Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

A long time had passed since Kazuki conducted a lesson in an Academy. In fact, despite his perfect recalling ability, he had no memory of ever giving one in either Tsuchigakure or Sunagakure. Meaning this would mark his first in a very long, long time. The youth of any Hidden Village represented the future, if well groomed, then they were secured, if not, things would went poorly. The Senju Overlord understood and agreed with the notion that knowledge was power and a good education was paramount. He also knew there were countless dangers out there, sometimes even within the walls of a Hidden Village and thus, the youth needed to be prepared for everything. That was why he had decided to conduct a series of lessons focusing on the advantages and disadvantages of the known bloodlines of their world. By knowing such information, the academy students of Sunagakure would be better prepared to face foes of those particular bloodlines in the future, at least he hoped so. Because, regardless of the level of preparation one could have, there was always a level of uncertainty and randomness in any struggle, something no one could prepare to.

After securing a classroom for his class, the White Wolf would place everything to his liking. A blackboard on the back wall, a large table in front of four smaller ones with five comfy chairs for each one. The end wall had a shelf filled with books with many different subjects, going from history to natural science, stopping at philosophy and mythology. Near the large table, there was a mannequin of a perfect replica of a human being, showing muscle, bone, veins and so on. There were three windows in the room, giving it plenty of natural light. The lights, however, were lit up because outside there was a small storm going on. The sky was pitch black and the occasional thunder in the distance could be heard. Rain poured in the abundance in the sky but, luckily, it was still warm enough for those unfortunate people outside.

For those students attending the lesson, they would find, upon entering the room, a very pale man seating behind the larger chair. This guy, one of Sunagakure's own Sennin, had short silvery hair, contrasting with a pair of pitch black orbs that were his eyes. Reaper was dressed with a black and gray robe with silvery trimmings and an open colar, along with a large, red, flowing toga drapped around his body and across his chest. Black combat boots and black pants finished the rest of his choice of clothing. He would be found reading some papers, whose content they would not be able to see. The blackboard would have a single word typed in. "UCHIHA". Upon each entrance, the White Wolf would raise his gaze from the papers he was reading and he would mutter, "Welcome. Take a seat.", before motioning for the student to take a vacant seat and before going back to his reading. His voice was extremely calm, indicating he had all the time in the world and nothing else to do, except for that lesson, which was quite not true.

OC:
Ok, there are only a small list of rules, I like to have.
  • I will never wait for more than a single week before advancing the lesson, thus giving anyone ample of time to post.
  • If you are skipped twice and do not contact me, you're out of the lesson.

The topic of this lesson will be about Uchihas. We will be discussing together was makes an Uchiha good and what their weaknesses are. Note these will be mainly about RP, though advices for BMod battles may also arise. Nonetheless, two of Sand's residents are very good with our battle system (Shiori and Reiko) so you can always question them. Even so, the entire community is super friendly and will gladly help you out.

Re: What cracks an Uchiha [Lesson]

Shin completely lost track of time while studying in his home room. He was trying to get the grasp of his elemental chakra but alas he wasn't having very much success. This wasn't surprising to him though as his strengths tended to lay elsewhere and he didn't follow the path that most shinobi fell on, at least not developmentally. His mind was essentially his only weapon and that was something he knew he needed to strengthen. Whether that be from learning more powerful Genjutsu or creating the most potent poisons he needed to know how to end a fight before it even began. If he was correct on his thinking he could easily overwhelm his target with a bombardment of Genjutsu covering the senses while his poisons did all of the dirty work while the enemy would be completely unaware of what was actually happening. This system made sense, at least on paper, but a lot of ideas are perfect on paper. His problem would be developing the experience needed to execute his plans while knowing their probable rate of success. He still didn't know what it would be like to be in a real fight or to face shinobi with abilities unknown to him. Shin was truly ignorant on this topics and could only address them in conversation based off of his research.

The boy's blond hair and blue eyes tended to stand out in the village of cave-dwellers. Black or brown hair with dark colored eyes seemed to be the dominate trait of this area but he inherited his mother's Yamanaka charm and the physical traits that came with it. His golden locks pulled back into a small knot while his bangs still draped and framed his face. Today he was wearing a more casual attire of a brown plaid long sleeve button up over a small black and yellow shirt. His black pants and boots were nothing special but he looked more like a pedestrian of the city than a shinobi of Sunagakure. Shin's steps were light as his frame was relatively small, which made it obvious that Taijutsu was not his forte. Turning towards the hallway his next class was in he could hear the thunder from outside. Having the exposure to the sky must be different for the village as for the longest time the outside world was dangerous.

