Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The journey out of Sunagakure to venture for supplies was a mission that he had decided to take while the village ninja protected their walls. Being a missing-nin he was decent at travelling through new lands. He was also very expendable to the village despite his unique strengths such as his strong command over water and the elements that require it. He also did have a demon caged inside him but that was beside the point. What was the point was that Katsuro had made his way through the Diamond Maelstrom and into lands untouched by the Cabal.

He wasn’t really feeling too sweaty, as his body was able to replace water quickly and keep himself cool inside. This was definitely a perk of being what he was despite being an abomination to some people. Even the hardiest of people would struggle with the desert heat but he was just fine being able to rely on his inner water. The ex-Stone-nin was like a camel and would be able to go for weeks without having to drink any water.

As he travelled through that desert he noticed a city rising up from the sand dunes. Katsuro checked his map to make sure this was the right place and noticed that it was meant to be right next to the ocean. He the sniffed the air, trying to catch the scent of the salt water in the ocean, and to his luck he found a faint smell. The air wasn’t very thick with the smell of the ocean but he knew he was in the right place. Anywhere with a beach and an ocean was recognisable to his nose.

The mednin ran across the sand dunes, tripping over his legs and picking his body back up from the floor. He hadn’t seen the ocean for so long now that he was becoming a little desperate to feel the silky water against him once more. The cold depths of the ocean were calling to him and he was ready to explore the shores of the Wind Country. He knew that the mission was still pretty important since supplies were always needed in the village. But who is to say he may have gotten a “little lost” along the way and ended up on the shoreline of the country and used it to find Soon’s Haven.

Walking inside the city he could tell that it was a bustling civilian city full of life and trade. People seemed to be from all over the place trying to peddle their goods. It was just like in all the stories of foreign trade cities being full of wealth. It was quite possible that Katsuro could eventually go into trade and maybe make a living sailing the seas. Or possibly use the seas to take the treasures of other sailors who were not so lucky to have crossed him. He would give a name fitting to this kind of job as “Sea Ninja.”

He would take his time to explore the city casually as to not make it seem like he was a crazy person for wanting to go in the Ocean so badly. Well he was crazy for desiring to go into the ocean but it was a part of him since he was young.

After spending some time exploring the land around him, Katsuro finally decided to walk down to the docklands and see what it was like down there. From what he could see there was a huge amount of ships and tradesmen moving goods from one place to another. But he didn’t really care about that. What he cared about was the crystal clear water that was before him. It was surprising to him that such a sandy place produced such clean water but surprises came in all kinds of places.

The missing-nin would sit and dip his feet in the water, letting it fall off his toes before pushing himself fully in. People around seemed to try and run and pull him out but he submerged himself further away from them and out towards the sea.

He hadn’t felt this invigorated in months. Something about staying on land for too long made him feel sleepy, and being underground really ruined his body clock. It was only the sea currents and he, now finally able to recharge from all that time spent in Sunagakure. He was already beginning to forget why he was out of the village in the first place. Something about getting water was it? There was plenty of water in the ocean!

He would keep swimming around underneath for a while before resurfacing about five hundred metres out of the city. It seemed nice and peaceful out there with a few boats here and there. The sound of seagulls would create a weird harmony with the crashing of the waves. But it mattered not because he loved being in the ocean.

He would push up on the water and climb up as if it was like the edge of a pool. He would swing his legs onto surface of the water and stood up on the waves. He would look around and take in the scenery. He felt content for the first time in forever. The sea breeze, the rolling waves and just the general peacefulness that you wouldn’t get in a shinobi village. Maybe it was best if he had found an island to live on by himself. Yeah… nothing would be able to shake up the Water Adept’s feeling of tranquility right now. He was so in tune with the waves and the rhythms of the ocean. Just in paradise.
