Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

A smirk would appear on the Byakko descendant's face as he walked back into the Academy after what seemed like a lifetime had passed by. The last time that he had taught, there had been three vastly different students that were under his guidance as he explained to all of them the ways of a shinobi. However since that fateful encounter, he hadn't heard from or about them at all, but he wondered just how strong and grownup they had gotten since their initial encounter with him. See, many students had gone through his trials of teaching in the past and almost all of them had passed, but he had learned a great deal about each of them through his teachings and sadly many of them had vanished and never amounted to anything. It could be a curse some would say that Kyuji was a bad omen to students continuing their advancement as shinobi, but he didn't feel that way. No, he believed that many of them disappeared or quit being shinobi because they weren't cut out for it or they had been killed off. Both were unfortunate, but they were a part of life sadly.

But today was a new day as he had requested a classroom on the second floor and was granted it for teaching purposes. A flyer had been posted on the academy's bulletin and also sent out to all households that had children that were academy age about the class, but there was no true description. It merely stated that there was a class being taught by Byakko Kyuji on this day in roughly an hour from now. Hopefully, some folks would show up. Either way, Kyuji would go to the room and write a message on the board for the students along with leaving out a questionnaire and pencil for them to take when they arrived. The message on the board would read as followed:
Welcome! Please take a questionnaire and a pencil and begin to fill it out. I will be arriving soon to begin teaching you. I am excited so I hope you are as well.

-Byakko Kyuji

He would then leave the room and head to his office to mentally prepare himself. When the students would begin to arrive, they would see on the questionnaire the following questions and no sensei as the board alluded to:
1. Your Name:

3. Height:

It was Sunday that day when he received a scroll from Hime-chan, as she liked to be called. That morning, nothing was amiss. Everything was as fine as a sand morning can be and yet he felt anxious like something big was coming and he wasn't prepared enough for it. He shrugged it off as he took his clothes off to bathe. He hopped into the shower, hoping the cascading water will cool down his anxiety. Maybe he should talk to Hime-chan about it but he doesn't want to trouble her with anything anymore. It was bothersome already to have someone like him living in her house, mooching off of her and having her take care of his physical condition. He really shouldn't bother her with every little thing that bothered him and yet he felt like doing so. He felt helpless in his current situation and the more he thought about it, the more depressed he became. His depressing thoughts was shook out of his system when soap hurt his eyes. He yelled girlishly, much to his embarrassment afterwards. After washing his eyes with water, he resumed his shower thoughts and ended it with a hope that day will turn out fine. Breakfast was a fine affair, if only Hime-chan didn't have to rush out of the house for an emergency case while hastily throwing him a scroll. He stared at it and blinked. What was in it? Only one way to find out. He took a scroll knife and slowly unsealed the scroll. Unrolling it on the coffee table, he began to read its contents. It was a confirmation that he is now to be a student at the ninja academy. Slowly, his anxiety started to pile up. His breathy became heavy, knees weakened as he almost collapsed onto the couch.

'I can't bother her with this. I can't. I must do this on my own. Maybe coffee will help.'
He looked over the kitchen cabinet and saw instant coffee. He nodded to himself and made himself one cup, careful not to dwell too much on anything while he boiled water or while he was stirring. He chose to stare blankly onto whatever he was doing. Holding the warm cup in his hands, he smiled as he thought back on how he handled his anxiety this time.

'Maybe things will go better. Maybe this day will end well for me.'
With these thoughts in mind, he sipped his cup and smiled. Sure, Hime-chan would probably freak out if she knew he actually drank coffee, even more if she finds out he's chronically anxious, or whatever the technical term was, but he found out he could fight against it and that gave him hope. He held on to this hope and started a day of chores and reading basic hand seal scrolls.

Hime-chan came that night, sweating profusely, tired but smiling knowing she had someone to come home too. Aoi smiled at her and she smiled back, rushing over, dropping everything to cuddle him profusely. He chuckled at her enthusiasm.

'Maybe she has always wanted a younger brother or a son to come too. I am glad to be of any help.'
He thought to himself, allowing himself to be cuddled for as long as she wanted to. Soon enough, he could feel her trembling and feel wetness on top of his head. She was crying. He soon found out that she had lost a patient, a little boy.