As Chikamatsu Shin entered the room he noticed the layout was different than most. His sensei had a large table while there were only five other tabled in the room. Instead of the regular desks the boy assumed these would suffice as he could see a single chair at each table. He heard a voice so his attention was drawn away from the blackboard that said "Uchiha" and to the man leading this class. The man seemed rather odd. For starters the man's eyes were solid black.... This man gave Shin the creeps but he nodded to who he assumed would be his sensei before taking the middle seat and awaited for the rest of the class to arrive.

Kazuki had been reading his papers for a while when the first attendant entered the room. The Senju Overlord would raise his eyes toward the kid, only to observe a blonde haired and blue eyed boy staring back. He was dressed in a very plain attire, easily indistinguishable from most of the non shinobi population of Sunagakure. One would wonder if this boy was an academy student at all, but the choice in vestment was not a requisite for being a shinobi. Only intelligence and skill were, if he had those, then he would do fine. Shin would choose one of the middle seats. Apart from the initial study, the White Wolf would remained focused on his papers, giving the Yamakana some me time to dwell on anything he wished for. In the mean time, he would began to realize the room was very chilly, a deep contrast to the warm corridor he had used to enter this room. The windows were closed and if there were no significant leaks, it could not be credited to the bad weather outside. The entire Academy's heat was provided by a centralized system and it was working, given the temperature in the corridors. So why was it so cold in this classroom? The explanation would be found on the older man. Reaper's body naturally exuded a deathly cold aura, a gift from his Ancient ascendancy. Few were able to outright ignore those effects, but most managed to bear them just fine.

After waiting for fifteen more minutes, the Sennin would close the file he had been reading and after clearing his throat he would begin. "As I have noted upon your entrance, I bid you welcome. My name is Senju Kazuki and I am, in case you don't recognize my name, one of Sunagakure's Sennins. I deeply believe in investing in our youth and handing them the necessary tools to ensure they thrive, which is why you find me conducting a lesson on my own free time. Today's topic is about the Uchiha bloodline. We will discuss their traits, their strengths, their weaknesses and how to exploit them in a fight." he would announce. He would make a momentary pause to let it sink in before continuing. "But before we dive in, I would like to get to know you a bit better. Tell me your name, where do you come from, what motivated you, or your parents, to have you enrolled in the academy. What are you hopes and dreams for the future. What are your expectations from the village. Anything you would like to share. I want to establish a safe area where we can trust each other, because trust between fellow shinobi is paramount."

A Sennin was actually taking time out of his schedule to teach a class? Shin actually felt pretty honored. Readjusting himself in the seat of the middle left table the young boy became even more excited for the class. He was going to learn about a bloodline that he had only heard rumors about, but he did grasp the importance of bloodlines. His Yamanaka blood gave him special gifts that no other genetic lineage can offer. He took in the information about the topic of the class and nodded ever so slightly. It was time to introduce himself, and he let out a sigh. "My name is Chikamatsu Shin. I have always lived in the village, recently moving to the newer residences up top, but my mother is from Konoha. I am wanting to become a shinobi like my parents before me. I am gifted by my mother's clan as I am starting to show prominent traits of the Yamanaka Clan.<i></i>

Expectations from the village? Hopes and dreams for the future? The boy was confused and didn't exactly know how to answer these questions. He didn't know what else to share either. He answered the man's questions and that he was the only student in the class. He lifted his brow in confusion, but he didn't want to seem like he was trying to avoid the question. "I'm not sure if I have any expectations at the moment. As for the future I just want to become a shinobi, I don't know what else to expect."<i></i> The boy was honestly confused and it was probably obvious to the Sennin. He was an awkward child and didn't really plan too much into the future. "I know I want take over my mother's role in her green house and in the creation of poisons for the use of my fellow Suna-Nn"<i></i>

((OoC: Sorry for the short post I just couldn't get the vibe with Shin on this to take it any further))

