It was near the area that Asuka called home. A section of the complex where her adoptive family had taken her in, and the most likely location Izura expected to find the hesitant young chuunin.
Izura was an enigma in the Leaf village- a ninja in the truest sense of the word. He no longer focused on combat as he had in his youth- instead he focused on the art of infiltration more than anything. Information was his source of power. But that was not to say he lacked in combat ability. A former criminal, a former war hero, a former anbu operative, he had nearly done it all in his lifetime. He was the first wielder of the eternal mangekyou sharingan, and while he certainly was not the last, it had been quite some time since he had encountered someone with the same bloodline powers as he held….at least to a similar extent.
Uchiha Asuka was the person he intended to meet. Age 13. Already an impressive mission record. Someone with the kind of record she held was quite uncommon. Someone, especially an Uchiha, would have to have had access to a power beyond the common sharingan.
How did he know about her in the first place? As former criminal, he had managed to infiltrate the Hidden Leaf, enter their A.C.M.E Hostel, and access the database from which the hidden Leaf managed all manner of secret shinobi knowledge. Records on all the village shinobi, their last known missions, their whereabouts, and even a basic description of their capabilities.
He didn’t have all the information, of course. But that’s what this meeting was for- to seek out high value war potentials. Data gathering for a team that would help strike back at Frost.
He crossed his arms and waited for her, the veteran shinobi leaning against a nearby tree.
