Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Kamaru tried to slow his breathing as he ran. How long had it been? An hour? Two? The urgency to reason played in his mind wondering how much longer he could hold out at the pace when he looked behind him. The screeching and splintering of another tree where he had just been verified slowing down wouldn’t prove beneficial. Kamaru cursed aloud at the store own he had meet along the way. ‘Watch out for lizards?’ they had warned. This thing was over five meters tall, on four legs and probably four times that in length. That’s not a lizard that’s a monster. Kamaru dashed up into the trees as a large mass of muscle and scales snapped at him from below as he ascended. He hoped the delivery location was someplace high.

*Flashback*
Kamaru sighed and looked at the paperwork. Reading through it he wondered if it was necessary. It was just mail. Member will not tamper with parcels carried under no circumstances. Did they really have an issue with people working for the post office stealing mail? Damage to parcel upon delivery to the recipient will be paid in full by member. he read as he continued to read. Shaking his head he signed the form, he was a ninja and this was his mission not glamorous but at least he’d be able to see some scenery. He still hadn’t figured out why the person handing him the package had looked at the address and then him before whistling. They never made eye contact again and Kamaru had no idea why.

Kamaru made most of the trek on a simple paved road, stopping for a drink at a roadside shop. Generally just saying he was delivering a package and to where was vague but everyone from the owner of the shop to the other patrons just looked at him slowly turning away. Feeling mostly shunned and not the faintest reason why coming to mind he finished his drink and paid before leaving, ”Good luck boy. Watch out for lizards!” an elderly man stated before starting to laugh. Several people surrounded him telling the crazy old man to keep quiet.

Leaving he doubled back to find out more. It seemed most people thought the talk was nonsense that in the deep areas of forest and jungles there lived lizards that hunted men, that rending their flesh from their bones and that the stranger was going through that area to deliver a package to the very thick of the area. None could confirm the rumor but most were still afraid of the very idea. Kamaru chalked it up to superstition walking out of town he noticed a young boy following, as the boy got closer as Kamaru walked he stopped and shooed the boy away a hissing and scowl escaping the boy as Kamaru reached towards him. Reaching the outskirts of the city populated area the body seemed to lose interest since he wasn’t seen. As he made his way off the beaten path into rougher trails a lizard scampered into view looking at him and hissing, this went on for a bit reptile probably ten kilograms constantly scrambling around the trees and making an annoyance for Kamaru. As it finally popped up in front of him and screeched Kamaru had had enough.

When he finally had enough he looked at the lizard sitting on a branch and flicked it in the head. It seemed surprisingly more solid then he thought to expect seeing it fly backwards. When a louder hissing was heard later and sparks of lightening were brandish by a larger lizards coming at Kamaru he opted to just bolt versus fight. Considering the size of the beast it was probably around 500 kilograms so Kamaru figured losing it between the dense trees would be easy, he didn’t expect it to feel lightening coming over his head either though. As the creature reduced down in size Kamaru swore. He wanted to fight but with the package on his back valued out 25 thousand yen coming out of his wallet if he damaged the contents he opted to just let it go. The lizard seemed to have other ideas.
*End Flashback*

Flying out of the tree line Kamaru landed and looked around, see a small boy he didn’t think about looking weird.

”Boy do you hiss?” Kamaru asked realizing the strangeness in the question already.

”You okay Mister?” he asked a little confused by Kamaru’s question.

”I’m good enough do you know where this address is?” Kamaru explained showing him the box and the area the where the address was.

When the boy nodded Kamaru went through hand seals a copy of himself being handed the box, ”Unless you feel like getting eaten I’d get out of the immediate area. Guard him.” he advised before giving his duplicate orders. As they moved out of the area a blast Kamaru side stepped had him wonder. Another ball of electricity boiled inside the creatures open mouth? Creatures couldn’t use jutsu could they? Kamaru dodged again and moved in.

Kamaru moved into the beast’s possible strike range for the justu sidestepping it as his fingers came up against the beast his hand crackles with blue light. As the electric blue attack came up empowered by Kamaru’s chakra he frowned when the beast just looked him uninterested in his shortcomings. Crap. Taking off running again the beast in a leaner form now as in pursuit, as Kamaru seemed to dive away he swung back on a tree gambling as he did his finger coming contact with the creature. As the seal took effect Kamaru moved around the beast close enough to know one bite would be enough to take off a limb. Channeling wind chakra and slithering around the beast confused it. For one it had trouble doing what was able to normally do it seemed and having a smaller predator seemed to actually frighten the animal due to the situation. As he shambled off into the wilderness Kamaru jumped off latching onto a tree and moving back onto his job at hand… find the package for a delivery.

He found the boy and the other him some way into the area an odd shaped tiered village. With his jacket off and rolling up his sleeves he took the box from his clone and noticed an older man had joined them.

”Pop, he’s here with your new sword.” the young boy explained.

Kamaru could see the facial similarities.

Supposedly he had been carrying a sword made to kill something called Thunder Lizards, they oddly enough live in the wild in the area, attack humans and have the ability to manipulate chakra to some extent to attack things. Kamaru for the most part thought they were full of it but considering he had just saw it he wouldn’t deny it now. The material used for the sword though usually agitated the lizards to begin with, he had to order a new sword from a swordsmith since the buggers took off the last time he tried to kill one with the sword still in it. It was more than likely dead but the fact they were trying to get the weapons away from the wielders seemed odd for animals. The recipient signed off on the deliver with no damage before taking off the new blade this one with a chained arm guard so it was harder to knock from his hand. He explained they were tricky like that. Having learned a few tricks over the years.

Kamaru asked out of curiosity if any of them were able to take on the form of humans. The man laughed explaining he had heard of cases but that usually a lizard that had lived over 50 years. Kamaru couldn’t figure recall the facial features of the boy and explained what had happened before he entered the forest area. The man thanked him but he didn’t seem to happy about the news.
