Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Looking rather similar to Umashi, Kin approached the Konoha village gates and signaled for one of the gate guards. "I come with direct word from the honorable Second Hokage with word for the Fourth Hokage." Holding his hands up, he walked in such a way as to allay any suspicions that he might be hiding weapons. The great thing about being a Tsukumogami was that there were many ways to present oneself and this was no different. Similar in form to Umashi save for the clearly golden eyes and similarly gold clothing, Kin walked right up to the guards and waited. His words were only for the Fourth and anybody else was probably going to be told to bugger off. From what he'd heard and indeed witnessed, the Fourth was a bit of a body snatcher so the usual hijinks were to be expected but other than that, mums was the word.

Takeshi allowed himself to whistle as he enjoyed the sun in the bright day, he walked slowly as he admired the peace of the village, the usual hustle and bustle was to be expected but right now he was here to see a job. He had gotten wind that a messenger was waiting for him and so he would travel to see this person, he would have to see what this was all about. He allowed himself to look at the visitor as he waved the approaching guard away, deciding instead to come directly to what the reason for the messenger was.

“And the honourable Second Hokage always has my ear, tell me what I can do for him on this glorious day”

Takeshi approached the messenger deciding instead to come into the normal skin, not wanting to mess around with his other paths which were seeking out different options. His purple eyes meeting that of the golden eyed person in front of him, it seemed that someone was not shy of coming face to face with the Hokage. He allowed a pleasant and welcoming smile to spread across his lips as he waited to see what would be delivered.

Nodding with a smirk, the Tsukumogami was more than pleased when the actual Hokage showed up instead of some fancy ANBU with a mask. Giving a formal bow, Kin reached into his pocket and pulled out a letter specifically for Takeshi but sporting a message that Kin was pretty sure that he already knew. "Thanks for meeting me. I'll keep it brief because I know that you're especially busy but this is for you." Holding the letter out for the Hokage to take, Kin would wait while the Hokage quickly read through the letter. As far as he knew, Umashi didn't expect an answer soon but he pretty much wanted one. Almost wanting to peer at the words on the paper, the contract being was far enough away from the Hokage that it would look rather obvious. So instead, he stood and waited for whatever answer might come. If Takeshi wasn't too wrapped up in reading though, he might notice that the contract had taken a step or two back . . . just in case there was a raging inferno to come. Uchiha weren't known for keeping their emotions in check as it tended to be the source of their power.
Letter said:
Dear Takeshi,

Again, congrats on the work that you've done with Konoha, I knew that I left the village in good hands. Though it's been a year since we last saw each other, I've done a lot of soul searching and a lot of conversing with Yomi and we've come to the conclusion that it's best for us, you and Konoha if we move far away from the political realm of things. Usually Hokage don't pass the mantle on while alive and just as Kami disappeared (though I still actually know where he's at . . . relatively) when I became the Hokage, Yomi and I are following suit and taking our family with us.

Our fear is that if we stuck around that we'd unduly influence the politics of the land by being a large sphere of influence onto ourselves. Hopefully you can see the reasonableness with this decision and hopefully you're not too enraged over it. Yomi thinks I'm a fool for telling you but we're in the Lightning Country and we'll probably settle into a comfortable if but quiet life here while still continuing to make sure that Fire and Lightning Alliance stays strong. That being the case, we'd like to request that you close all of our shinobi profiles, removing us from the active duty list as we'll be registering with Kumogakure or something akin to that sort of line of work (kids cost money you know . . .). Alas, it's been a pleasure and again, if your life is in danger, you'll know how to reach me. Thanks for everything!

The Second,
Kaisenami Umashi

P.S.
If you're still reading at this point and haven't turned the letter to cinders via Amaterasu . . . then you're a god among Uchiha. Again, I do mean it when I say that I believe that you'll do well, I just don't want to be the stumbling block that's used against you. I appreciate you giving my request thoughtful concern. If there's any questions, concerns or comments . . . then give me all the smoke because I'm about that life.

Best,
Umashi

Takeshi allowed himself to sigh slightly, it seemed that he was content with the fact that this letter had come from Umashi. He allowed himself a few moments to pause as he looked at the letter that had been sent to him. As he read it he felt the twinge of annoyance run up his spine. He felt his heart stop as he read the words it felt like someone had just ran a knife threw it as he stood there in silence. He allowed himself to take a breath in before the paper erupted into flames in those few seconds.

“I presume that you are waiting for a reply or an answer to bring back to the Second Hokage?”

Takeshi allowed himself a few minutes, he knew better that to attack something that was just doing the work of another. He knew full well that he wanted to say that he needed Umashi, that he wanted the guidance of someone that he had looked up to. But once more that person had turned and left, was this the curse of someone in his position, that no matter who he looked up to they ended up leaving, Kami, Kazuki now Umashi and Yomi. The wounds cut like a knife direct into him as he sighed and turned himself to face the contract.

“Then have my reply, the village can never truly repay the debt of a Hokage, they have lead us in darkness and in light, and have pushed themselves to strive to be a pillar of this community. I grant them this wish, I grant them the right to live out there days away from the village and I wish them only a happy future together. I will remove them from the registers and I will accept their wishes, tell the Raikage that I wish him well. Now we are done here now”

Takeshi finished the conversation as he spun around and allowed himself to walk back threw the gates of the village, he allowed himself to wipe a single tear from his eye as he moved inside the gates knowing full well that he had lost another two friends today, as he pulled the Hokage hat down covering his face he walked the streets once more.

“Maybe I am cursed to lose everyone that I looked up to, if that is my life for being Hokage or the Clan Head. I have yet to decide.”

Kin had lived for quite a long time. Longer than Umashi in fact, heck . . . he'd also been there when Umashi and Takeshi had had a stare down of epic proportions that saw Takeshi formally and irrevocably prove that he had what it took to be the Hokage. Never in all his life had he expected Takeshi to just let them leave. Heck, he was nigh sure that Umashi expected the ANBU to follow him back. Somewhat stomped, Kin started to stutter a response but quickly closed his mouth and cocked his head to the side. Was this real? Perhaps it was a genjutsu. Biting down on his tongue, the contract felt only pain and no sweet release from a genjutsu. This was real, as crazy and as unexpected as it was. Words couldn't describe what had transpired today, and indeed, Umashi's grandchildren would be told this story. Speaking through the pain of a tortured tongue, Kin spoke up. "You know . . . you'll go down in history as one of the greats for this. You're just full of surprises Lord Hokage. Thank you, from both me but also the entire Kaisenami clan." Bowing again, the contract turned to leave. There would be no long goodbye because no goodbye was truly forever.