The kid would upon hearing the subject of the lesson. Kazuki would hear him sighing after learning he was supposed to talk about himself. What was with youth and their lack of desire about speaking about them? Shin was not the first showing such trait and he was certainly not going to be the last. ”My name is Chikamatsu Shin. I have always lived in the village, recently moving to the newer residences up top, but my mother is from Konoha. I am wanting to become a shinobi like my parents before me. I am gifted by my mother’s clan as I am starting to show prominent traits of the Yamanaka clan.” The Senju Overlord would nod. Son of a shinobi of Konoha, how interesting. ”Chikamatsu Shin it seems you are my only student. I do not know if that is good or bad for you, but we will make the most out of our time together.” the White Wolf would declare before addressing the other part of his presentation. ”I find it very curious that your mother is from Konohagakure since I am also from Konohagakure. When did she move to Sunagakure? Before or after Leaf’s downfall?” he would inquire. It was quite curious there was a Leaf shinobi leaving inside Suna’s walls and he was not aware of it. Quite curious indeed.

Talking about his goals would be an even further complicated issue. Raising his eyebrow in confusion, the Yamanaka boy would attempt to give some sort of explanation. ”I’m not sure if I have any expectations at the moment. As for the future I just want to become a shinobi. I don’t know what to else expect. I know I want to take over my mother’s role in her green house and in the creation of poisons for the use of my fellow Suna-Nin.” Shin would tell him, eventually admitting he had at least one goal, one that would have him take charge of a green house. Goals were good, it drove people into becoming better, gave them purpose. With a goal in mind, stagnation was likely to occur and with stagnation came death. Evolution was a constant step in everyone's lives and everyone should strive to become better. "I can understand your lack of expectations, but having a goal, such as taking charge of your mother's green house is a good thing. Goals drives us forward, we should never content ourselves in staying as we are. We can always reach a goal but we should always create another and pursuit. Stagnation is the enemy of a sharp mind, remember that." Reaper would tell him. Shin would do great in remembering that for the rest of his natural life. Shinobis were not allowed to stagnate or risk having their village fall to an enemy better prepared.

"Now, as I have noted before, the subject of this lesson is about the fabled Uchiha bloodline. I could start a long tirade about the information I have about them, but I know receiving repeated information is boring and not very efficient. So instead of dishing out information right from the start, I want you to tell me what you know about them? Then we continue from that."

So it would seem that the boy was going to be the only student today. That didn't phase, that just meant his learning would be more direct and aimed at him and wouldn't cover things he already knew or that he had no interest in. His eyes quickly looked over the large empty room, he wondered if the class was going to be strictly discussion. He truly didn't care, in all honesty he wasn't the type to break a sweat needlessly, but the next statement shocked the boy. Kazuki-Sennin was also from Konohagakure, and yet he was a Sennin for Sunagakure. The downfall of leaf was a topic he didn't know or really understand. Wasn't Konoha still a Hidden Village? The young Yamanaka shrugged slightly before responding. "I'm not entirely sure. Mother doesn't really talk about her past, but I do know she traveled a lot collecting specimens to fill her green house from across the nations."<i></i>

Gesturing his hands to his side in a manner as if saying I don't really know though he would continue responding to his sensei. "It's not that I don't have goals aside from my personal goals but they are basic. I want to become a shinobi and aid my village in the best manner as I possibly can. This would most likely be in the supportive role similar to my mother and father as I am not very skilled in Ninjutsu or Taijutsu. I am wanting to gain these skills but I seem to only grasp onto the ideas of things and not so much the execution."<i></i> It probably became apparent that this boy doubts himself in every manner exception for his intelligence, which in the world of shinobi can be very powerful even though Shin had yet to realize that. The theoretical can be just as useful as the practical when it came to strategizing and planning ahead, but this child was just that, a child. He would readjust himself in his chair while glancing out the corner of his eye to view the storm that was still raging on.

A mental image of the Sharingan popped into the Yamanaka's mind and if Kazuki's mind was open into his as well as the boy hadn't quite learned how to not share more vivid thoughts telepathically to those around him. "All I know of is their unique Doujutsu which strengthens Genjutsu and allows the wielder of the eye cast their illusions just by looking at their enemy."<i></i> It wouldn't be too surprising to learn that the only thing the boy knew of was the connection to a topic he is obsessed with. Genjutsu intrigued him on such a drastic level that he had read almost every scroll in the Academy's Library. This was a trait that he felt could set them aside from the regular shinobi drastically.