'So that's why she can't help herself.'

"I'll always be here, I promise."
he told her and she believed with all her might, hoping that nothing would ever hurt her most precious charge. Happy with that, she shared a few buns with Aoi and ate them together in her room, telling him everything that happened that day, the boy listening attentively, eyes wide. He was encouraged to sleep next to her that night and he agreed to it, not minding the tightness of her hug. The next morning, she woke him up for a special surprise.</COLOR>

Takamori Aoi, thirteen years of age, was at the ninja academy dressed up in a newly bought blue sailor uniform, a big blue backpack, a lunchbag and a blue hat. He doesn't know what to make of his current clothes but was assured of the fact that his caretaker loves him so much that she wouldn't put him in anything embarrassing. He was given a small cutout from a scroll[it seemed to be a part of an old weapon scroll], therein contained directions to his class. He didn't know how good he is with directions but now was the best time to know. Sure enough, he arrived safe and sound, not a bit lost although the classroom was empty. There was a message on the board that said to take a questionnaire and a pencil and fill them out. Nervously, he took one and sat at they very last chair on the back, left of the center aisle. He worried that what he wrote might not be up to par with what is normal with other people. It was only now that he began to realize that he really doesn't know how to talk to other people, or how to write things that are normal to other people. Heck, he doesn't even know what normal is. Sighing, wishing that his anxiety to go away, he began to fill it out. After a good few minutes of nervous writing, and drawing, he finished.

In his office, the dearest Byakko was deeply into a meditation state when a knock would arrive on his door informing him that a student was waiting for him in the designated room. A quick glance at the clock after he reopened his eyes would confirm that the time was quickly approaching for the class to begin and a gentle smile would surface on his face as he rose from his seat. Within mere moments, he would head out towards the room letting the administrative assistant close up his office for him. This class was going to be certainly interesting to say the least considering he had no plans set and he would allow the student to direct the class.

After a few minutes, he would be walking into the door with a smile on his face as he took the paper from the student and began to examine it. As he would go through the answers to his questions, he would introduce himself to the lad with some upbeat in his voice: "Hello and welcome to class. I am Byakko Kyuji, but you can simply call me Kyuji if you would like, Aoi. As I continue to read through this document, what would you like to learn today from me? I have a vast amount of knowledge on many topics excluding ANBU-related content." While he was talking, his eyes would not once look right at the boy but instead continue to be fixated on the paper in front of him as he digested the information.

The content of this questionnaire at the very least was interesting, but some of the answers were generic. He wanted to become a medical shinobi to help out Shirohime who was his caretaker which was an excellent reason for wanting to be a medic. Unfortunately, he hoped that the boy had higher aspirations for his thought process to steer towards that path considering people come and go in life at instances that one cannot prepare for. Hopefully, he would be going down this path to help out others as well, but still wanting to give back to the one who is caring for him was something admirable. The most interesting parts of the questionnaire however to him was the medical condition portion for obvious reasons since he was the tenure medical chief of the village and conditions always peaked his interest since he wanted to get down to the root of the problem if it was possible; today was not the day however to be doing that to anyone.

Once he was finished reading over everything, he would place the paper down on his desk and walk over to the door closing it to begin the class officially. He would lean on the desk as his golden eyes would look right into the boy's brown ones as he proceeded to talk to him again. This time however his tone had changed from upbeat and happy to serious as he began to address the boy: "So you mentioned in the questionnaire that you want to be a medic to take care of Shirohime which is admirable to say the least. However, you should be aware that being a medic is not an easy job by any means as there are going to be days that it will be simple like doing checkups, doing shots, and giving patients their medicine. However, there will also be days that you will be trying to save someone's life and they will die while you are saving them or you will have to tend to a loved one and might not be able to help them. Are you sure that you will be able to handle all of this? I mean you will be given training to mentally, emotionally and psychologically prepare yourself for some of the worse possible events, but it is hard to completely shake off the pain when someone is dying and we can't help them." It was unfortunate that the medical field had to deal with all of this, but it was life and the path that they choose...he just wanted to prepare the kid so he knew that he was making the right decision before choosing to join the field simply to give back to his caretaker.

One thing was for sure. This classroom had gotten dark quickly metaphorically.
