Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Neko was looking over her mail as a pigeon landed at her window. She looked up and took the letter it held opening it and reading it, her eyes shot wide as she began to cast the mask summoning Jutsu. While this was not necessarily a serious matter, it was Anbu and a missing child. She took off into the commercial district, checking any and all locations provided in the details of the letter. Soon enough the day became dusk, and with that many were losing hope.

Neko would be checking one more place, the park. Naturally they already had checked the park, but if the child was making rounds to places they enjoyed then the likelihood that they showed up to the playground was better than the two circling the wrong way. She sat watching, waiting, hell even praying that the situation improved. The longer things went on the less likely it was the child would be found, it was really just that simple.

Neko scanned the area, anything out of the ordinary would be something she'd note, but today was the calmest day it could have been. She'd spent the day with Silent and ignoring the world around her, she could have seen this child earlier and never have known, maybe she'd have been able to stop this from happening. That was a terrible mentality and it was not like reality was so simple, but she couldn't help but wonder. She shook off the thought and noticed something a bit different.

She dropped into the park and saw a doll under the wooden structure that kids played on during daylight hours. She lowered herself and looked at the doll, one made of mixed parts not unlike the many she had used in her younger years. She hadn't seen it on her first run through the park, and knowing her own level of attention to detail she immediately found this odd. It had markings on it where it clearly had been roughly modified to represent a shinobi, mask and headband being the dead giveaway. She peeked her head under the structure, eyes scanning the area.

Tucked in the back of the underside of the structure sat a sad child, probably no older than six. While she was sure his day started with merriment and wonder, it was clear the reality of being lost had set in now causing him to hide in the place he knew was safe. Neko smiled under her mask, holding out a hand for the boy to take.

"Hey, I found your friend. He's a pretty good ninja you know? He lead me straight to you."

"Y..You're.. one of the.. the Anbu?"

"Mhm, he called me for help to get you home. Think your mom will want to see you."

The child came out and Neko dusted him off. He looked up in a mix of nervous and bewildered.

"I'm not in trouble.. Right Ms. Anbu lady?"

"No, let's just get you home and we can forget this whole day ever happened okay?"

She was surprised as a memory flashed in her mind of her academy days, when she was out on the street. The night that Raiko and her explored the city, and how much of a different path that set her on just by that one simple night. But most of all, how cool flying around with him was, and how that memory stuck with her. She tapped her chin before leaning down to his height,

"Hey, tell you what kiddo. Want to see how real ninja get around? it'll be quick so you'll have to hold on tight okay?"

The boy nodded and climbed on her back as she offered him the ride. She was slow at first, building chakra in her feet before.. BOOM.. She chakra jumped into the sky toward where the rendezvous was with the boys mom. The two laughed as they flew through the air from building to building, Neko making sure to have a tight grip and not risk his life for the little joy it brought him. She landed outside his home, his mother running up almost in an instant.

Afterward Neko was sitting on a rooftop nearby, feeling rather content with her missions results. She had not only brought him home without any harm, but it was the first mission in a long time that required no violence on her part. She was happy that she had the option to not harm, but actually help well in the Anbu. As of late she had been feeling a little lost in the violence of it all and this was a much needed reprieve from that. She took a drag from her smoke before heading in to report the results.