"I'm not entirely sure. Mother doesn't really talk about her past, but I do know she traveled a lot collecting specimens to fill her green house from across the nations." Shin would reply upon being inquired when did his mother travel to Sunagakure. "It's not that I don't have goals aside from my personal goals but they are basic. I want to become a shinobi and aid my village in the best manner as I possibly can. This would most likely be in the supportive role similar to my mother and father as I am not very skilled in Ninjutsu or Taijutsu. I am wanting to gain these skills but I seem to only grasp onto the ideas of things and not so much the execution." he would further add, trying to convey the message he was not lacking goals, but the ones he had were basic. Basically the same as every other shinobi from Sunagakure. "Do not worry, you are still very young. There is ample time for you to develop those two areas. In fact, you retain and groom a keen intellect, there is little you cannot accomplish." the White Wolf would reassure him.

The lesson would then actually begin, but it would start by an inquiry. Reaper asked the student what knowledge of the Uchiha bloodline he really have. A brief mental image of the Sharingan would invade his mind, no doubt coming from Shin. "It is quite clear you are a Yamanaka. I urge you talk with your mother. You cannot go around without controlling your ability for telepathy the Yamanaka are known for. I would offer my help, but I believe she will be able to provide much better assistance than I can." the SEnju Overlord would quickly tell him before the kid could actually tell what he knew about the bloodline that was the subject of the lesson. "All I know of is their unique Doujutsu which strengthens Genjutsu and allows the wielder of the eye cast their illusions just by looking at their enemy."

"You are correct in that the Uchiha are known for their unique doujutsu. It is known as the Sharingan as you undoubtedly should know. But that is not the only thing they are known for. They have a strange affinity to the Fire element, maybe because their clan originated in the Fire Country and, even though it was since spread toward the entire world, they still have such link within their genes. Even so, it is quite clear their main trait is that doujutsu. I will cover what the sharingan provides to its user next, but first I want to know if you know what their main weakness is, given their main weapon is a eye jutsu." he would ask.

The boy's intellect was complimented which meant a lot coming from his sensei, especially seeing that he is one of the Sennin! the boy smiled slightly at the remark and it made him feel better about his weaknesses. He hadn't always been made confident in his skills outside of his use of Genjutsu as his mother was well adept in many different fields of combat. She mastered not only hand-to-hand combat, but the use of projectiles as well. Her skills in Genjutsu were only rivaled in her mastery of her Earth-Style Ninjutsu. Hopefully his skills are just latent and hadn't developed yet, but as he thought about how his skills could grow he was called out for a skill that was still needing polished. Shin's gaze shifted downwards in a slightly shameful way. Looking back up to the man he would respond. "I am... unfortunately I'm not the best at controlling when to send out thoughts, when I get excited or have strong emotions it's like my psyche just sends out these threads of thoughts hoping to connect with others. I promise to work on this further Kazuki-Sensei."<i></i>

He listened as his Sensei would acknowledge Shin's answer, the Sharingan was the name. This Doujutsu was something that intrigued the boy, and something he wanted to learn further. The Uchiha Clan also seemed to have an affinity towards fire, which as Kazuki-Sensei stated could be related to the nation that they originate from. This clan had prowess in both Genjutsu and Ninjutsu which was a formidable combination but they had to have a weakness, and Shin had a pretty good idea what that could be. 'Well... if you follow the natures of chakra then water style would be a good way to counter them while wind style would prove useless, but their eyes are a different story. There must be a weakness as even my Clan's Body Mind Switch has it's risks. If their eyes were to be removed would they lose all of it's power?"<i></i>

The question the boy brought up could be seen as dark but it was an honest question. If that was the best way to face an Uchiha in battle then he would want to learn how to best remove their eyes to level the playing field between him and his opponent. Regardless of the risks he felt as if that was one of the best answers, well that was unless his sensei had something else that was more effective.

”I am… unfortunately I’m not the best at controlling when to send out thoughts, when I get excited or have strong emotions it’s like my psyche just sends out these threads of thoughts hoping to connect with others. I promise to work on this further Kazuki-sensei.” Shin would note as he lowered his gaze in shame. Kazuki would shake his head upon realizing his student felt shame for not controlling his powers. If he such power incontinence and he was much older, then, yes, shame should be felt. But he was still young, still not in full charge of what his bloodline bestowed him. ”Raise your head, there is no reason to feel shame. If you were as old as me, then yes, there would be cause enough for embarrassment, but you are not. Not everyone is born with the uncanny ability to control his power. In fact, most of us, must train to exert precise control over what we are able to do. There is probably one individual out of thousands that is born as a natural. A person capable of doing everything perfectly at first try, while the rest of us must train to reach such state. You may be envious of them, but I assure you, it is better this way. Because you will get accustomed to train, you will never take anything for granted, unlike them. In time, you will grow more than they because they will turn complacent. Believe in me, I have seen it happen before.” the Senju Overlord would reassure the kid. Yes, he was from a clan that valued the survival of the fittest mentality, but their power came with hard work and not natural talent, thus they allowed everyone to prove themselves before being labeled as weak and not fit for being a shinobi.

