some dinner of course, he was famished.

The kid left, Koumyou and Akuhei looked around at the guys lying on the ground.

Akuhei kicked Shishi, the man letting out a groan as consciousness returned to him.

So how'd he perform? Akuhei asked the man, Koumyou looking from his sensei to the man at his feet.

You didn't tell me he was this strong...

I'll take that as 'good'. The red mane turned with the head as he looked down past in the direction that Akira had left in.

I'm glad. I wasn't sure how rusty our new Raikage was.

That was rusty? Shishi asked, pulling himself to his feet and looking from Akuhei to Koumyou.

I believe so, yes. Did he don his armour?

Yes?

Mmmm, he shouldn't have needed to do that, even if he was rusty. I think you might have suffered from him venting some frustration as well.

Jesus Saito... What is he like when he's serious?

We don't know. It was Koumyou who answered the man this time, amusement in his voice as his mask turned towards his master.

I suspect that he doesn't normally use physical force.

Why do you say that? Akuhei asked, no confusion in his voice, just asking a question.

If he was venting then it would be understandable for him to use his strength, but if this is all he could do while venting then perhaps he's more into manipulation of a battlefield? Koumyou said, questioning his own logic.

Or he was holding back because he was fighting someone much weaker than himself.

Hey... Shishi began, but was cut off by Koumyou.

Yes, there is that. But then how can we judge his strength?

Wait a... Shishi continued to fail to get a word in edge-ways.

Perhaps we can't. Lets go.

The two left. Shishi stood there and looked at himself. He was huge, strong, agile, a combination not normally considered weak, but when he thought back to the combat he had been manhandled. Not simply beaten, but incapable of fighting back. It was as one sided as he versus the girl. He raised his hands before his face and found them to be shaking. His eyes looked off towards the tower and he wondered... what kind of man could do that... while holding back.
