Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The weather was slightly cold, a small breeze once every few minutes. It wasn't even sunrise, but one could see the hues and colors paint the sky as the sun was steadily rising. On a normal day, people would most likely still be fast asleep in their homes. For a normal person, they won't have a care in the world. But today was not normal, at least for Chigokai Yuna. She had made sure to pack a bag with some change of clothes, and food and water. She made sure her motorcycle that her father had given her was all gassed up.

That day, before the sun has risen, Yuna found herself at Dragon Tooth Pass. She had guard duty here a time or two and thought nothing of it, but now that she is taking her leave on a mission, the gates look pretty intimidating. She already had said goodbye to her parents and brother, with a lot of 'you sure about this' from her father. To be honest, she really wasn't. She is a kid that is scared beyond imagination. But on the other hand, if she didn't do it, her father would have, and if her didn't come back... She pushed the thought out of her head. This would technically be her second time traveling, though she thinks the first time coming here from Leaf as a baby being cradled by her mother wouldn't really count.

Her mind flashbacked to her father talking how dangerous Moon and Water was, even her Sennin told her to be cautious of those areas. The young Chigokai let out a sigh and patted her backpack pocket to make sure her passport was securely in there. She guided her motorcycle until she would be in front of the current gate guard, bringing out her passport ready to show them once they ask for it. "Heya. Request to leave."

The sun had not yet peaked over the horizon’s edge and the mountain cold had brought about a nice layer of frost all across the gate’s natural surface. Inside one of the massive pillars was an office where the higher ranking shinobi got to relax during their mandatory gate duty that came weekly. Or, monthly, as was the case of the Sennin.
Sleep was a weird thing for her and despite the early hours that had her monitoring the little television to keep an eye on these said gates she wasn’t tired at all. As a cyborg her brain had been wired in such a way that she literally couldn’t sleep and doing so would throw her body into a coma. As a…whatever the hell had become of the woman, Rei found that sleep was just as rare; though now she was graced with the ability to actually enjoy it. However, having just recently been in a coma, she found herself happily awake with her booted feet propped up on the little coffee table in a relaxed state as she enjoyed what was the next best thing to a day off for her. Keeping her body warm and mind sharp was a cup of black, delicious smelling, coffee that she sipped gently as her eyes rarely wavered from the little flickering screen.

Rei felt Yuna before she saw the girl slowly roll one of those newer mechanical devices on the screen. The woman’s upper lip curled in a disappointment that was only shared by the older class of shinobi at the sight of the motorcycle. Why anyone would waste their time, life, and limb with one of those devices when moving with their trained feet was much faster was beyond Rei. Even though Kitsune, their leader, had a vehicle of four wheels and she was pretty sure that word was the leader of ANBU also had the same kind of device Yuna was rolling up with, Rei couldn’t get with the changing times on that note. Oh sure, advancement in general technology and computers had been great; she even saw the use of vehicles for the weaker populace as a boon. Shinobi though? What was all that training even for? Setting down the cup the Sennin lifted her feet off the table and in a single fluid motion stood up and walked towards the door before launching herself from the tops of the gate to land near Yuna with barely a sound. Only the crunching of frost beneath her boots echoed softly into the air as she approached the girl.

Looking to get out? I’ll need to see the passport…” she asked in a naturally husky voice that belayed the daggers in her eyes staring at the motorcycle.

At first, Yuna didn't really notice anything strange about the older woman, that is, until Jashin's Beast spoke up. Isn't it strange this woman has no blood? Yuna dismissed the thought but focused on listening for a blood flow that she expected to be coming from the woman, only to hear nothing but other blood flows further away. There was slight confusion on her face, but she did remember her father talking of such individuals. What were they called again?

Her thoughts were interrupted when said individual asked for her passport. She nodded and handed over the simplified passport her Sennin had given her. The young Chigokai didn't really notice the disapproving look the woman was giving her motorcycle, but rather racking her brain on how a person can function without blood pumping through them and what were such people called.

Ah, one of Miro’s brats,” the Sennin quipped upon seeing the simplified passport. It was strange in the day in age when everything was slowly advancing towards the future to see something so archaic as a the means to pass the gates Rei was shown, but didn’t think too much on it. It most certainly had its charms over the usual paperwork which got…ridiculous depending on the social ranking of the person trying to get in or out of Kumogakure. Non-combatant traders needed at least a ten page document packet that had to be reviewed in its entirety. It was a pain in the ass to get, too, because it was made of a special type of paper that was resistant to fire. Seeing something as simple as what Yuna displayed lightened her mood if for nothing else, the fact that she didn’t need to sit down and review an entire ten-page document and test each sheet for authenticity.

“’Aight, you’re good. Be careful on that thing heading down the pass, the roads down are still treacherous for automated vehicles even after being adjusted for them. You shouldn’t come across anyone else on the pass though. It’s too early for our normal in-n-outs. Good luck and safe return.

Turning away from the ANBU the Sennin made a seemingly impossible leap back up to her office with a single movement of chakra and force. The door opened, a light smell of coffee wafted into the air, and it closed behind her. The road awaited for Yuna.

The words echoed in her mind. She wanted to pick a fight with the same person that is looking through her paperwork, when she realized, this woman called out her Sennin by name. Someone close perhaps? It was also at this moment that earlier she had the wrong idea. It wasn't as if she couldn't hear the gate guard's blood flow. But rather it seemed to flow almost too loudly for her?

The woman, nevertheless, allowed her through, with the cautionaries of how the roads still are not good for travel. Yuna nodded and grabbed her passport and guided her motorcycle until she was on the road and revved up the engine. And soon, she will be on her way to the Wind Country, where the first her target resides.