”Well… if you follow the natures of chakra then water style would be a good way to counter them while wind style would prove useless, but their eyes are a different story. There must be a weakness as even my Clan’s Body Mind Switch has its risks. If their eyes were to be removed would they lose all of its power?” the Student would answer Reaper's question about the Uchiha's glaring weakness. He was correct that without the eyes, they would be unable to use their Sharingan along with becoming blind, but doing so in the course of a battle, was no easy feat. "That is correct. If you, somehow, remove the eyes from the equation, they will no longer be able to use the Sharingan and its many abilities. Of course, removing their eyes can be probably impossible in a battle and, if you do find yourself in a situation where you would be able to remove them, then you have already won. Even so, there are more ways to nullify the Sharingan. Throw a smoke bomb, if they cannot see you, then they cannot target you. Go to stealth, same principal as with the smoke bomb. Blinding them is another way that works well. Send out clones, if they do not know who the real you is, then you cannot be targeted." the White Wolf would share with him. There were certainly more ways to counter the Sharingan altogether, but he was not going to list them all as not even him knew all of them.

"So what does the Sharingan provide the user? This doujutsu, as long as you can see your opponents, gives you better insight and enhanced perception, thus it is easier for you to dodge and hit. As you have noted, you can cast genjutsu using your Sharingan alone and it allows you to copy skills used by your foe." he would state, sharing two abilities, though there more to list. He would pause before making another question, also giving Shin time to write it things down if he wished. "These two abilities I have just spoken about have weaknesses as well. What are they in your opinion?"

((OoC: I am pretty sure we just passed the minimum requirements! yay!))

The boy looked at his sensei as he spoke. It's true that he was ashamed but Kazuki-Sensei made a sound point. He was still young. He wasn't expected to master his unique traits at such a young age, but he was expected to keep training on these skills. He swore to himself that by his next class he will have mastered his telepathy, at least to the point of not forcing his own thoughts into those around him accidentally. The words his sensei spoke resonated "Because you will get accustomed to train, you will never take anything for granted, unlike them. In time, you will grow more than they because they will turn complacent." As if taking these words to heart Shin memorized them. He nodded at his sensei acknowledging what he said. The desire to train more was heightened thanks to this man. Encouraging the young Yamanaka to be more than how he has defined himself, Shin admired his Sensei more than he was expecting, especially as they had only spent a small amount of time together. He would have to make sure to take more classes with his sensei as for some reason he felt as if the two clicked well and that he could learn a lot.

It was true that removing the eyes of an Uchiha could prove to be very difficult but the man before Shin made a good point. Blocking sight could also provide a strong advantage against the Sharingan user. Smoke bombs, flash grenades, or any other manner of blinding the enemy could allow Shin to take a step towards victory without having to worry about their Doujutsu. "Well I'm not sure about the perception, but I feel as if there are skills even an Uchiha can't copy. I'm sure the Secret Techniques of my clan couldn't be easily replicated, and even if the Sharingan could copy my jutsu I'm sure it wouldn't be as powerful as mine because the enemy hasn't trained or mastered the jutsu like I have."<i></i>

”Well I’m not sure about the perception, but I feel as if there are skills even an Uchiha can’t copy. I’m sure the Secret Techniques of my clan couldn’t be easily replicated, and even if the Sharingan could copy my jutsu I’m sure it wouldn’t be as powerful as mine because the enemy hasn’t trained or mastered the jutsu like I have.” Shin would answer, trying to reach a logical conclusion regarding what were the weaknesses of those two abilities. Kazuki noted the student had only given a partial answer because the genjutsu through the Sharingan had been ignored. Maybe he did not know, but given how the class was going, it was quite logical he would have known the answer for it already. ”I am going to start with the ability to cast genjutsu via their doujutsu. You can negate this in the same way as you can negate the doujutsu altogether, by shielding yourself from view or preventing them from seeing you. There is also one other way to prevent it, by not locking eyes with them. If they do not have eye to eye contact with you, then you are safe.” he explained how to avoid the Sharingan’s ability to cast genjutsu via their eyes.

It was time to address the other one. ”You are correct. The Uchiha’s ability to copy techniques is limited given they cannot copy everything seen by them. Not only they need full view of the target, but there are certain requirements they need to meet before being able to replicate the jutsu. As you have pointed out, techniques from bloodlines, secret techniques and those coming from the so called kinjutsu cannot be copied by the Sharingan as the Uchiha lacks the necessary traits to be able to use them. If they are unable to do handseals or fail to have the proper weapon, they will also not be able to used copied jutsu against you. So you see, you can prevent this ability in a few different ways. Stick to your bloodline abilities, use taijutsu that you know they cannot replicate or bind them and prevent any and all handseals.” Sure, that was limiting in a way for the Uchiha’s opponent but it was a good way to counter their copy skill ability.

”Next two. The Sharingan is also know to allow the user to influence another. By securing eye contact, you can coerce your target into doing something he would not do, like attack a friend. They are also known for being able to use their doujutsu to reverse a genjutsu used on them. The first one is easily avoidable and even so, if your willpower is strong enough you can shake it off. The second technique has a very specific weakness. Care to guess what it is?” he would inquire. Given the Uchiha needed to know they were under the effects of a genjutsu to try and reverse it, an exceptional strong illusionist should never find himself having a genjutsu reversed on it.

((OoC: Feeling a bit of writers block but I do want to keep this thread going at a nice pace))

Sticking to bloodline techniques may be hard for the young Yamanaka, especially seeing how an Uchiha can apparently reverse a Genjutsu. Shin let out a slight sigh in discouragement. "Well, I would come to believe that they couldn't reflect a jutsu that they aren't a aware off. So to prevent the reflection would I have to make sure they didn't see the handseals to cast the illusion?" The boy took a moment and remained silent. He was thinking. Uchiha's may be known for their Sharingan and the genjutsu prowess that came with it, but the Yamanaka Clan wasn't some second rate illusion caster. "So I know the Uchiha Clan has the power to reverse Genjutsu but wouldn't that require their mental strength to be stronger than my own?"<i></i>

To Kazuki, every piece of knowledge he was conveying to Shin was painfully obvious. He knew about it for years now and everything was quite logical. The questions he was posing had simple answers, at least in his mind, but he could not forget one thing though. The student taking his class did not possess the same level of knowledge that he did. What seemed simple and logical to the Senju Overlord, did not, necessarily, seem the same for the Yamanaka boy. The key trait that defines a good teacher is the ability to place himself in the student shoes and explain everything as if they also were not in possession of the knowledge they should possess in the first place. The White Wolf was not certain if he good enough, in that department, to be a competent teacher, but he certainly would not stop conducting classes for as long as he could. ”Well, I would come to believe that they couldn’t reflect a jutsu that they aren’t aware off. So to prevent the reflection would I have to make sure they didn’t see the handseals to cast the illusion?” Shin would say after sighing in apparent discouragement. In his view, it would seem he was ill suited to fight a Sharingan user. While on paper that seemed to be true, it wasn’t necessarily as black and white on real life. The student would become silent for a while as he pondered on further weaknesses. The Shadow Sword would remain silent as well, allowing room to think. Eventually he Shin would continue. ”So I know the Uchiha Clan has the power to reverse Genjutsu but wouldn’t that require their mental strength to be stronger than my own?”

”You are correct on both accounts. Not only does the Uchiha need to know they are under the effects of a genjutsu before they can even try to reverse it, but their mental strength needs to be higher than whoever cast it on them, or else, the jutsu transfer will fail. So you see, if you are specialized in illusions, it is quite unlikely any Uchiha will be able to reverse everything you throw at them, let alone know they are under the effects of one.” Reaper would acquiesce. The boy was smart and had cracked most of the known weaknesses of the Uchiha bloodline. There were three more techniques left to study in the lesson. There was a more advanced form of the Uchiha bloodline, but that was would be subject for another lesson. ”Our lesson is reaching its end, but before it is over, we have three more abilities to study. A few Uchiha have the ability to evolve their Sharingan into a more powerful form. It is called Mangekyou Sharingan and it bestows the user with even greater clarity and perception. While the normal Sharingan is red and has three black tomoe at his final stage of maturation, the Mangekyou version is different from Uchiha to Uchiha. The black tomoe merge and assume a different shape for each of them. Greater perception is not the only thing this advanced stage allows the user. It grants access to two techniques, usually dubbed the ultimate genjutsu and ultimate ninjutsu. Tsukiyomi and Amaterasu. Despite its great power, the Mangekyou is not without drawbacks. Extended usage periods gradually weaken the user’s eyesight until he grows completely blind.”

The same weaknesses or counters also applied to the upgraded version of the Sharingan and it was why the Sennin did not mention them. ”The Tsukiyomi is a very powerful genjutsu. If you fall under its effects, the Uchiha can have you experience a torment between 24 hours to 72 hours, although only a few seconds will pass on the real world. Inside this illusion world they are entirely under command and you are completely helpless. Luckily for as powerful as this genjutsu is, the Uchiha is incapable of affecting the same person twice in a short amount of time. I do not know why this weakness exists, but it is there and it is real.”[/url] Kazuki would pause momentarily before addressing the final technique for the Uchiha clan. ”The Amaterasu is a ninjutsu related to a certain kind of fire the Uchiha can conjure. Black flames, as hot as the surface of the sun, are at their command. Once out, nothing can put them out except for the Uchiha himself. Skilled enough users are able to coat themselves with a layer of such flames, making their defenses against taijutsu much stronger for a while. Questions?”

Shin's pride was patched ever so slightly as his sensei spoke to him. He was acknowledging the boy's strength and and specialty in Genjutsu. As if knowing exactly what the boy needed to hear a small grin slipped from the corner of his mouth as his confidence in being able to prevail in this situation grew ever so slightly. He himself would pose a question to his sensei. "But if, by chance, I were to fall for the Genjutsu reversal wouldn't I be able to sense my own illusions and just cancel them?"<i></i> The boy would listen to his sensei as he would introduce a new form of the Sharingan, the Mongekyou Sharingan. Slight disappointment befell the small flower child, as if they needed to be any stronger. The shift in the traditional tomoe into a new design would be the obvious shift of strength but for Shin to be able to see this he would have to make eye contact which he already knows not to do. Shifting in his seat to place his elbows on the table before him he would clasp his fingers together before resting his chin on his combined hands as he would go into deeper thought. Greater perception at the cost of potential blindness? That was arguably not worth it in the boy's opinion. Tsukiyomi and Amaterasu the ultimate genjutsu and the ultimate ninjutsu, and the topic of the next step in his class. The son of the Chikamatsu Puppet master would intently listen.

The Tsukiyomi sounded like a technique the boy desired to possess, but unfortunately he was not of the Uchiha blood. Casting a technique to alter your enemies sense of time for such a drastic amount of time could prove to be the turning point of the battle. Shin sighed softly in realizing that that jutsu would never be his. AS he continued to think of the uses of Tsukiyomi his sensei would also pause, as if knowing the boy's mind would attempt to analyze this information even further. The next was the Amaterasu, the black flames that in all honesty did not peak his curiosity in the idea of using such technique. Using this technique for an offensive and a defensive stance was tricky though. The boy would attempt to try and devise a strategy. "I assume for Tsukiyomi to be effective against me it would be the same as any genjutsu and that the caster's mental prowess would have to be stronger than my own."<i></i> A thought that no longer worried the child as he was in fact specializing in this exact field. "If only the Uchiha could eliminate the flames does that mean in my current state I couldn't counter it?"<i></i> The boy's voice trailed off slightly at the end until an idea popped into his head. "...but let's say I become the Uchiha? If I were to successfully cast the Body Mind Switch Jutsu would I then be able to stop the Amaterasu flames?"<i></i>

”But if, by chance, I were to fall for the Genjutsu reversal wouldn’t I be able to sense my own illusions and just cancel them?” Shin would question, trying to further the topic about the Uchiha’s ability to reverse genjutsu. Kazuki would shake his head. ”No, not necessarily. No more than you are able to sense if you are under any genjutsu to begin with.” the White Wolf would explain. Not everyone was capable of knowing they were under the effects of a genjutsu. Fortunately, the Sennin was one of those individuals, but those less fortunate, it was almost impossible to know if a genjutsu had been reversed.

”I assume for the Tsukiyomi to be effective against me, it would be the same as any genjutsu and that the caster’s mental prowess would have to be stronger than my own.” the student would assess, provoking a nod from Reaper. ”Correct. Ultimate genjutsu or not, the same rules still apply to it. They still have to have a stronger willpower than you for you to be affected. If they are unable to breach your mental defenses, then it is irrelevant if they have the strongest illusion or not. And do not forget, they still need eye contact with you, otherwise, they cannot cast it at all. Unlike the ninjutsu category where you have jutsus that can be cast upon a given area, there is no such thing with the illusion school, you always need a specific target that you can see.” the Senju Overlord would note. The kid was smart, he was picking the right answers, if he could continue like that, he could prove to be an invaluable asset to the village. In fact, if his thirst for knowledge never stopped, he could be a great Oracle. Perhaps Kuro needed to be made aware of a certain Chikamatsu Shin.

”If only the Uchiha could eliminate the flames does that mean in my current state I couldn’t counter it?” the Yamanaka would inquire. His voice would trail off, but the Shadow Sword would not be given an opportunity to confirm as the kid’s mind got an idea for a counter. ”… but let’s stay I become the Uchiha? If I were to successfully cast the Body Mind Switch Jutsu would I then be able to stop the Amaterasu flames?” the Death Court Lord would shake his head before actually answering. ”No, in your current state, your only counter is to not get hit by it, otherwise, it is impossible for you to douse it. The Body Mind Switch jutsu, contrary to what you might believe, does not work that way. You cannot use the target’s techniques, you are merely hindering him, you are never in full possession of his body. Remember that, you cannot fully control someone with your technique.”

Their lesson had reached its end. There was nothing else to talk about the Uchiha’s bloodline. ”There is nothing else to teach you about the Uchiha. There will be an advanced lesson on them, but today we are done. Do you have any further inquiries you would like to be clarified about?” Kazuki would announce before adding ”The next lesson will be about the Hyuuga bloodline. Feel free to enroll if you are interested in learning more about them.”

The boy nodded at his sensei as the man responded to his first question. It made sense that he wouldn't be aware of the genjutsu as that was the entire point of casting such a jutsu. This made sense but it seemed to make an Uchiha that much more dangerous. Hopefully he wouldn't have to worry about running into someone with the Sharingan alone. After all he realized he was more useful as a supportive role. The boy's knowledge of genjutsu would continue to be supported as the "ultimate genjutsu" still had to follow all of the rules that a regular illusion had. This made him feel more confident in his skills once again as his mental strength was probably beyond that of most of his peers. A slight grin would slip his lips as he began to realize that these legendary eyes were not as powerful as they may seem. The common thread of eye contact seemed to be their greatest down fall, well that was until his sensei spoke of the ultimate ninjutsu.

The boy was slightly upset to hear what his sensei said about his clan's most well known technique. The idea that he would just have to run away was disappointing to hear. He had previously believed that this jutsu of his clan would allow him a complete possession but apparently not. He wasn't at the strength to even be able to use this jutsu but it was one he was looking forward to mastering. Upon hearing that there was nothing else to be learned this day the boy smiled at his sensei as he felt as if this class was surprisingly more useful than some of the others he has taken. "At this time I cannot think of anything Kazuki-Sensei, but if I do have any questions I'll be sure to either come find you or to bring them up during the next class."<i></i> With that the boy was content. He was excited to keep taking classes with his sensei and learning about the different bloodlines. He has already learned so much about one he thought he understood.

"At this time I cannot think of anything Kazuki-Sensei, but if I do have any questions I'll be sure to either come find you or to bring them up during the next class." Shin would say, stating he had no further issues to be clarified about the Uchiha bloodline. Kazuki believed he had captured a slight tone of disappointment in the kid's voice. He believed it was about the Yamanaka's ultimate technique and how he had revealed it did not allow full control over another's body. Perhaps it had been a tad too cruel to shed such clarity over Shin's bloodline, but the sooner he knew his limitations, the faster he would build ways to counter it. "You can find my at my office. If I am not there at the moment, I may be either at the Senju Compound in the Toraono Dojo or anywhere else for that matter. You can always my private frequency and call me over a headset. You are dismissed." the Senju Overlord would instruct him, telling him he could go and live life a little before the next lesson was up.

Shin's face was understandingly calm. His class was coming to an end and he felt accomplished as he truly learned a lot from his sensei. The boy's sensei explained how he would be able to get into contact with him in case any questions would arise. Shifting from his seat the boy would rise to his feet and instantly bowed to his sensei. "Thank you so much Kazuki-Sensei."<i></i> Raising his head a smile would be seen on his face. "I can't wait to see you in our next class!"<i></i> And with that the boy would leave the room to attend his study hall before going on to his independent studies.
